I really appreciated their punctuality and clarity of explanations (without condescension). The resulting report was well documented with photos and explanations. Before finding Mr. Smokestack I tried using another chimney sweep service, which was not transparent and made me feel like they were pulling a fast one on me. Mr. Smokestack was so much more professional. I would definitely use them again.

I've been using Mr. Smokestack since 2016, and have had 2 homes inspected and serviced. Most recently, my in-home tech was Greg and he was phenomenal! From texting and arriving on time, to providing thorough explanations of everything he was seeing-- we really appreciated his professionalism and attention to detail (including using a drop cloth and wearing booties in the house to protect our floors). Looking forward to receiving our full report and getting our fireplace repaired for the upcoming season. Highly recommend.

Had Logan from Mr Smokestack come to inspect and sweep our chimney and also to clean our dryer vent. Logan was very pleasant, did a thorough job, and showed us pictures of what he found in the chimney. Also recommended what needed to be done to make it safe to use. We are considering converting to gas anyway and he explained a little about those options as well. Overall, a good experience!

Greg and Randy were fantastic. They were courteous and professional. And they troubleshooted the problem with my gas fireplace and it's working great now. And my three legged Rescue dog Miracle is very happy to be able to curl up next to the fireplace on a cold day.

We've had Mr. Smokestack out a couple of times now, once for a chimney inspection and cleaning, and once for a chimney crown repair. They're not the cheapest, but it's true we get what we pay for. They provide great communication from the time you book an appointment until the job is done. Their crews are on time and do excellent work.

The folks at Mr. Smokestack were wonderful - professional, prompt, and thorough. After an inspection and sweep, I needed some external work done, including replacing the cap and the chase cover, and replacing most of the trim that was rotted (and provided access for squirrels). Lee and his team, who did the outside work, were fantastic - let me know what was going on, when & why they needed to return the next day, cleaned everything up at the end where one couldn't tell anyone had even been there, and so on. I'm very happy with the work, their expertise, and their friendliness.

After researching reviews, I chose Mr. Smokestack for new gas logs, and they did not disappoint. The salesperson and technicians were professional and prompt. I had a minor issue that was quickly resolved with a return visit with the same guy that installed them. The lead technician, Rodrigo, is a rock star—very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the features and how to use them. He made the experience a positive one!

Franco and his team at Mr. Smokestack were fantastic to work with. They made a complicated project feel easy thanks to clear communication and excellent coordination. They completed our hearth demo, prepped for the upcoming tile work, installed our new fireplace insert, and seamlessly handled coordination with the electrician and the permit process.

I have received consistently great and timely service from PMI technicians. Today, Lane and his assistant showed up exactly at the stated time and completed the repointing project on my chimney within an hour's time as stated. I could continue with my other appointments throughout the day without any issues. They also took pictures of their work to show me exactly what they done. Lane and Chris did an excellent job servicing both of our fireplaces. They were able to diagnose an issue with one fireplace that another company couldn’t figure out, which impressed us. Our gas fireplace was cutting off after about 9 minutes of being turned on and not coming back on. Called Mr. Smokestack after a recommendation from my neighbor.
Made an appointment with their very friendly front desk and Greg came out about a week later.
Greg did all the right things: explained what he was going to do - did it - then told me exactly what the issue was and explained the fix.
We can only hope to have this good of customer service, expertise, and thoroughness in all our home repair experiences.

I got way more than I expected (in a good way) They did a much more thorough cleaning and inspection job than I had anticipated. I got an in depth report the next day…suggestions and estimates to fix issues that I didn’t know we had. Logan and Danny were very pleasant and respectful, not the least bit intrusive…and very knowledgeable. And to top it all off…no mess and left everything like they found out. A super experience with a company so I would highly recommend When you call to schedule Patty is also terrific!

We had a great experience with Mr. Smokestack for two large projects. A year ago, because of a leak, we had our chimney sealed and repaired on the outside including repointing and a new cap. They did a great job and have followed up recently to make sure the chimney was OK. Most recently, we had a new fireplace insert installed to replace our old and outdated fireplace. We got to choose exactly what we wanted while working with Andrew, who was great to work with. Chris and Lee did the installation and we absolutely love the new fireplace. They were very respectful and cleaned up beautifully. Chris let me know exactly how everything works which was super easy. The quality of the Valor fireplace insert, logs and flames are just beautiful. Our original install date was a week from now but they got us in earlier just in time for the holidays. This is such a great company to work with in every way!

Greg and Chris were excellent. My fireplace never looked so clean and glowing. I was amazed that it looked so good. It truly looks like a new fireplace. The dynamic duo (Greg and Chris) explained the entire process after the cleaning.
