Pleased with their work until they ghosted us (and a neighbor).

Last year (2022) New Leaf did some work for a neighbor, who was pleased with the work and recommended them to us. In the fall we had New Leaf do some work for us (flagstones, stone border, design and plantings) and were also pleased with their work.

This spring we wanted to have them do some additional work, and were communicating via e-mail to receive a quote. Suddenly all communication stopped and they no longer responded to e-mails or phone calls. Our neighbor also tried to contact them to have some additional work done and never received a response.

From start to finish, our experience with New Leaf was outstanding. In the planning phase, Sean was always gracious to quickly respond to my MANY questions. His approach was not pushy, but rather very helpful and supplemental to our own vision for our patio space. During the execution phase, Sean was present to discuss details along the way and the crew worked hard to deliver the project just as planned. The crew went the extra mile to add a few small details that we hadn’t even planned (e.g., mulch under a set of steps and hay spread over some exposed dirt to minimize weed growth until we can lay sod next spring). I don’t think any hardscaping/landscaping is cheap, so I would just say that we got a great final product for what we invested. I would recommend and will use New Leaf myself again in the future. I really felt like they partnered with us rather than simply delivering a product. Kudos!!

Mr Nazo and his team recently completed design consultation and installation of a large-scale project in our backyard: stone retaining walls, pea-gravel patio, stone walkway, planting dozens of trees, shrubs, and plants, and spreading mulch. It was a five-star experience from start to finish. Mr Nazo is a highly experienced, knowledgable, passionate, and trustworthy professional. The quality and value of his plants and work is exceptional.

Two great experiences with Nazo Landscaping. Both times had the fortune of working with Mr. Nazo. He was patient with us as we picked out 3 new trees for our front yard and would work well in the NC climate. He walked around with us and helped us pick them out, educating us along the way. 6ish months later they are doing great.
We stopped in again today (on a Sunday) for some landscaping rock to put a border around those same trees. He was easy to work with, immediately pulled out the pallet so we could load it (he offered to have it delivered, but we wanted to take care of it ourselves) and away we went. The stone we chose was Thin Mountain Mist and it dry stacked very well.
Will definitely keep using Nazo as our go-to landscaping place!

Working with Nazo Landscaping has been great. It is family owned; and Phillip, Imma and Joseph have supplied several of my home projects with dirt, mulch, stone, and beautiful plants at great prices....they really have quite a variety of healthy plants.

Mr. Nazo redesigned the planted areas of my front yard and side area. Plants were over 35 years old and needed to be replaced. Mr. Nazo set up the plan with his staff. He selected all of the plants and placed them. The red oak mulch looks great. I am very pleased with the work. The yard looks great!! I appreciated the fact that Mr. Nazo was able to do the entire project and make decisions about the right plants.

We moved into a new construction home and hired Nazo to design and install landscaping around the entire lot.

The project started quickly and was completed in a timely manner. The plants chosen in the design fully met my requirements (e.g. deer resistant, low maintenance) and within my budget (final cost was in-line with the design estimate). Phil made several design suggestions and improvements for our yard that were in addition to the plants. I really appreciate his ideas and problem solving.

Phil is a professional with a passion for his plants and takes pride in his work. His drive and work ethic are on full display with every interaction.

First trip to Nazo and won't be my last. I relocated from CA so don't yet understand the plant needs here in NC. They were so very helpful as I chose plants that were deer-resistent, and very patient explaining how to care for the plants, even providing the starter fertilizer for my new lemon and lime trees. Thank you! Highly recommend!

Philip Nazo is wonderful to work with. He will design and install a garden very reasonably. He grows his own stock and it is high quality. We couldn't find a nursery with higher quality than what Philip supplied. We are now in our second year of building our gardens and continue to use Phil. He is very knowledgeable about his stock and willing to share that knowledge. I recommend that everyone look at what Phil has before anything else. You will not be disappointed.

We worked with Nazo Landscaping for a large landscape project that included landscape beds with a variety of trees and shrubs, a firepit and improvements around our vegetable garden boxes. With Philip’s guidance we improved upon our original plan and created a beautiful yard with plants that are easy to maintain, vibrant and diverse. We were impressed with the quality and care of the plants we received. Philip spent a lot of time with us, to ensure we had a selection that we were happy with and that fit with our yard. The crew who worked closely with Philip to install our project were reliable and thorough and the job was completed in the timeline we discussed. We will definitely return to Nazo Landscaping for our future projects.

Great family business! I dropped in on a Saturday morning to order 3 tons of stone for a patio and was greeted by Philip, a most delightful gentleman who helped me find the stone I needed. He was very knowledgeable and calculated to amount I would need for the job.
I get a call early the following Monday from Philip's son who was loading my order on the truck for delivery! Within 30 minutes of the call the truck was in my driveway getting unloaded.
I will do business with Nazo Landscaping in the future. I highly recommend them.

We just purchased Green Giant arbs. and just want to share what an amazing value our purchase was. Stopped at 5 outlets throughout the state looking for the largest and healthiest looking specimens for the money. I can say that we purchased for $140 what was $350 and up elsewhere, including wholesalers in the state. Mr. Nazo chose the most robust ones for us and gave detailed advice on planting. We also had them delivered and he must not make $ on delivery because it was half what other concerns charge. And although a few reviews say Mr. Nazo is direct, you can appreciate that with a huge business, small staff and wanting to give good value and service, he does not have much time to waste. But if you love plants, trees, shrubs and the growing process he would speak with you all day!

We moved into our home (new construction) a little over a year ago and no landscaping was done at the time we moved in. My husband reached out to Nazo and he immediately came out to the house to take a look at our front yard. He designed the entire front yard with various plants and trees and also buried six drainage lines. Phillip Nazo was such a nice person to work with and very knowledgeable about each plant/tree. He was always available when we stopped by the nursery and was very attentive to questions as well as being up front when suggesting more cost effective options to consider. Everything turned out fabulous! We will absolutely use him for future projects and would recommend him (hands down).

Mr. Nazo is very knowledgeable and takes the time to know what you need and then shows you products specific to your needs. Three times we needed delivery of things and each time the delivery was made within a couple hours. His prices are very competitive and the quality of his plants seems great. Very professional and knowledgeable. Excellent quality work and quality plants and trees grown in his extensive nursery. Mr Nazo provided a landscape design and installation around our new pool construction as well as drainage work including a French drain and catch basins. Extended a retaining wall along one side of the pool deck with placement of a deck drain. Also designed and installed trees and shrubs in our side and front yard. Communication was excellent throughout and we couldn’t be happier with the result. I highly recommend Nazo Landscaping for your landscaping needs!

I’ve purchased many fruit trees from Nazo Landscaping and the pomegranates, blueberries, and mulberries are doing great. I’m harvesting about 20 large pomegranates (Russian) per tree.

We were referred to Nazo Landscaping for privacy trees after ours were taken down. Phillip came out to assess our needs and then took us to her location to view our options. He has an incredible set up and is very knowledgeable, eager to explain and share as well. We settled on 14ft trees and they were installed quickly. Beautiful trees and his dedication to creating a lovely healthy product is clear when you see his dedication to the “mother tree” We will recommend him to everyone!

I have been going to Nazo's for several years. The plants I have gotten have all been great and worked really well in our yard. Especially on a quiet day, if you are willing to ask for what you need, you can get some great personalized help.
