Contacted Charles to get an estimate on an a/c and furnance replacement. He and his staff were prompt, courteous and professional throughout the process. We met on Monday and the install was completed within 3 days. Thanks for the great work!

Can I give 10 out of 5 stars?? But really, these guys were sent out from my home warranty to come look at a mystery leak issue I had others look at many times before. Chad was the only one who identified and fixed the issue. He was just as frustrated, if not more, than I was when we found out the leak was from the previous owners putting in the wrong type of air duct. Him and his team were SO prompt with putting me on their calendar and getting this work done. I already brought them back to do other HVAC work I needed. He also connected me to an awesome drywall / paint professional. I'll be a repeat customer for sure!

I can't say enough about Charles In Charge, they are prompt, professional & know their stuff. They did our new heating/air install in 2020, exceptionally pleased with the service, especially since this happened during the summer months. We had to reach out again in 2022, due to the a/c issues, due to maintenance fell by the wayside because of my husband's heart issue & he normally handles all of this. They were prompt, came out & although we had a service agreement in place from prior years with another company, who's slogan is they treat you like family....well I will continue to use Charles In Charge, they are hands down one of the best in the business! I had Charles in Charge Heating & Air come out to inspect a water leak, and I’m incredibly grateful I did. Rodbin and Deangelo were the two technicians who came by, and they were absolutely professional from the moment they arrived. They introduced themselves each time they entered my home, which I really appreciated — a small gesture that shows a lot of respect.

What started as a water leak check turned into the discovery of two major issues: carbon monoxide and two separate gas leaks on different units. They took the time to clearly explain everything, showed me exactly what was going on, and stressed the seriousness of the situation without being alarmist. The water leak was fixed immediately, which I appreciated!

Their knowledge and professionalism were truly impressive, and they made me feel like I was in good hands the entire time. I would 100% recommend Charles in Charge to anyone in need of HVAC service — not only are they thorough, but they genuinely care about the safety and comfort of their clients.

Our home warranty company dispatched Charles in Charge for an A/C diagnosis and repair. CiC was out to inspect the unit in less than 24 hours. DeAngelo showed up right on time, immediately found the issue, and was just generally great to work with (solid, personable dude who knew his stuff). Currently waiting next steps from the warranty company, and will be happy to work with CiC on whatever comes next!

We have used Charles on two different occasions. They were automatically chosen for our home repair warranty when the AC went out. Mike showed up (technician), and is quite honestly the most genuine person we’ve dealt with in a long time. He was professional, on time, polite, and able to explain things to where anyone can understand. We decided to convert the garage into two bedrooms, and got estimates from several places. Charles was by far the most competitive, and after dealing with Mike, we decided to use them again.
Mike and his helper showed up, and completed the job in no time. They were again on time, professional, courteous, and incredibly hard working. They cleaned up their mess from the install each day, reviewed and explained everything they did, and made us feel comfortable with a topic we don’t know much about. The thing that stuck out was Mike went the extra mile, and thought ahead to do a clean install in the attic, leaving us room for storage and to be able to use the space comfortably.
We talked with Charles several times, and he was always a pleasure to talk to, up front and honest, and didn’t have anything hidden or extra like a lot of other places. We are absolutely impressed, amazed, and happy with the work that was done. Charles - if you read this, Mike is the sole reason we went with you again. He is a top notch employee, and a pleasure to be around. His work ethic is amazing, has outstanding integrity, and has the ability to explain his trade in normal terms anyone can understand. Thank you for a job well done. We would highly recommend you to anyone in the future!

They are good communicators (I'll give them that), but unfortunately, I had to ultimately do the work myself a few months later.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2026, Charles In Charge Heating & Air LLC, replaced the run capacitor on my Trane XR15 unit (Model 4TTR5036E1000AB, Home Warranty Work Order #7355-0182).
The capacitor they installed was over six years old, under-rated at 370 VAC instead of the correct 440 VAC, which does not meet manufacturer specs and stopped working in 2 months (it's visibly rusted, corroded, etc.). Extremely frustrating.

Our heat died the weekend b4 Christmas. This is the 2nd time that Old Republic Home Warranty sent out Charles in Charge. (Several yrs ago it was for A/C). These folks are so nice, quick, efficient & don't try to sell you things you don't really need. This time it was a simple igniter part. Installed & our house is cozy within hours. We'll definitely be recommending them!

International Mechanical Services provides excellent service. Their technicians are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They take time to answer questions to ensure I have information I need. When I have had immediate needs, they were able to accommodate in a very timely manner.

"Z" (the owner of IMS) is just a great guy. He fixed my AC in 15 minutes and cleaned up after himself. He was honest about the problem saving me $4000. The first company that was out here told me that I had to replace the whole unit which turned out not to be the case. "Z" came highly recommended to me and I am glad I hired him.

One of their drivers was on 485 driving like a maniac. I called the number on the truck and the lady who answered the phone acted very rude. I can only imagine how they operate in business.

We bought a house with a “new ac” by this company in Prescott valley AZ out of their New River, AZ location. The AC doesn’t work and upon inspection, the work they did was horrible. The company hardly ever answers calls and when they do, they no-call no-show on their appointments. Horrible work and horrible customer service. Definitely a fly by night operation. Stay away!

Rude, not very knowledgeable about the hvac systems they are supposed to repair, they don't speak English very well. They told me they don't fix electrical issues. I am not an hvac expert, but I am pretty sure they are electrical systems, with electrical wires and components. If I were an hvac repair person, I would learn a little more about the electrical system that makes them work.

On short notice they came and fixed my heat. Didn't just tell me to buy another unit, replaced a few components which saved me thousands. I appreciate the honest and fair priced work. Definitely recommend this local Charlotte business to anyone needing help or maintenance with their HVAC.
