It was great experience overall. Team was very professional, on time and work ethics is great. I am very impressed how patio turned out, very beautiful. My backyard is uneven, Darinel came up with plan to build small retaining wall to level the ground for the patio. On the spot he was willing to go extra step and build a nice seating wall to cover the patio's height. Intelligent, down to earth and focused on the project. He built, to make it look good. It was great price too. I had multiple (I think 5 of them) companies come by to give the estimate. He was the only one who gave me the reasonable quote. I have few more projects, I will be working with him. I recommend him 100% to build your dream backyard.

I hired DM Landscaping to address erosion and drainage issues in my backyard by adding a French drain and running my gutters underground. I also had him bring in 30 yards of soil to address erosion and poor drainage. He also seeded my yard and extended some of my mulch beds.

Darinel was easy to work with, provided recommendations and was flexible as I made some changes during the work. He and his crew were knowledgeable and did great work. They coordinated all the deliveries (dirt, rocks, border, etc.) and was able to do the job around my schedule. I’ve attached a bunch of before, during and after photos below.

I plan on using DM landscaping again to address some additional issues in my front year later this fall. Very happy and highly recommend.

Kevin is great to work with! This was the 2nd time we used him. The first was last year for exterior lighting. This year it was to install a walkway (with pathway lighting) and expand our mulch area and install plants. And we installed new sod to replace the original bermuda grass installed by the builder. Keven is very responsive, thorough, precise and pleasant to work with. He takes the time to understand what we want and works with us at every step of the way - sometimes that's using our original ideas and sometimes that's offering alternatives based on his experience if he thinks there's a better way. My wife and I highly recommend giving him a call and seeing what he can do for you.

Hired Fontaine Landscaping to install a patio, drainage system, walkway and lightning system. The project ran smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. The contract was specified in detail and the team was easy to work with and they listened to our requests and suggestions.

We've been using Fontaine Landscaping for lawn maintenance and special projects for about a decade. Kevin is always a pleasure to deal with. And during those rare instances when an issue arises, he is always quick to respond. I highly recommend them.

TLDR: Overpriced, poor service and aloof.

Outside of the sales guy, my experience with Fontaine was terrible, from start to finish.

Charged me $400+ a month for subpar yard maintenance, using an outsourced crew that couldn't have cared less about their quality of work. Only after I told them to cancel my contract did they admit the work being performed was "atrocious", then they had the gall to ask me to reconsider!

Worst part of the ordeal was that I copied the owner, Kevin, on several emails expressing my dissatisfaction and never once received a reply from him.

Poor quality, poor value, poor service and most importantly, poor recovery. Mistakes and misses happen - I get that - but when no effort is made to make a correction / recovery, that speaks to a cultural problem within the company.

Overpriced, unreliable, promise everything - deliver little. I hired Fontaine a year ago to take total control of my extensively landscaped yard. They were expensive but I thought it would be worth it -- it wasn't. The person I initially talked to was knowledgeable about plants, shrubs, maintenance, etc. He was fired and it went downhill from there. They have high turnover and no quality control. Perhaps a victim of the current hiring/talent problems they subcontract everything and are really just a mow-and-blow operation. It seems like too many clients are forcing them to spend as little time on your property as possible. Their intent is to get in and out of your yard as fast as possible. I had to stop paying them to get their attention. They made a short-lived push to fix things neglected for months but it was not sustainable. My yard looked far worse than it ever had when I let them go.

I finally took over my own landscaping and found reliable, knowledgeable subcontractors for the various tasks at a fraction of the cost. My yard now looks great and I'm spending a fraction of what they were charging.

Kevin and his crew did an amazing job transforming our yard. We purchased an older home and sadly our landscaping had been neglected. Kevin listened to our ideas and provided us with detailed pictures that incorporated our vision and budget. Additionally Kevin updated our existing outdoor lighting and added additional LED fixtures. Our new yard look beautiful during the day and at night. Highly recommend Fontaine Landscaping!
