Chris and Kheri were great to work with. They helped us “phase out” our needs and to stay within our budget. Chris explained everything to us in great detail before, during, and after the project was complete. Chris is super knowledgeable, reliable and professional. Looking forward to working with Chris & his team in the future.

Well after meeting with at least five different contractors and actually hiring not one but two contractors, I was just about fed up with dealing with these water issues that only got worse when these other contractors convinced me not once but twice that they would deliver me what I thought at the time was just a simple result of managing and executing some water and making my yard look nice and have the water move away from my home not towards it.

Each one of those different contractors did nothing but make the problem worse and now at this point in time I had water pouring into my basement.

And that is where my wife and I have our separate offices, with my mother-in-law bedroom in the middle and the walkout part of the basement.

Needless to say when I had to vacate my bedroom for my mother-in-law it was something I was willing to do with without a question of a doubt but this is where this problem really got my attention and I was going to settle for nothing but the best.

I can't tell you how blessed my entire family was when I went down to Siteone landscape supply in Gastonia.

After showing the gentleman behind the counter who was so nice many pictures of the results and videos of when it rained. He was the very start I'm an absolute consistent nightmare I was just talking about that lasted for more than 2 years and multiple attempts the very start of what we still to this day cannot believe that there is virtually very few Craftsman that seemed to exist in any business but when it comes to drainage and grading?

I had a hard time getting people to show up for the appointments, and that was when they answered their phone

We were told by this gentleman at the only person he could ever think of that would be capable of even understanding how to start to fix my problem was Chris Wendt from Triple Earth.
Then as me and this gentleman we're talking, another gentleman walked up to the counter from the back and said "he's really busy and this looks like something you need to get taken care of tomorrow, I'd give him a call and let him know what's happening.

We booked online with him before we left the parking lot.
It must have been less than 2 hours that we got a response back from Kheri. We asked if we could get an earlier appointment and that lovely woman picked up the phone and called him and explain to him what was going on and he was able to come out and see us that Friday.

We didn't have to tell Chris where the water was coming in at or where it was sitting, he pointed that out. He physically showed us from the outside of the home where he knew water was getting in. Coincidentally the exact same places the flooding happens almost every time it rained, and when it really rained hard it was a nightmare getting it cleaned and pumping the water out

He explained to us that there wasn't just one particular thing that was the silver bullet approach and that through grading alterations and designs with a little bit of this and a little bit of that it was more than just work.

We have not seen one drop of water not just in the basement but we don't have any wet spots outside that the dogs would bring in red mud every time it rained and we could not be happier.

They knocked the ball out of the park, it was unbelievable,!

I never in a million years would have thought that solving a water problem and flooding problem would have been probably worse than brain surgery even though I've never tried it 😆

I have triedfixing my own water problems and couldn't even see people do it multiple times that profess to be professionals in it!

I am not going to badmouth the two other companies other than that they and us know that they failed and felt very confident about !
    the others did not deliver!

Triple Earth however most certainly did

I don't want to pretend to understand how they did it,but most certainly delivered and it looks so very good

The team from Triple Earth are amazing!! From design, service, and install they were incredible! After seeing the erosion problem at our residence they acted fast and came up with a solution that fit within our budget to save our foundation. Their knowledge on soil types, natural solutions and creativity is second to none. If you are looking for decorative landscaping or solutions to drainage issues you need to call them.

I want to make it very clear that five stars is not high enough to rate our experience with Triple Earth 10 stars min.

Me & my wife put a home in Charlotte under contract a little less than three months ago.

This is the first home that we bought together for considerably more than we have in the past.

Everything checked out with the appraiser and very surprisingly also (2) different home inspectors!

When we showed the home to my mother she kept saying that it smelled “ musty “ we thought maybe it was because of the central (Hvac) more than likely not being left on average temperatures and she was just being my mother.

We had a little less than a week before closing to perform any due diligence before we were committed to buy.

I asked our in-house engineer at work what could be causing a musty smell? He said you got water somewhere it shouldn’t be more than likely. I showed him my inspection reports from the home inspectors, the exterminator & the appraisal reports.
(nothing was noted on any leaks, standing water, bad plumbing nothing, nothing at all. Only mentioning “ Average moisture levels observed)

He told me about Chris and how he helped his son fix stormwater from getting in They’re finished basement and was the only person he would personally call if he was in my shoes. He called his son and got Chris’s contact info.

I called and talked to Kheri, told her what was going on that I was nervous about going to closing before I had an answer of what my mother kept saying she was smelling.

Chris was working only a couple blocks away from the house and said he would come by after six that evening.

I told Chris what my mother was saying and he just smiled and said “ I need to check out the crawlspace. Your grading is heading right to the house, water doesn’t run hill The only place that can go is under the house.

