Reviews of local pros in Powells Point, North Carolina

We added a new patio at our beach house & it came out great! Reynolds was very easy to work with and easily helped us through some design challenges. His crew were very hard working and meticulous. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Reynolds was easy to work with, very knowledgeable and professional and followed up in a timely manner during the project. His landscaping proposal was organized and easy to understand. He also made some helpful suggestions during the project. His crew led by Will was also very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the project.

The guy that normally shows up is nice

We have been happy with the professional service and clear communication!

Great work but not as good on follow-up when a customer calls with questions following completion of the work.

They were very prompt the day they were scheduled to come and did a nice job mowing and edging the lawn.

Reynolds and his team are very professional and provide excellent service.

Have been very happy working with William on making my lawn healthy. Looking forward to lawn improvement.

The folks at Living Oaks are knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and responsive. I am very happy with their services.

I was going to tear up my yard and start from scratch … and they convinced me they the lawn could be saved. And they did save it - saving me a fortune. Honest and professional. Highly recommend.

Dependable and professional.
We live on a corner where many people walk by daily. Someone most always compliments our beautiful lawn.

Living Oaks is wonderful to work with, and has been servicing all our needs for numerous years. Very professional.

I have used Living Oaks for many years. Their design and attention to detail sets them apart from other lawn and landscaping companies!

We have been very pleased with all of the services on our properties. Our lawns stand out! Wonderful company to interact with.

Reynolds and his team did great job solving our yard drainage issue. Everyone was professional, courteous, and friendly.

They gave us advice on our lawn. Seem like good people to work with. Will follow their advice and work with them in the fall. Update January 2026: Moved before we could utilize their services.

This company is one of the best in the OBX area. I signed up with them after seeing how they maintained other properties in our subdivision. They are very easy to work with and their pricing is in line with everyone else in the area.

I’ve been working w Reynolds and his team for at least 8 years since I bought my home. He developed a landscaping plan which included eco pavers and two garden spots. He’s put in an additional gravel driveway. He has put in a small drip irrigation system and large steps from one area to the driveway. He maintains monthly my yard which includes, spraying , blowing and picking up pine cones. I have watched his business grow. He is always professional and his knowledge of plants that grow best on the island is great. CoVid was extremely challenging for his business due to lack of staff as was it everywhere on the island. He tried hard to maintain the level of service during that time . It appears he has a consistent qualified team now and under his leadership I feel his level of service will only grow.

I own a beach house near the ocean, an area subject to salt sprays and unpredictable weather, making lawn/plants maintenance tricky. After working with a few landscapers who didn't seem to understand the rigors of ocean living, I was guided by a fiend to Living Oaks - a godsend. In a phrase, they "get it" and "know it." The first things renters see is your landscape and we get tons of great feedback on how we have the best grounds around, hands down - no contest. Honestly, there just is no equal - talent, work ethic, know-how and crews are without equal.

His team is very reliable and the quality of work is fabulous. He also provides recommendations to keep the plants and grass healthy and beautiful. We have used his services for almost five years and have recommended him to neighbors.

My yard was a mess and they are doing an excellent job at getting it back in shape. I have found them to be very reliable in getting the applications done right and in a timely manner. The mulch they is the best I've ever had.
