I called for the first time as a new customer on November 18th. (I am unexpectedly replacing the company that has serviced my gas fireplaces for several years.)

First I was told Owens could not service my two fireplaces in Ballantyne until the end of January. Given how warm it has been in Charlotte, at that point I will not need servicing until the next Fall.

Next I was offered a spot on the cancelation list. But the representative asked me to repeat myself multiple times as she noted contact information. She must have heard a touch of frustration in my voice or a sigh, because I knew I needed to call another company as quickly as possible but getting on the cancelation list was taking a lot of time. She said there is no need to be nasty. It is just past 8 AM.

If this is how Owens treats a prospective new customer, I would not expect good treatment going forward once they are convinced they have your business.

It has been many years since a company has impressed me like Owens Chimney. Kelly in the office, is a dream to talk to and did the best she could to get us on the schedule for a leaking chimney. The company sent texts everyday to let us know who was coming and when they would arrive. Ryan and Cameron did the repair and impressed us even more. They worked one day from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m. trying to beat the forecasted rain. Their work ethic was over the top and the chimney looks fantastic. These men are true craftsmen and deserve a raise! :-) They provided us with pictures as the job progressed and we couldn't ask for anything more. Owens Chimney knocked it out of the park with us! Our home was built in the 1850s (not a typo) in the Greek Revival architectural style. Among the many distinguished features are two very tall 4-flue chimneys that tower over the roof. Unfortunately, 170 years had taken its toll, and after working closely with Ryan Price, we developed a work plan to not only stabilize the chimneys, but to restore the unique architectural details that were meticulously hand-crafted so long ago.
Ryan and the Owens Team performed admirably. They communicated regularly. They took good care of the metal roof and most importantly worked safely.
When it was time to recreate the past, Ryan troweled in the original details with true craftsmanship and attention to detail not typically found in the trades today.
Our project was far from routine and we are glad we chose Owens. Many thanks to Ryan, his talented helpers, and the Owens fabrication team for their excellent work!

Owens Chimney is a great place to do business with! Quality products at a very reasonable price. I bought a new complete set of gas logs from them about a year ago and they delivered and installed them with no problems whatsoever. Forest and Robert did all the work.
Today Robert Irizarry came back on a scheduled maintenance visit. He completely disassembled the system, cleaned every piece , checked for leaks and verified incoming gas pressures. He then reassembled everything. When he was done it looked brand new. This company and their techs are top notch. See you next year for my annual check up!

I am so very impressed with Owen's Chimney Systems! From the ladies on the phone to each group of technicians that have come out to my home. They were on time, professional, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure they protected my floors! I would absolutely recommend them!!

Owens (specifically Roberto) assisted with a review of the chimney at the home I'm selling. He brings his game. He's knowledgeable, patient, kind and totally qualified after 30 years in the biz. After this interaction, he inspected the chimneys at the house I'm buying and the experience was a carbon copy of service. The customer service line is equally qualified and goes above and beyond. Adam Buhl was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and thorough in servicing our gas fireplace. The service comes at a price, but you see the value when it's complete. I appreciated the transparency in booking, being able to track the technician, and the detailed 15-page job report with photos of everything they inspected and serviced. I highly recommend Owens Chimney Systems.

Very professional company. The lady who booked my appointment was very courteous. He was extremely knowledgeable and such a great person to get my gas logs up and running due to other repairs that were needed which he had no issues making that happen. We have been really pleased with the service and professionalism from Owens. They are on time, have friendly technicians , and do good work. We not only had them install our gas fireplace but also have them provide annual servicing. Highly recommended!

We worked with Owen’s Chimney nearly 2 years ago, ultimately deciding to go with a gas unit for our then unusable fireplace. They recommended an awesome person to do the gas line, who we continue to use for all of our mechanicals. When the fireplace failed to fire this fall, Daniel came out and, with the manufacturer, diagnosed a faulty part. Once the part came in, we were notified and had an appointment within days. Today, Daniel came back out, installed the part, completed the annual service and was out in a little more than an hour.
Daniel is so pleasant and polite, super neat, and clearly knows his job well.

Cameron was such a pleasure to have working on our chimney. He was knowledgeable, fast, friendly and thorough in his job. We were very satisfied with the result. His helper, Steve was also very good at what he did and friendly too. We would ask for them again if we needed more work done.

I interacted with Forrest, Ryan, and Jamie while getting my fireplace and chimney fixed up after 30 years of not running. Every person was very professional and courteous. They listened to my questions and concerns, and took plenty of time to explain things to me, and help me make decisions about what work to do. I never felt pressured by them to get work started. The chimney cap looks excellent and I am extremely happy with the end result. Note: the crappy flashing around the chimney base is not their handiwork, and I am getting it replaced when I get my roof redone.

This is our second time using Owens and they have been fantastic to work with. Robert, our technician, was extremely personable and explained everything he was doing along the way. He shared things that were working and that we should keep doing. He was extremely honest and didn’t try to talk us into unnecessary repairs an was upfront about things that may need to be replaced in the future. Overall a great experience and we will continue to use for our fireplace inspections and repairs.

We have always had great service from Owen’s. This year I was too late to make an appointment but fortunately Elsie From the scheduling office was able to pull us off the cancellation/waitlist and we got our serviced done early. Our technician Robert was very professional, on time, and thorough. Plus he cleaned and tested our fireplace after he was done.

Thanks to Brian and all the folks at Owens. I gave my specs for 3 chimney caps back in June. I waited til October to go ahead and mount the caps. Fit perfectly! My wife is overwhelmed at how much they really add to the overall features of our house. As a retired builder I couldn't ask for better service. Thanks for the personal touch! They look amazing! Still need to keep remodeling and restoring our home. But got a big visual task accomplished.
