Nature First is professional, punctual, and gets the job done. They do only what you ask and charge you only for what they have done. This is the best lawn service in Raleigh. Give them a call, first, when you need lawn care and landscaping.

We were very impressed with the work done by Nature First. It was our first experience with them. The mulch was carefully laid and there was plenty to cover all spaces generously. They trimmed our shrubs front, back and sides of the house to our liking and they were very pleasant when we asked them to do something more or different to certain areas. Ike was the supervisor and he had a very professional attitude. He was here to please. Sarah (General Manager) also showed up and helped the entire day, as did the COO. Apparently, one of their crew was unavailable due to illness so it was all hands on deck. That's incredible commitment. They could have easily cancelled the scheduled service but did not.

This is a relatively new company that has had some issues getting organized. The staff is very nice and the owner is responsive.
We signed a yearly contract last September but they did not meet what the contract said they would do and they did not show up as promised, which was weekly. (Except in winter months) This spring after some staffing changes, the owner decided do away with contracts and to limit the services they offer to either mowing only or full service, with other services a la carte. We were not able to get what we wanted with this scenario, so we decided to check other services. In the meantime, we still found the NF team inconsistent in when they mowed, which was blamed on rain. Consequently, the longer grass created issues with clippings left in the turf and in our flower/ shrub beds, creating weed issues. (Note: previous yard services we have used in other places would often mow on Saturday if several work days were missed during the week due to rain, especially in peak growing season). We found the inconsistency unsatisfactory so we discontinued using Nature First. While we paid for services through May, we never got the last mowing.
I hope the company is able to improve and do well.

Nature’s First did an incredible job updating my house. They trimmed bushes and trees, cleared all of the clutter, mulched, pulled out old bushes and trees, and really cleaned up my yard. They even found an underground yellow jacket nest that has been bothering us. A++ for the help and highly recommend.

Just get on the Serenity plan. My yard is beautiful, the service is professional, and the subscription is worth every penny. I never have to think about it! Best landscapers I've worked with in this region.

I would not recommend this landscaping company. The quality of work was very disappointing and did not match what was promised. The crew showed up late (when they showed up at all) and often left the job unfinished. Communication was extremely poor — phone calls and messages went unanswered, and when I did get a response, it was vague and unhelpful.

On top of that, the work that was completed was sloppy: plants were not installed properly, the edging was uneven, and the cleanup was careless, leaving my yard looking worse than before. For the price I paid, I expected professionalism and attention to detail, but unfortunately I received neither.

Save yourself the frustration and look for a company that takes pride in their work and respects their customers’ time.

We had them come out and clean up all the leaves and a pile of dirt or backyard and they did it so quickly and it looks amazing! They were also able to get us on the schedule quickly

I contacted Nature’s First to core aerate and seed my yard. I had an appointment scheduled and they didn’t come and do the job. I never received an email, phone call or text letting me know why they didn’t show up. Once I was able to reach them, they told me the crew came out and didn’t do the job because the yard needed to be mowed. I absolutely disagree that the grass was too long, but I told them I would mow it and they agreed to come out the next day. When they came out, they did a terrible rushed job. There are complete areas of my yard that weren’t aerated and I had bare areas that I explained would need extra seed and they assured me they would do that. Some of the bare areas had NO seed. I contacted them and they said they would send crew back out. They did and when I came home, there are still areas that have ZERO seeds spread. I totally regret using Nature’s first, and would absolutely not recommend them.

Nature First saved me yesterday, my house and driveway is in the shade and I have been iced in for a week and now the next storm is due in this weekend, I called around and finally found someone who could come out same day, Nature First ! Taylor was great, very kind and service oriented, he spread the ice melt professionally and it is working, I will be able to get more groceries now before this next storm hits.

The Nature First team did a thorough and efficient clearing of leaves, going into the densest shrubs and wooded areas to remove the leaf cover, but not disturbing the mulch underneath. Then the leaves were carefully collected on tarps and hauled away. Impressive!
