Crew arrived early. It was a neat and professional installation by a crew of 6 guys on my home. The entire project was completed in six hours. We did have a couple of issues but they were worked out to my satisfaction during the installation. I am happy with the results and highly recommend New York Power Solutions/Long Island Power Solutions for a solar electric system. It really is a no-brainer decision that provides you financial savings and environmental savings with no out of pocket, a nice double green whammy.

5 STARS and I will Tell you WHY: Super Impressed with NY POWER and highly recommended. Got quotes from 10+ companies and these guys offered the BEST service, most professional work and did what they said they would for a fair and good price. Got a cheaper price from a car company (that I love) but the car company was terrible at solar design and could not compete on service or warranty. NY Power uses adults and are professionals. They have their own app and showed up with a large crew of 12-14 guys to do my job. They listened to my suggestions in the design and followed through. They did have a missing part and had to come back but did so without hesitation and had drive to finish the job. They called off some work when it got too windy which I appreciate. I would much rather have them come back the next day than fall despite being tied off with anchors. Super coordination with inspection which passed with ease. Go Green and Save some Green with NY POWER SOLUTIONS! Thank you NY POWER! Hope I never need service but I know you will be there if needed.

New York Power Solutions did a great job installing my solar panels. Once some tweaking is done to the "fuze box", I look forward to getting lots of energy from the sun. The entire staff worked hard on a very hot day to complete the one day installation of 16 panels. Thanks NY Power Solutions!!!

Joe Strzelecki At New York Power Solutions helped us select and install a perfect solar system.
He walked me through all the options within the system and how it would interface with my home and options for my existing generator. He also help me set up my car charger for our first EV. He even walked us through how to finance the ancillary costs like replacing our existing leaking roof. Then , over a year after our install - Joe answered on the first ring and help us troubleshoot an issue with our Gateway controller.

To date the project has gone well. I especially wish to commend the crew. I am the retired owner of a level five residential renovation firm in NYC. I know crews, and how they interact with each other. I have a very good idea of the requirements of the work and when it is done properly. All of the men were self starting. They pitched in and worked without being continually prompted. Once a decision was made on the order of trades for the day, they went to work with a will. The execution of the work appears to excellent.

Overall a decently smooth process. Took about 5 months from start to finish. They do a lot of the work for you including permitting, sending a notary to you to sign all the necessary paperwork, but you do still have to keep on top of them. For example, permits were approved by my town at the end of September yet only when I emailed towards the end of October asking for an update did they tell me that they were actually approved and ready to schedule install.

Installation day was a huge crew that immediately started work with little discussion of what to expect for the homeowner. It was only when it was too late that I noticed they were running the solar conduit route up to the roof in the ugliest way. More upsetting was that when I received the approved plans in the mail after install day, the route was originally planned in a much more inconspicuous area towards the back of the house. I expressed my dissatisfaction and they initially said they would make it right. Yet 3 months later they’ll just do it for another couple thousand dollars. Disappointing. Moral of the story - you can never be too trusting, still need to do your homework and stay on top of the work, as with most other work to your house.

On the positive side, the panels work great so far. We will see over the year how much we actually end up saving.

Just activated our solar system installed by New York Power Solutions. Could not be happier. One of the most professional, thorough, dependable, communicative companies I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. My rep Drew Divittorio was so friendly, trustworthy, patient and helped me understand absolutely everything about the system and worked diligently to get me the best price. One of the best assets NYPS has is their partnership w GreenSky a lender who was able to lend the full tax rebate upfront at 0% interest (!!!) for 18mos, significantly decreasing the money needed initially to get going on install. This is a total game changer. The install team was super professional and fast, installing 30 panels in about 2/3 of a work day. I just got off the phone w their quality assurance team. The app is excellent user experience-wise. I'm obsessed w monitoring our usage daily. Happy to say the system is working flawlessly even though it's winter. I considered solar for a good 10 years with many many companies coming to assess and provide estimates. NONE were convincing enough until this company came along. Very satisfied and excited to one day bypass paying ConEd altogether. New York Power Solutions couldn't have made this transition into renewable energy smoother and honestly delightful.

A team came over to do the install, which took a couple of days. Finally they scheduled the city inspector to come over and sign off on the quality of the installation. Clear communication and expectations throughout the process. I am on track to make back my $ investment in my roof in less than 4 years total, after that it will be an income producing asset. After one year I haven't had to do any maintenance or otherwise experienced any issues. You get a cellphone app which shows you how much each individual panel is producing, which can help if you are considering pruning trees that start to attenuate your exposure. I don't think about electricity much anymore, because I pay $0 per year, and would be glad to recommend NY Power Solutions and David Kowalsky to any friend or family member. Once we got the permits from the city and we went online, every day it was fabulous to look on our cell phones app, and to see how much electricity we were generating! We had been Con Ed in Yonkers, New York. They are a for profit monopoly and a very greedy company. Thank goodness, we are not depending on them anymore.

When we decided to go solar, we did a lot of shopping and homework. There are companies out there that really are pushy and not that good at all. I phoned our real estate agent of 18 years, Jeremy Zucker, he recommended this company highly. He did his research and that's why I phoned him. He's been with them for a couple of years and he has had only great experience with them. I'm so glad I got his recommendation. There are so many companies out there, but this was the best by far! I met David Kowalsky in my neighborhood and he introduced New York Power Solutions to me. I am very pleased he did. I appreciate that David is from the community and he took the time and care to make sure all my skepticism was quelled and that the project made sense for us to do from a cost benefit analysis. Then installation was a quick one-day event which made me happy as well. They installed a monitoring device which shows me the effectiveness of the solar arrays and if/when I have had issues with that, the home office has been very helpful. Overall I am very satisfied with the whole experience and the system is performing just a little bit better than predicted. That’s great!
