We first learned about ICG Homes through our Realtor, and we were drawn to their work after touring a home they had built. We wanted to replicate that home with some minor adjustments. Our experience with ICG was a full-scale process, from selecting an excellent lot and floor plan to modifying the design and making custom selections. The team was incredibly easy to work with – We thoroughly enjoyed working with Don and we appreciated the engagement and attentiveness of our site supervisor, Mark. They did a fantastic job addressing our questions and ensuring that our home was built to our expectations, and they were very accommodating when it came to floor plan modifications, providing accurate quotes, and guidance throughout the process. We are very satisfied with the construction quality of our home. While there were a few minor glitches during the design and selection process, Mark was always willing to work with us to make any necessary adjustments. Overall, we had a great experience with ICG and would absolutely recommend them to other homebuyers. We would even build with them again in the future!

We were drawn to the Montvale neighborhood during the Parade of Homes and learned that ICG was one of the builders there. This was during COVID. Most, if not all, other builders were putting up spec homes and commanding premium, over-asking selling prices. ICG was the only builder in Montvale that allowed us to build a fully custom home, giving us complete control over every layout, design, and appointment detail. We experienced the full home construction process with ICG, from lot selection through post-sale warranty punch list completion, finding everyone, from owner Ryan to our home layout creator and interior design specialist, great to work with. Especially noteworthy was our construction foreman, Phil, who was immensely helpful throughout the entire process. The ICG team was intent on making sure we were happy with the final product, and we are delighted! We were able to build something even better than we had hoped for in our new home, including some truly custom touches that make our house unique and a true reflection of us.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this home builder. From start to finish, the process was poorly managed and frustrating. Communication was inconsistent at best—calls and emails often went unanswered, and when responses did come, they were vague or contradictory.

The quality of work was far below what was promised. We noticed multiple issues during and after construction, including sloppy finishes, rushed workmanship, and materials that did not match what was agreed upon. Many problems had to be pointed out repeatedly before they were even acknowledged, and some were never properly fixed at all.

Timelines were missed with little explanation, and excuses were common. It felt like once the contract was signed, customer service became an afterthought. For such a major investment, I expected professionalism, accountability, and pride in their work—none of which were delivered.

I would not recommend this builder to anyone looking for a reliable or stress-free home-building experience.

My wife and I first discovered ICG Homes after visiting friends who had just moved into the new Serenity community in Fuquay-Varina. We fell in love with the neighborhood and knew we wanted to make it our home as well. We spoke with several builders in the community to compare what they offered, but no one came close to the quality, options, and overall value that ICG provided. Choosing ICG to build our dream home was an easy decision.

We worked with Mike and Mark to choose the best lot to fit our needs. The variety of custom homes that ICG offered was more than we expected, and Mike provided us with the information we needed to understand the differences of each one and the options that were available. Once we decided on the options, we worked with Stacey to totally customize our new house. She was very patient with us, making sure the choices we made fit our vision. We trusted Stacey's opinion and the finished product was amazing. Mark was always there to address any concerns we had during the build process and was more than accommodating for any issues we found or modifications we wanted. Every person we encountered at ICG was amazing and the biggest surprise we encountered was the amount of custom options that were already included in our budget for the house. Even neighbors who chose other builders have commented on the workmanship and features ICG provides, and many have said they wish they had chosen ICG as well.

The ICG team made a normally stressful situation into a pleasant experience, and we would do it all over again with them! We absolutely love our new home.

We relocated from Pennsylvania and were looking at homes in the Sanctuary at Lake Wheeler neighborhood. The house we eventually bought was already under construction when we first looked at it. The design and layout were exactly what we wanted, and the moment we walked in it felt like home. It was everything we were looking for at a reasonable price, so choosing ICG was an easy decision.
