Called Six and Fix for a repair of my old system. They came out quickly told me I could repair or replace my system at comparable prices. I decided to replace. They said they could a new system installed by the end of the next week.
After the installation I looked over the work. A new unit was installed but not a new plenums as listed in the install scope they gave me. Also machine was out of level and overall quality of work was poor. It took them 4 months to come out and finish the work they said they would do. I withheld full payment until then. Would not recommend for new system installs. And knowing what I know now should have gotten a second opinion. -
Getting 2 hvac systems and duct replaced company was very difficult to work with. Greg never returned phone calls or texts. Work was done incorrectly and getting it fixed was next to impossible. As a general contractor myself all I can recommend is to not give them any money until you are satisfied. I’m not sure they would’ve fixed the issues if I had already paid them. 30k + job

My mother had a brand new $17000 Daikin system installed & less than 6 months later she had to call them to fix her a/c because it went out. Since the install less than 2 years ago she has had to have them come out over 4 times for the SAME piece that they say “keeps breaking”. If it was installed correctly the first, or even the second time, why does it keep breaking and she has had to PAY them to come out EACH time.
Save your money!! Do NOT let them install the Daikin system in your home!! It seems fancy, but they do NOT know what they are doing with it & she has had to suffer.
-signed currently sitting in her HOT house on a 90 degree day after it’s been out for going on 5 days now, waiting for “a piece (the same piece that keeps breaking) to be ordered& delivered” -
Had a client start some simple work on an old restaurant space for a popular donut shop in the Triangle. Contract is dated on May, we were promised that the client would be open after JULY 4TH. Here we are late October and nothing. Stopped all communications and no longer picks up the phone or responds to texts! Do not use these folks no matter what you do!

I am so sorry to say that we have had a horrible experience this time. We have been customers for almost 40 years with absolutely no problems until now. In January we purchased two new systems($30,000). We have had nothing but problems since, including having no air conditioning down stairs for 10 weeks this summer! At first, we were being charged $117 for service calls! I understand all about having to order parts. What I don’t understand is being told constantly and I mean constantly that someone will call or someone will come or you’re on the schedule and those things never being true. I always had to call them several times to finally get anything done. We rarely got angry with anyone(maybe that was our problem) We are LONGTIME customers that have always paid our bills immediately. I really have never felt as disrespected as I do now by a company that I have always had a great relationship with and have always given excellent reviews.

Horrible Horrible service. Nick is apparently the only one that can do anything around here, except he doesn't. The other staff members try to be helpful but cannot make things happen so this review is not a reflection of them. I was charged for a service, the plumber went out, told my tenant they would be back because they did not bring the essential tools (problem number 1) (also failed to notify me or the owner that the service was not completed problem number 2) I had to find out from the tenant that the work was not done. (Keep in mind, WE HAVE ALREADY PAID) Now I cannot seem to get ahold of Nick despite repeated calls and staff requesting he call me back. An absolute scam of a company. Do not be fooled by their pricing. They need to offer decent prices in order to get clientele because they cannot keep a customer with crappy work. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Whoever owns this company seriously needs to reconsider their staffing. There is apparently no one over Nick but when your HIGHEST PERSON IS NOT DOING THEIR JOB...that is an absolute joke.

They used to be great, but it appears they've either sold to a new management company, or done some corporate "restructuring" nonsense. I used to be able to call directly to the Raleigh office off Glenwood, and always spoke to the same gentleman. He was always extremely pleasant and efficient. Wish I remembered his name!
Now when you call it goes to a corporate call center with rude, unhelpful people. I called several days ago and spent over 10 minutes getting an "appointment set up" for a routine maintenance. By the way, Six and Fix *used to* call me and schedule these without me even needing to think about it. I realized it had been a long time since I'd seen anyone around and decided I'd better call myself.
Well, the uninterested guy on the line spent ages apparently collecting my information (even though I've been a customer for literal years) and typing a lot of it down incorrectly along the way. At the end he simply said "someone will call you back to schedule an appointment" and hung up. Huh? I thought that's what I was doing right now? I waited a few days anyways, trusting the process but no one ever called.
So I just called back and got an uninterested and unhelpful woman on the line this time. She spent a while taking down the same information that I already gave last time (and presumably still had on file at the actual Glenwood location, not wherever this call center was) and then informed me that the closest availability that they had was November 26th, over a month away. Huh? In the past dozen routine maintenance visits I've had with them it was never more than a few days to get someone out. So, what? They've just fired all their employees? Cutting costs so that the C-suites can make a bigger bonus this year?
I hate to say it, but Six and Fix is trash now. They used to be amazing. And as of a year ago, I would have given them 5 stars. But now, they've changed - undoubtedly some executive nonsense to make bigger profits for themselves at the expense of everyone else. It's a shame; just another example of the decline of quality in the pursuit of greed. -
We have used this company for HVAC maintenance for several years, and the experience has been consistently frustrating. Nearly every single visit they show up with the wrong air filters—despite having serviced our system before and having our information on file. Each time we’re promised they’ll return with the correct filters, and that never happens.
Most recently, we had a simple thermostat issue that only required replacing a fuse, yet they charged us over $400. They had no problem taking our money immediately, but days later we still have not received an invoice, despite multiple follow-up calls. This behavior is completely unacceptable and feels intentionally deceptive. We will absolutely not be using this company again and strongly caution others against doing so
