I had an outstanding experience with Jarrett and Guilford. This was a challenging situation because the builder was not ready when the inspector first showed up, forcing a reschedule. Even when we returned for the second appointment, the home still wasn’t fully prepared, but didn’t let that get in the way of doing a phenomenal job.
Despite the builder’s lack of readiness, they performed an incredibly thorough inspection and caught things I never would have noticed. (auto locking microwave…) What I appreciated most was the education they provided while they walked me through the home, explained how to address the issues found, and what to verify again during my final walkthrough before closing.
Their patience, expertise, and willingness to go the extra mile in a frustrating situation gave me total peace of mind. If you are dealing with a new build, Jarret and co are easy to work with.

Quick and easy scheduling. Thorough inspection and fair pricing. We walked through the house and discussed all the issues and answered all my questions. The inspection report is very easy to understand and includes color pictures and recommendations on what type of company to contact for repairs.
The above review was written before we took ownership of the home. Now that we are in the home, we have identified a large number of issues that were missed. All the windows have severe air gaps, and or leaks water. Water streaks in the walls and mold on the subfloor under carpet that was super easy to lift up. Mold in ceiling vents in bedroom. Whole house water shut off doesn’t work. Electric panel breakers did not shut off outlets and lights. He only reported 3 breakers didn’t trip. Arcing light in living room. Gas line at water heater had a small leak. The HVAC repair were down played even though he coordinated a separate HVAC inspection. This house is a true money pit, that we absolutely never would have bought, had we have been made aware of the extra $40,000 in repairs we had no idea about.

We hired these guys to do an inspection on our new build just before the one year warranty was up. I was out of the country on vacation when my inspections was done and I must say that JHI Services did an amazing job and got my inspection completed on time and in a timely manner with my copy being sent to me. I came across this company just by searching the web. I decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint. Jarrett went as far as giving me a call back while he was out of town to assure me that he got my message but had bad reception, but still was able to schedule my appointment.