When he came out of the crawlspace covered in cobwebs. The first thing he said was “there’s a bit of a problem”.

There was standing water in the crawlspace of the home on the entire left side and most of the back of the house. And not just a little about 6 to 7” deep. He also pointed out to me cracks in the brick on the foundation that we’re running from the ground all the way up to where the siding started.

Not only did Chris not charge me anything to come out and take a look (4) other state licensed professionals charged me in total a little less than $2000!

Not one of them pointed out anything that Chris who came out showing me pictures on his phone, and asked me if I’d like to come take a look at how bad it was. I don’t like spiders and told him I was going to take his word for it.

He went over what the solutions to fix the issues. Everything made total sense from what he was explaining. I asked him to please get me a cost estimate and written explanation of the problem.

The next morning I had it waiting in my email!

It was by far more elaborate and detailed than any of the others that I paid almost $2000 for. His report showed why it was happening with detailed specifics & pictures, overhead drawing of how everything from the drainage, grading, and re-sloping needed to be.

My wife and I decided that if the sellers agreed to pay for needed repairs we would close.

The listing agent called his engineer who not only confirmed the problem 100% agreed with the repairs that were being suggested.

The engineer also commented how surprised he was that there was anybody out there that still did it the good old-fashioned way and he does not understand why so many people to fix the problem from the inside, where the rain always comes from!

The exterior French drain with the waterproofing is 100% the only way to go!

1 year later & many rainstorms we are as dry as a bone under the house. My mother said she stopped smelling that “musty smell” the next time that she visited about a month after the repairs were complete.

Owe you more than a thanks, you all made everything happen!

    Thank you

Chris and his team at Triple Earth are top notch. We had several drainage companies come in and "fix" our poorly graded yard.... yet no one could actually get it done. Triple Earth did an incredible job. We have zero drainage issues and that has held true with the massive amount of rain we've had. We would highly recommend Triple Earth to anyone without any hesitation! THANK YOU.

Difficult to work with. Started the job in January it is now the middle of May and the job is still not finished.
Quotes a price then they said they need more money to finish the job.
Ruined the sprinklers and will not take responsibility for repairs.
Have not seen or heard from them in six weeks.
After the two week of a bad review it’s time to post the positive review.
    Triple earth did excellent work.
Triple earth and the employees are professional and knowledgeable in the aspects of their job.
    Except!
    In a few minor matters.

Really don't know where to start. Been searching for somebody that could come with a solution to our very bad water problem that has started to come into our finished basement about 3 months ago. We met with several companies that wanted to cut out during channels on the inside of the basement floor turf. All the carpet and above. Everything else did not want to fix a water problem once it got inside the house or in the basement? We wanted to fix it from the outside if possible, research and search. Everybody had the same idea. Then we got a hold of Mr. Went. We ask Chris to come over and look at our home and he immediately went to the place in the backyard where we literally seen the water shooting through the sheetrock and wall. See that makes rock and wall. He immediately went to the place in the backyard were we literally seen water shooting to the sheetrock and wall. We were first kind of skeptical and worried that the solution was going to have to be the same as the other companies and the quotes we received from them. We were so thrilled that when we ask Chris if that was what he was going to have to do. He said of course not. Why would anybody want to tear your house up music to our ears? Triple earth gave us a very good price that came in less expensive than the other options that we were not comfortable going with the project took about 6 days and they had to dig down over 8 ft to get to the bottom of the footing. The way that triple Earth did this to make sure the entire exterior of the wall had concrete grout smooth to perfection, super professional. I did everything they said they were going to do. It was such a pleasant and quick experience for both my neighbor and myself that we both highly endorse this company. I will not use any other company other than this I was treated with the utmost respect and shown everything that was done and being done and he took time to make me understand it. I greatly appreciate Mr. Went and his crew. They did a fantastic job.

First off I want to thank Chris and his team for coming to our rescue. My wife and I built our home in 2008 on my family land and for the past few years we been having water and drainage issues. I tried to fix the issues myself but I helped but didn’t fix the problems til we found Chris. Chris was very knowledgeable about our issues and went over everything he and his team were going to do. After everything was complete we had a heavy rain and everything worked as promised. Chris and his team are top notch

We had a wonderful experience with Chris and Manny. Our home and garage sit down in a “bowl” with a gravel driveway. We’ve had so many drainage problems and our driveway becomes a muddy nightmare. Chris came up with a plan; resloping the earth away from the home, leading the water to several drainage boxes and then piping the water away. Manny and his team completed the work exactly as explained and we are thrilled with the outcome!! We’ve had 2 other contractors attempt to fix our issue but within no time it was back to a mess. Triple Earth’s solution has stayed rock solid with zero issues since the work was completed in early August. PS- if Chris recommends crush n’ run, do it!!! It makes all the difference in the world! Thank you again for guaranteeing your work and checking in periodically to make sure all is still well. We would highly recommend Chris and Manny!

