I have been using Action Plumbing (John Osborn) for over 20 years. They came to the rescue again yesterday. I got a call that I had a leak between the water main and my house. I called Action Plumbing and explained I had a guest in the house for the holiday and they managed to come to my home and get the leak repaired that very day. Thanks again Action Plumbing!

John and his son helped me with a main drain that had somehow pulled loose from the house. This was under my garage floor so they had to cut the floor, repair the pipe then fix the cement. John found the issue quickly with the high tech tools they have and the cost was lower than quoted from another plumber who had already come out twice and not found the real issue.
Also enjoyed the discussion around proper septice care.

He just finished replacing old water lines in our home and putting in a new shut off valves . He did excellent work and was so professional and polite. Being appreciative is an understatement! I had a broken pipe and I was desperate. Action Plumbing was at my cottage within one hour and repaired my pipe in twenty minutes and was gone! Fair pricing and excellent service!

We called this plumber to repair a toilet. The fee was 100.00 for labor and one man. Total materials was 38.00. There was an additional 50.00 travel surcharge even though the repairman traveled less then 10 miles to this job. When I called to question the travel surcharge I was told that it was an automatic charge which means that this company’s basic fee is 150.00 for a service call. The plumber was very nice and fixed the problem.

250 dollars to use aerator key on vanity sink to get rid of gunk and set eyeballs on my hot water heater to see when it was installed to make sure it wasn't old :/ Not even 15 minutes of work. I feel a little ripped off...

Seems like I hit a nerve with the owner. The location is less than a mile from me, so 1 hour trip sounds excessive. It requires hand turning the kitchen sink to get rid of sediment, no tools needed. He took a plastic tool, an aerator key, turned it and got gunk out, called me 15 minutes later and answered some questions I have. I also didn't mention they charged me before sending me an invoice (and sent invoice later). I only called because Gentleman plumber was booked and I completely regret working with this company. And no, they would not charge the same for this simple service call (which from other reviews I see costs 150?)

They were quick to come out and fix a leak initially. When they fixed it, it was not done properly and less than a month later the same spot was leaking due to their mistake. They did not make it a priority to fix their work. I would give a negative star if I could. I hired someone else to fix their work that I had already paid for. When they called the next day the guy actually hung up on me before I could discuss the challenges.

Was told by office that the charge would be on a time and material basis and then when presented with the bill I was charged a flat rate which came to quite a bit more ($150+) than what the T&M rate would have been. I escalated to the owner and when he called all he wanted to do was lecture me and didn't even give me a chance to speak. So if you want to have a bait and switch experience and then deal with an owner who doesn't care about satisfying his customers then deal with this company.
