We called because we have a crack in our shower floor and Zoom Drain advertises shower repair. My husband called, explained the problem we had, and was told it was $89 to have it assessed. We paid to have it checked out, only to be told it doesn't seem like a major repair but that this company couldn't fix it. Ethan did a great job of explaining the potential issues and completing the assessment. It's just unfortunate that it's advertised as a company that repairs showers and when we called and explained the problem, weren't told that type of problem couldn't be fixed. Now we need to look elsewhere to have the actual problem fixed after paying a company that we thought could fix it.
My well is over 20 years old, and problems have started to surface now. They did a great job replacing the broken parts. The technician explained in detail the pump's functionality and the different options to repair it. I got an appointment and had a technician on the ground in less than 12 hours. I absolutely recommend Zoom Drain Smithfield for your well maintenance and repairs.
I was first scheduled to get plumbing work done with Jason Hogg with Zoom Drain. I had explained to the office staff when I called for the appointment that I forgot to disconnect my outside hose, causing a leak in the spigot due to freezing temps, a recent ice storm and snow storm. The next morning Jason came to my home, looked at the spigot, looked at the hot water heater compartment under the stairs, and under my bathroom sink, then looked his truck and said he didn't have the proper equipment for the job in his truck, and said he'd return the next morning. I was quoted a set price for the job. I have no idea whether that quote was reasonable or not, as it didn't differentiate between cost for materials versus labor. Austin Mazin was the plumber who returned the next day. The plumbing work done by Austin Mazin with Zoom Drain was completed very well and in less than a half hour. He was very professional, and he replaced it with a no-frost spigot and bib.
Jason critiqued the work of previous plumbers, criticizing everything. Maybe true, maybe not. But I paid $95 for his opinions (not $89 as the appointment operator had said) and Jason did nothing to help remove the clog. Cost to fix? $10,000!!!! My real plumber fixed it two days later for $350. DO NOT USE this service.
Ethan came out displaying verbally and physically, the knowledge of a technician that I was hoping for ! He expertise in his job, made his stay somewhat brief. My expectations were meant completely. He explained what was wrong, and what he needed to do to correct the problem. He replaced the cartridge in my bathtub faucet.
Nathan has been great. He has had to come a couple of times now and has been so pleasant and easy to work with. He explains things Scheduling has great too. I've been able to receive service promptly.