We had been searching for a company that could rebuild our retaining wall. After searching and talking to several companies, it was by chance, through a mutual acquaintance, that we came in contact with Chris and his company, Triple Earth.

Initially we were skeptical because we didn't know what we didn't know. After meeting Chris at our home, he identified the root cause of the deterioration of the wall. It turns out, we had a major drainage problem. Triple Earth oversaw the repair of the wall, in addition to, the solving of the drainage problem. We now have a yard that drains properly, which is huge, because no more water is draining near the foundation of the house.

In addition to, Triple Earth was able to solve another drainage problem that was outside of the original scope of work.

I must say, Triple Earth and their team, are honest, hardworking and reliable. They did the job in a very satisfactory amount of time.
They went above and beyond our expectations. So much so, we have made the decision to always contact them first whenever we have a landscaping, drainage, grading, construction, concrete or a similar project before we call anyone else.

Thank you very Chris and Triple Earth Llc.

    Andre and family!

I have to agree with the poor rating that this company received from Robert and Denise since our story is similar to theirs. When I first contacted Triple earth, I received a call from Chris. However, it took a while for someone to show up to see the job after they cancelled twice. One reason was because of rain which was understandable and the other one was because he was caught up with another job emergency. When Chris finally came I was impressed by his knowledge and wanted him to send me an estimate. Meanwhile he asked me to have all the utilities markings done. Within a week they were done and as he asked, I sent him the pictures and was promised an immediate estimate. The entire process started since October 2 and no job estimate has been sent. When I tried texting and calling there is no response. I am very disappointed because he sounded quite professional and knowledgeable. But there is no way to evaluate his work since he has never started mine. I am restarting the entire process of finding someone to do the job!

I have to agree with Michael’s review. We contacted Triple Earth last May because of a drainage problem in our back yard. Chris came out and seemed very knowledgeable so we decided to hire him for our project. We were told it would be a few weeks because they were backed up. A couple of weeks passed and we did not hear anything from them so we called. And called and called. We were told numerous times they were backed up, Chris was out of town, we were number 3 on their list, we were next on the list and on and on for months. After wasting months dealing with them, we are in the process of finding another contractor. Had we been told from the beginning that they could not do it or did not want the job, it would have saved us months of frustration and wasted time. Very unreliable and unprofessional.

I’ve worked with Chris on several projects together. It’s hard to find someone who matches my attention to detail and eye for perfection. Doesn’t matter if it’s laying sod, installing French drains, or building a long lasting retaining wall - Chris is the guy you want doing your outdoor projects.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Triple Earth!

I hired Triple Earth Grading & Drainage Solutions a little over a year ago to fix the problem of water coming into my crawlspace and keeping my entire yard completely soaked.

Every time it rained, I could not let my dogs or kids out as they would bring in nasty red mud.

I had hired two different landscapers to fix the problem, and one of them made my problems significantly worse.

I literally was burnt out and was giving up.

A friend of mine had told me that her parents had hired this company to fix a lot of similar problems, and they were super happy.

Triple Earth gave my family, their yard back and fix the water problem that was causing so much mold in the house and my foundation to settle.

They also fixed the foundation after it was discovered, and we had no idea this problem that was here so long cause so much more damage.

Anybody reading this take my advice, fix your water problems, or it’ll cost you way more than you could ever imagine down the road if you don’t.

My yard and crawlspace has been very dry for over a year and a half.

Special thanks to Chris Wendt and his son Riley that did the impossible.

Their French drains work 24 hours a day without electricity needed and are pumped that we had installed underneath the house. I don’t think I have ever heard turn on since they fix the problem.

    Can’t say enough good things!

The landscaping inside that they did for me afterwards, was set on some of the prettiest grading that I never could imagine before they were done.

We are so, so happy !

    Thank you
    Triple Earth

When we called Chris at Triple Earth we were feeling pretty hopeless. Our house was getting washed away from poor work from another contractor and our yard was a swamp from runoff and all sorts of other external factors. I was a little apprehensive as
Chris first came across as a snake oil salesman, pointing out all of the mistakes everyone made previously and showing me all of the other issues that we had to deal with and telling me he had the answer to all of my problems.

Thankfully, I listened. This guy really knows his stuff. You would think that everyone in this business would know how to handle and divert water (hint, it finds the easiest path and goes downhill), but that knowledge is not as intuitive and widespread as you would expect.

