Although I enjoyed speaking with the people in this company, as my experience (after the installation was completed) has moved forward, things have been revealed to me through circumstance, that if I would have known at the beginning, I would have either chosen a different security system, a different company to do the job, or would have bought a system and installed it myself. After a walk-through with the install techs (before installation), some cameras were not put in the agreed locations. There was hardly any training on how to use the system properly. Some of my gear placement requests in hindsight were mistakes, but I was not advised at all against these placements. In the end I could have ordered my own system, installed it myself and saved thousands of dollars and had less aggravation. and frustration.

I have used the Ecss security system and had outdoor lights installed by them. They are always so kind and responsive! We had some issues with my doorbell camera baking in the direct sunlight and they even came and worked out a new angle and system to work through it. I think my favorite thing about the company is the quick customer service. I have had them out 4 times easily to add more lights, more cameras as my finances allow and they have always been so great. The techs go the extra mile to make sure I understand the phone system to monitor my cameras, and adding or removing access to it for me even when I'm traveling out of state.

Hired ECSS to partition my existing warehouse security system - they said it should take an experienced tech about an hour and cost a little over $100. They dispatched a junior tech who spent hours fumbling with my system and couldn't get anything accomplished, then had the audacity to bill me more than $250 for the visit, and then when I refused to pay they tacked on penalties and sent the bill to collections. I ended up calling Carolina Alarm, who were competent and did what I asked on-time and within budget. Recommend you go with Carolina Alarm instead of ECSS.
