We are EXTREMELY pleased with the work that Mel and his crew completed on our property today. All trees were trimmed as previously discussed. We could not have been more pleased with the experience we had with Mels Tree Service. The quote came in 40% lower than the other companies we contacted. They showed up when they said they would, completed the project (taking down two trees, trimming three others) in one day and did an excellent job of cleanup. They took down a tree that was 18' in circumfrence and there was not any measurable saw dust in our yard.

I'm a NC licensed Falconer; my daughter let go of the bird’s leash and she got stuck in a tree. Long story short, I called around multiple places and either they weren't willing to get her down (easiest money you could make, up and down in no time) or charged too much. Highly recommend!!!

Mel’s Tree Service removed a large fallen tree from my backyard. I was given a very reasonable quote. The tree was removed efficiently and in a timely manner. The yard was completely cleaned up with minimal damage to my lawn. I highly recommend this service.

The team was very professional and did a great job taking some limbs off an oak overhanging my roof. They were able to come quickly before an impending ice storm. They even cut everything up for firewood and piled it nicely, cleaned the area up well. Great prices too!

My experience with Mel's Tree Service was top notch and I plan to use them again. This job was to cut dead limbs from a sizable oak tree. The crew was on time, listened to what I wanted, worked together well, and cleaned up the area afterwards better than it was before their arrival. The price was very fair too. Definitely a five star experience.
3/23/26…Hired Mel’s Tree Service again. Excellent work on some very tall trees. Three trees were in precarious positions hanging over a fence. One was a dead Sycamore. Not a speck of damage to the fence! The crew was on time and left my yard cleaner than they found it. They were careful with the heavy machinery and impact to the grass was less than I expected. These guys do it right. Price was very fair. I would unquestionably hire them again.

Mel and his crew did an awesome job for us. They removed three trees from our backyard, ground up the stumps and large roots and raked it level all in a half day. Highly recommend.

Mels Tree Service has done tree removal and trimming at my personal residence in addition to a few rental properties. Their prices are very fair and they do a very good job. I highly recommend them.

Same day estimate. Cut down a tree leaning over a fence in my backyard, very quick job, 2 hours and they were done. Cleaned up afterwards. Reasonable price.

We had a Bradford pear tree split one morning. Called four other companies before Mel’s. The ones that returned my call said it would be at least a week before coming out for an estimate. Mel was here in less than an hour. He came with helpers a few days later. They had the rest of the tree down and cleaned up in less than 2 hours. They did an excellent job and were very professional. The price was reasonable. I am very pleased with the job they did.

Mel was very responsive to text and calls. He was very quick to come out and give me a quote, and was able to come back the next week. His crew did a wonderful job trimming back the trees around my home. I highly recommend him to anyone needing tree work!

I have used a number of tree services but none more efficient or prompt than Mel's Tree Service. They gave me a great quote on removing two trees, showed up on time, worked extremely efficiently, and cleaned up nicely afterwards--all in one-half day. Excellent service. I highly recommend.

Mel and his crew did a great job taking down a large sweetgum tree in our front yard. They are professionals, as they carefully sawed each limb and dropped them on the ground like "threading a needle"! A very thorough cleanup followed -all at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them!

I had an older tree with a forked base that was diagnosed with beetles and was decaying and a risk to both me and my neighbors homes if it fell due to wind or ice. It was an estimated seven stories high. Mel quoted fairly as he has done several homes in the neighborhood already . He and his crew are amazing to watch — unbelievable planning!? Also , the entire crew is very organized and thoroughly cleaned up everything afterwards. straight 10/10 would highly recommend!

Mel’s Tree Service did an excellent job removing my dead tree quickly and with care of the surrounding fence and house.

I actually had to call Mel’s the same morning I had another tree service cancel on me 45 mins before they were rescheduled to come out. Thankfully Mel’s Tree service was able to come that same day and remove the dead, dangerous tree! Thank you Mel’s for your quick response and follow through, as well as leaving the area clean and ready for a new tree!

June 2024- Mel and his crew did an amazing job! They were recommended by family and did not disappoint! They were done quickly and have very reasonable rates. We had a large limb removed, 2 maple trees trimmed, several boxwoods pulled out and 2 crepe myrtles cut down. It looks great!

August 2024- Unfortunately, we had 2 large trees fall in tropical storm Debby at our other property. We called Mel again, and he and his crew started to work on removing the trees and debris the following day. Again, we were very satisfied with their work and pricing. Another job deserving of 5 stars!

Mel's Tree Service did a great job removing a sizable problematic maple in a tight spot. They were at work and even finished less that 24 hours after I first contacted them. Cleanup was great and the price was very reasonable. Much appreciated!