Chris and his crew were amazing. They were so polite and would never leave a mess behind when they left for the day. One day they were out there in the bobcat and our neighborhood had a party with all of the kids and he let them all get in the machine and take pictures. They thought it was the coolest thing and still talk about it over a year later. That's just one example of the type of guys who work here.
The guys at triple earth have truly mastered the art of drainage and are very passionate about it. Everyone I had come out told me it was impossible to fix my yard and that I just needed to have a flooded natural area and plant some bushes that loved water. Chris had the vision to see how to fix my unfixable problem and now I have a well drained and usable yard that I had previously written off.

I read through all of the reviews on here, and I completely understand the frustration the negative reviewers felt. Chris's biggest problem is that there is only one of him and there are countless people around the city who need his services. He's not always easy to get ahold of because it's hard to respond to people when you're operating a giant bobcat. However when you have his attention and he's on your project, you will have a wonderful experience and end up with a better finished product than you could have ever wanted.
In all honesty, if other contractors didn't cause so many problems he had to come behind and fix, he wouldn't be so busy. I think HGTV should make a tv show for him similar to "Holmes on Homes". I'd probably call it "Making the Grade"
We couldn't be happier with the work that we had done. We would recommend Triple Earth to anyone who has drainage issues or needs a true renaissance man to do their outdoor space right the first time, because it's a lot more expensive to pay for it twice.

Chris came out and spent nearly an hour walking the property with me and explaining our drainage issues in detail. He said he would follow up in a few weeks.... here we are over a month later, and crickets. Not sure why it's so hard to find good service providers who can communicate and follow through nowadays.

We used Triple Earth on an investment property we purchased last year. This property had more problems than we could count!

    * Water coming into the crawlspace every time it rained.
    * Yard soaking wet for days after it rained.
    * Standing water everywhere!
    * Mold & mildew growing rapidly as the weeks went on.

We actually hired another compay before we hired Triple Earth because, I'll admit, they were a little cheaper. Boy do we regret that! The competing company left us with a mess 5 times bigger than what we started with. We still had water problems and our property was now loaded with garbage and debris. Not to mention completely torn up! Ultimately, we were left with a horrible attempt to fix our issues by someone we should have never hired! A little advice from someone who's learned the hard way, don’t work with contractors because they are cheaper, work with them because they have a history of excellence!

Triple Earth is so incredibly amazing at what they do! And they stand behind their work. The owner Chris wasn't comfortable leaving the site until both my husband and I were completely satisified with his work. Talk about integrity!

Triple Earth was on time and always showed up when they said they were going to. They were neat, clean and professional. They saved our hide by taking on the mess we were left with from the other contractor.

The finished product was beyond what we could have hoped for! They are undoubtably the best in the business. I personally would not consider ever working with anyone else, ever!

    I recommend Triple Earth 110%!

We met Chris when his team was working on another house in the neighborhood. He came over to our property and gave us some great options for improving the landscaping and waterflow on the property. It was a fair price and he got started right away. The work was completed promptly and professionally. We would definitely recommend Triple Earth.

I had a very bad water problem coming into my crawl space & flooding my yard.

I had just purchased my home 9 months before the nightmare situations popped up.

I had been dealing with wet muddy conditions in my yard and my entire crawl space soaked with from best what I could tell 6 in of water or more for months

After calling multiple landscapers, plumbers, handyman & even a Golf course expert looked, nobody had any real make sense solutions.

And of at all places a taco stand off of South Boulevard I found what needed.

I was standing behind two gentlemen wearing gray shirts with Drainage Soultions wrote on the back.

Had I not stopped at that particular taco stand at that particular time I might still be dealing with these issues today!

After chatting with them for a little bit telling them what I had as a situation they both reassured me that that's what they do day in and day out, and told me to give Katie at the office a call.

I could not be more happy with the service and results that I received.

No more wet yard, no more water in the crawl space and my smart home detector three different times over the last 3 months have reported new quality levels of air quality achieved.

Triple Earth knows how to fix things right the first time and watching them work with the efficiency, thoroughness and quality I would highly recommended #1 to anybody who has anything close to any of the things that I mentioned having to deal with myself.

My wife mentioned more than three times during the project how neat, clean and respectful every one of the guys was.

    101% highly recommended

OMG, I cannot say enough about how grateful we are for Chris and his team, Riley and Garrett. I contacted at least 10 contractors and Triple Earth was the only one to actually come out and make me understand what was happening to my yard. My deck was shifting and sink holes developing in my yard and do not let me get started about the rotting retainer wall. Chris and his team, got us all squared away. French drain, drain boxes, correct grading, a nice rip rap wall and a piece of mind. You will not be disappointed.

Highly recommend. Triple Earth went above and beyond. The job they did for us was not easy, the first contractor that attempted the job failed miserably. Chris and crew get an A+. They listen, understand, and care. Our retaining wall and drain system is on point, looks great and does its job! 5 stars for sure.
