Reviews of local pros in Whitestone, New York

I needed a sidewalk and curb repaired to remove an NYC sidewalk violation. Sal and his crew filed for the building permits and got the work done within 48 hours. Excellent experience.

They did a wonderful job on my backyard. The rain went down smoothly the other day. This is the first time I have no flood in years. They rearranged the PVC pipe and sloped the pavement beautifully. Great job!!!👍

Vinny & Son Contracting did my curb, sidewalk, driveway and pavers in the backyard. They were punctual, professional and the finished product exceeded my expectations. I would gladly use them again and refer them to friends and family. As a matter of fact, several neighbors contracted him to do their driveways, curb, and pavers after seeing the job he did for me.

Vinny and Sal did a great job. They redid the sidewalks & curb. New paver driverway. Installed drainage pipe. Redesigned the backyard with pavers and the side of the house along with new stoop. True professionals. We highly recommend them.

Vinny and Sons did a great job. They showed up everyday on time and completed the work in the timeframe provided. They gave us suggestions and ideas which we implemented. My husband and I highly recommend them.

THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! If you are wanting to create a wow factor at your home this is the team you want to hire! This father and son duo does incredible, beautiful work and I couldn't be happier. Very professional they are. They are hard working, very responsible, they show up every business day from 7AM to 5PM to make sure the job gets done to perfection and they are respectful. Their attention to detail makes them one of the best in the area. After meeting with a few local contractors, I chose Vinny and Son and I'm so happy I did. They replaced my retaining wall, redid my driveway, walkway, steps, patio, repointed my chimney, waterproofed my home, and then some. They also did a large paving stone job in my yard. They take tremendous pride in their work and are master craftsmen. This father and son duo have an incredibly creative mind and an eye for bringing your vision to life but making it 10x better. I would never use anyone else for a masonry project. This company is TOP-NOTCH and they are the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I cannot recommend them more highly these guys were incredible to see in action... Thank you so much again Vinny and Son!!!

Used Vinny and Son Contracting to install Cambridge pavers in my patio. They not only did an excellent job with the pavers, they cut the roots to my Japanese Maple tree saving the tree where the roots pulled up and cracked my patio floor. They were very professional, neat, timely snd reasonably price. I would highly recommend them. Sal and crew are the best!

Sal and Vinny along with their crew did an amazing job redoing our sidewalk.
They were punctual, clean up after work was done, professional and efficient throughout the project. I would highly recommend them to anyone, or contact them for any additional projects.
I've given them five stars, but would have given them more if there were more listed.

Vinny and Sal just completed a renovation on our home and we couldn't be happier with the result. We replaced the front steps and walkway with pavers as well as the back porch and yard area. We also replaced the driveway and walkway with new concrete and covered the bottom foundation of the house in stone.

It was a big job but Vinny,Sal and their team worked non-stop from 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Saturday for two weeks to complete. Both Vinny and Sal worked with us to achieve the look we wanted. At the end of each day we would go over the work done and discuss what was happening the next day. There was never any surprises as to what was happening.

The competed job is beautiful and we receive many compliments from people passing our home.

Vinny and Sal, please give every prospective client my contact information. I need to tell them what outstanding professionals you and your team are. The quality of your work and the obvious pride you all take in ensuring everything is done correctly—down to each detail—is a lost art in today’s world. It was a pleasure doing business with you all and I already have a few more projects on my list for next year. A++++ work!!!And when I figure out how to add pictures to this review, I will do that.

Vinny & Sons is a professional, reputable company. They just finished doing our front walkway in concrete and our walkway to the house in pavers. Their work is very neat, they are fairly priced and are courteous, hard working and on time. They actually finished our job faster than they anticipated. I would highly recommend them for any concrete or paver work that you have.

Vinny & Son did a beautiful job for us. We had redone our staircase and pavers done in our backyard and side walkway. They are true professionals- reasonable price, got the job done very quick, arrive on time everyday, and clean up each day after the they're done. Thank you guys!

Vinny & Son Contracting just completed some work for us, including waterproofing, a new driveway, sidewalks, stairs, and a retaining wall. From start to finish, the job was done with fine craftmanship, courtesy, and professionalism. They paid attention to even the smallest detail, answered all our questions, and followed through on all aspects of the work promptly and reliably. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and would highly recommend this father and son team and their crew.

Vinny redid my front steps- his work is fabulous and he is a great communicator.

My husband and I hired Vinny & Son to do a decent sized overhaul in front of our home and we are overjoyed with how well it came out. They were nothing short of amazing infact so amazing that while they were working 2 neighbors hired them to do work on their residences as well. They were timely, professional and the quality of their work exceeded our expectations. They had no problem completing last minute add on requests and their prices were unbeatable. We will 100% use them for future projects.

We couldn’t be happier with the work done by Vinny and Sal! Wanted to update our backyard with a new patio especially since we had a serious bamboo issue and they did an amazing job. They showed up, worked all day long, and was able to transform our backyard in a weeks time. Sal was able to answer all our questions to concerns we had and was very accommodating when we wanted to make a few changes while the project was going on.
They don’t cut corners and the project gets done right; no need to stand over their shoulders.
Thank you Vinny, Sal and team for all your hard work!

Vinny and Sal did great job replacing my driveway 6 years ago and walkway last week! They are very professional. They have the right equipments to do the right work. I would highly recommend Vinny and Son for concrete jobs such as walkway, driveway etc!👍

I previously had my driveway replaced about 12 years ago. Within two years it began go spaul and crack. So I was apprehensive to do another concrete project but when done right it is what we prefer. My neighbor had used Vinny and Son a couple of years ago and did a beautiful job. Since we live on a common driveway, speed and expertise without sacrificing quality was paramount. Vinny told me 2 to 3 days tops including repouring my garage floor. When the excavation started faults from the previous project presented such as broken electrical line and poor foundation under our patio block wall. In spite of this the team addressed and quickly repaired them better than before. Additionally they also repaired about a quarter of my neighbors driveway by also completely excavating it and repouring new concrete. I could tell right away that this was a much better quality job than the previous one. In both projects I asked for a six inch pour. The previous job some areas were six some less. This project had six inches throughout the entire driveway. I could also see that unlike the last job, the curing and color was uniform and just looks great. I highly recommend Vinny and Son for their professionalism, knowledge and expertise.

Vinny, his son Sal, and crew did an amazing job with our porch renovation. They are professional, organized, efficient, courteous, and punctual. They started early in the day, worked hard all day, and had the project completed on time. Family and neighbors have also commented on the excellent quality of their work when they saw our porch. They take pride in their work and it shows. I would definitely use them again if other projects arise and highly recommend them.

Vinny & Son Contracting did a wonderful job clearing out the dense vegetation in our backyard and putting in a beautiful patio with pavers. They were very knowledgeable, hard-working and meticulous, and always arrived promptly when promised. We have since received several compliments on the backyard from our neighbors and are looking forward to enjoying it! We highly recommend them.

I Highly recommend them. I have a construction background and you want guys who do the right thing without being told.Sal’s Concrete work was commercial grade and the price was competitive.
