We hired Fineline for a 4-5 month project to convert our garage into a living room with a small laundry room and added full bathroom. They were nothing but professional, courteous and kind from the very start! After having lived through one renovation previously, the most important skills we were looking for in a GC were communication and conflict management. Every project has their unforeseen challenges, and we wanted to make sure this project team could handle them professionally and efficiently. They proved themselves in this regard with clear email communication, text messages and phone calls whenever necessary. They mediated with vendors and worked through issues with subcontractors directly and professionally. We always felt respected by all Fineline staff and appreciate their integrity and communication skills.

Of course the quality of work is also key, and they shined there as well. We are so happy with the way the entire design was created, and for the expertise they offered in the process (for example, advising us to swap the location of the bathroom and laundry room). Since we communicated regularly, we were always in the loop and notified when additional design options came up. We never felt pressured, but were thankful to have been given the options since we had never done a project like this.

We will definitely look to Fineline for our future house projects!

Communication was great throughout construction and finished product is exactly what we wanted!

Fineline constructed a Craftsman Style front porch with a mahogany door in the Lake Wylie area, using cultured stone siding, tongue and groove stained ceiling, metal roofing and a paver flooring system. Their workmanship was excellent and our satisfaction was of the utmost importance to them. Subs were professional and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend their services.

Mitch and his team did a great job adding a new screened in porch to my house. It came out better than I ever imagined. They also tore down an old fence around my pool and built a new one. Everyone was very polite and did great work. Highly recommended.

The team transformed our basement and it's become a favorite spot in our home. They were easy to work with, tackled unexpected surprises with ease, and always treated the project like it was their home. Would not work with anyone else for major renovation projects!

Fineline took a little more time than we wanted, but the end result was well worth it. The final product exceeded our expectations. Mitchell was honest and very trustworthy. He was fair and helpful with all the different changes we made.

Fineline was a fantastic company to partner with on our porch rehab project. The owner is available when needed, time and cost projections were met. We have used other general contractors locally in Cornelius Lake Norman and they do not compare to the quality and management of Fineline Construction.

Mitchell and Josh are a great team. We renovated our attic space into a guest bedroom and bath. Their crew was always on time, very conscientious, and hardworking. They finished before schedule and stayed on budget. It was the most painless construction process I’ve ever gone through. I would highly recommend them for any project large or small.

We recently added a screened in porch using Fineline Construction (in Charlotte). We interviewed a couple of companies and immediately knew to use Fineline. They were very professional, reviewed and answered all our questions, and provided a very detailed contract so we were all on the same page. They asked for money at the various stages of the project which added more confidence in Fineline being a legitimate company. They finished the job on time which was surprising because we had plenty of rainy days.

The porch looks like it was built with the house. It is a solid looking. It helps that all materials used were high quality and our favorite thing was using Trex decking. Fineline is an authorized installer of Trex and now we know why!! All the people that came to work on the porch were courteous and cleaned up after they finished (electrician, drywall, painters, installers).

We would absolutely use Fineline Construction again.

Mitchell and his team at Fineline Construction built us the home of our dreams that is located in between Davidson and Mooresville, NC. We spent years coming up with the perfect design for our family and they made it all a reality.

Mitchell was super responsive to each and every question we had along the way and helped us make some very important decisions about our home. He always had our best interests in mind and made us feel like our home was the only project he was working on (when I know there were plenty of others he was also managing).

We stayed on budget and our home was completed on time. Even after we moved in, I have always felt like we could reach out to him with questions or advice. Building a custom home was stressful - but Mitch and his entire team took a lot of the worry out of it for us. His attention to detail and craftsmanship were unlike any other and because of that, there is no other contractor we would ever trust more.

We recently had our Huntersville master bathroom remodeled by Fineline and we’re thrilled with the result! We hired Fineline in a design-build capacity. The original bathroom was constructed in 2008 and we wanted to keep the vanity, wall and floor tiles. Fineline told us that they could tie-in with existing and make it appear cohesive. Fineline removed the existing shower and jetted tub to install a large steam shower, linen cabinet, and make-up area. Fineline, their suppliers, and subcontractors helped us make well informed decisions about design aspects. The communication and coordination from the Fineline team was excellent. We found the Fineline team to be honest, clean, and considerate of working around our ever present pack of dogs.

Fineline delivered the project on time, UNDER budget, and as agreed. We will definitely use Fineline again in the future and give them our strongest endorsement!

I can't possibly recommend enough how great it was to work with Fineline Contruction

We live in Cornelius / Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte, NC. We have lived in our house for 11 years and we have done 5 home improvement projects over those years:
Kitchen/1st floor renovation
New pool
2nd Floor addition for an extra bedroom/office
Back porch addition
Master Bath Renovation
I mention these projects to show that I have worked with many contractors and construction companies (4 to be exact) on my home. I was satisfied with all of the other companies in the past, but Fineline is absolutely the very best for many reasons.

