Jim did a great job grinding a tree stump on my front lawn. He had to navigate around multiple obstacles to perform the work. He was very responsive from quote stage to completion. I highly recommend Jim!

I called Jim today at 9:45 am today and by noon he had quoted us and completed the job. He left everything clean and did a fantastic job as it was a large stump. Prices were fair and reasonable. Highly Recommend

A tree service removed a sweet gum tree from our yard on 9 Apr 2025. They used Jim's Stump Grinding for removing the stump. Jim did a very good job and was careful to keep the grinder on the ground protection mats. Using a remote controlled stump grinder machine he was able to see exactly where the grinding blade was grinding the stump and following the roots with precision. Wood cuttings where confined to the grinding area and did not scatter all over the yard.

Jim did an excellent job. I called him yesterday, and he showed up a few hours later to give me a reasonable price. He was able to come by the next morning, and knocked it out. I really like the fact that he asked me questions about what my plans were for the area, and he adapted his service to fit what i needed done. True professionalism at its finest. Jim’s Stump Grinding provides outstanding service, along with a respect and concern for the entire area in which the work is done. I was fascinated to watch Jim use his machine to remove the stump, and level the yard where it had been. He then raked the entire area, and blew off the few leaves that had fallen! Jim’s work is A+ from start to finish!!

Jim was extraordinary honest. He provided an estimate on Friday and told me he would be here on Wednesday at noon. Jim arrived precisely at noon. He has also been up to the mountains several times to assist those who lost everything to Helene. You cannot go wrong hiring him to remove tree stumps..If you have trees you need removed we have used Jim’s son A.J. who does an equally great job.

It was great working with Jim. I was extremely pleased with the stump removal of a large bush in front of my house. I appreciated him coming to see the stump prior to the removal as he explained how he would remove it and the importance of making sure there wasn’t any wiring below the area given its location. He was very professional, thorough and quick to respond. I also appreciated how he used a screen to protect the surrounding area from any debris. Overall, I was very pleased and would highly recommend him to others.

Jim was incredible. Based on research, I estimated the cost between 250 and 300. I had a 2 ft stump with exposed roots to address in my front yard. (See picture after Jim finished). His quote and cost was 275. So, right on target with my expected cost.

He also was 5 minutes early for the appointment, sent messages tied to his expected arrival, etc., did an excellent job of clean-up, was VERY professional, and a great pleasure to talk/work with.

Jim did an awesome job with our large Crepe Myrtle stump. He was prompt and got right to work after looking over the tree stump and checking to make sure he wouldn't damage the water line. He used a screen to protect bushes around the tree that we didn't want damaged, raked up the area after the removal and tamped down the area after he completed. You would never know a tree was there! I would recommend Jim to anyone who wants a stump removed!
