When I got home from work today I discovered the indoor downstairs temperature was 65° and dropping. With a forecast in the 20's tonight I quickly called Custom Air hoping to get on schedule for tomorrow. Adam answered the call and was at our house 20 minutes later. He even went back to the shop, returned, and installed a part. My husband and I are so grateful for this evening and for every time Custom Air has been there over the last 20+ years to keep us comfortable whatever the outside temperature is!

The guys that work here are second to none. I won't allow anyone else to work on my heating and needs, but them. The pricing is more than fair for the great responsiveness and quality of work. Adam diagnosed a problem with my ac running while my heat strips where fired up. He went all the way into Raleigh to get a circuit board to fix my issue the same day. I also had their crew redo my upstairs and downstairs units at my old house and the cost was lower than anyone else. By far the best place in Raleigh and surrounding areas for all your heating and air need. Thanks again

For years we have yearly contract with them which includes summer and winter system check and basic maintenance. The technician Parker is very courteous and professional.

Fantastic service from Custom Air and technician Ean Karpinski. Air-conditioning was completely out, calling at 9 AM and then responding at 11 AM. Ean as the experience and the issue resolved in minimal time. Thanks so much.

Extremely good experience today with Sam from Custom Air Conditioning. Enough to motivate me to write this review and I never usually bother to write them!

Called in at 4pm on Monday with an A/C zone that had stopped cooling suddenly. Got a very helpful person on the phone taking details and telling me they'd send a tech the next day, and a no-pressure preventative maintenance option on email.

Got phone call at 8 on Tuesday, told that technician would arrive about 1-2pm. Got text at 12 saying Sam was on his way, then he arrived 45 mins later.

He told me on arrival that sudden failure is likely a good thing. He walked upstairs, turned the thermostat to cool, watched the light in my ceiling (!!) to see it flicker, and then said it was likely a capacitor failure. Told me to ignore all the A/C inside, went back outside, walked up to the unit, unscrewed panel, removed capacitor, explained clearly how it failed, showed it to me, replaced it within 5 minutes, did a refrigerant check, and had a good chat to me about what else to think about on the systems and maintenance.

I felt like I met some kind of A/C guru, was really well looked after, and it was all fixed and done in 20 minutes for $200. I was quite frankly shocked at such a smart and friendly and communicative technician.

We were down from nearly 90F to 70F in an hour or so, and I have good info on what to do next. I could not recommend more highly.

Our A/C went out during hot day in August. Our regular HVAC company could not get to us for 2-3 days, which in 90+ temperatures was not good... Called Custom Air Conditioning and they had someone out there the same day. Adam was our service technician, arrived even earlier than promised, quickly diagnosed the issue and returned the next day with the needed part to repair the system. Adam was great, courteous, punctual and was right on with his diagnosis of the problem and estimate for the repair. He had the system up and running as promised. Very happy with the experience overall, I will be using these guys from now on for my HVAC needs.

10/10, would recommend! Custom Air Conditioning was able to help solve my problem quickly and professionally. Richard discovered that the part I needed was under warranty even when another company said it wasn't. Saved me $1,000! And thanks to Adam, my A/C was back up after only an hour's worth of work. Highly satisfied!

Our AC went out in the hottest week of the year. I called Custom Air Conditioning when they opened and Adam was able to come first thing in the morning. He arrived on time (only about an hour after I called!). He was fast and thorough. He replaced our capacitor under warranty and was done in less than half an hour! The house is cooling! Great service.