Fineline Construction and Mitchell brought a vision, then detailed a plan/budget and then executed on the plan. The end result was exceptional! I have never finished a home project, not only before the deadline, but under budget too!
Mitchell and his team renovated the entire exterior of our house, extended our garage along with performing a full renovation of our children's bathroom on the second floor. The scope of the project was larger than anything we have ever done before with our house. Fineline Construction handled ever aspect from beginning to end as promised. They always kept the worksite clean, their communication was awesome, and the materials they used were very high quality. Mitchell holds his team to a very high standard and they pay attention to every last detail. I seriously give Fineline Contruction the highest recommendation possible.

If I could give Fineline Construction 10 stars, I would do it without hesitation! We moved to the Charlotte area a year ago and bought a new home in Denver with an unfinished basement on Lake Norman. I got in touch with a few contractors, but after speaking to Mitch with Fineline Construction, I knew that was who I wanted to do the work. From our first conversation, he was respectful, courteous, honest, understanding, and listened to what I wanted. He got back to me in a very timely manner with an estimation and explained exactly how every step of the process was going to work. Every worker that helped with our basement was top notch, from Josh who looked over the entire process, to the plumbers, electricians, the handymen who framed the basement, did the drywall, shiplap, floors, etc. The finished project looks amazing, they met every deadline, and we stayed on budget! They kept the entire work area clean while they worked and when the job was complete, they had a cleaning service come and clean the whole basement! I made a few changes along the way, and Fineline Construction was always accommodating to whatever I wanted. Everyone who comes to see it comments about how well done everything is. They paid such close attention to detail and never took shortcuts! If you live in the Charlotte area and have any type of remodel that you want done for your house, I would contact Fineline Construction immediately!

We had a wonderful experience with Fineline Construction! From the first phone call to when the job was complete, they were great. Very friendly, professional, punctual, and the attention to detail was impressive. They screened in our back deck and also did a custom staircase off the back deck down to the pool area. They also finished the ceiling below the deck for outdoor living. The additions blended seamlessly into our house and looked as if they were built with the home. I highly recommend using Fineline for anything you want to do outdoors. They are fantastic!

Josh is a wonderful project manager. He was in constant contact for selections as well as letting us know when people were showing up and what to expect. He was courteous with our kids and keeping everything tidy. The front porch turned out perfect and looks like it's always been there.

I recently had my basement in the Fort Mill, SC / Charlotte, NC area finished by Fineline Construction and I was very pleased with the finished product. I worked in and around the construction business for 14 years and heard many nightmare stories about contractors and projects, but I am pleased to say Fineline was great! They weren't the cheapest quote I received, but I've learned that's often not the way to go. They also were no where near the most expensive quote I received. They did good quality work. The communication was great. They were polite, courteous, accommodating, and did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. One thing that was pretty unique is how they handled the waste during the job. Rather than having a dumpster in the driveway for a couple months (as many of my neighbors have), they built a trash "bin" that sat around back of the house and emptied it as they moved through the project. The project manager and sub-contractors were great and the owner personally came out after every phase was complete and inspected the work. He even pointed things out that I would have never seen, gave me some options and allowed me to decide how I wanted to proceed. When all was said and done, I actually came in almost 10% under what they originally quoted! I will absolutely use Fineline on any project in the future. A few pictures are attached. We recently had Mitchell and his team construct a screened in porch for us in Fort Mill, SC in the Springfield Neighborhood. They came very highly recommended from some neighbors who had used Fineline for some other projects in the neighborhood. We quickly learned that Mitchell and team were very honest, open and trustworthy. In addition, they had some great ideas and helped us with the design of the project. While things took a little longer than we anticipated, we are very happy with the finished product. Mitchell is a "stand up" guy and goes above and beyond to help his customers.

We recently worked with Fineline on an extensive renovation of our home in The Peninsula. Our main goal was to add an outdoor covered living area that blended seamlessly with the house, rather than looking like an addition. From the start, Mitchell understood the vision and offered thoughtful recommendations that improved the overall design.
The project lasted nearly a year and also included a redesigned front entry, demolition and reconstruction of our pool and pool deck, new flagstone steps and border at the front of the house, and a full exterior repaint. Throughout, Mitchell’s team was professional, respectful of our home, and flexible when plans or budgets needed to be adjusted. Mitchell kept us informed every step of the way, which made the process much smoother.
The finished result exceeded our expectations. The new spaces look like they were always part of the home. Mitchell and his team were reliable, easy to work with, and delivered high-quality results. We are thrilled with the outcome and would not hesitate to use Fineline again or recommend them to others.
