Very good work at a very good price. 100% recommend!

This is a terrible company to work with I hired them to cut my tree down they took my money and they did not finish the job I have half a tree left in my yard and they left all the brush and they left all the logs. I was at work and they told my son they would be back at 8 o’clock in the morning and never showed up and when I called them they said they don’t know when they can make it and they broke their chainsaw on my trunk of my tree and said because they broke it on my trunk of my tree they could charge me. These people were in a hurry And Left stuff all in my yard I would not recommend them to anybody they are rude unreliable and the quality sucks

Well they pulled up in a truck loaded with limbs. We were putting the brush by the road and they were supposed to take the wood. I don’t know how they would have carried it off! We were going to do 4 trees total, but just decided on 2 after watching them work. The climber gets in the tree and is throwing up everywhere and acts like he’s on something. He said it’s heat exhaustion. They could barely get anything done! My husband went out to help because he was afraid of someone getting hurt!! I would be very cautious.

Hired this company on 1/16/2020 to cut down 3 trees. Finished and paid for one tree by check and they returned to finish the 2nd and 3rd on 1/20/2020. Told me they were licensed and insured. Paid for the 2nd tree that morning by check as well. That afternoon, after they returned from lunch, while removing the last tree a very large limb fell on the house, damaging roof, gutter and fence and other minor things. They left after stating they didn’t see any roof damage, and said they would return in the morning with the owner and insurance information. Returned next morning, but without owner or insurance, stating owner was on his way. I told them to not do anything until owner arrived, never came. I showed them pictures of the damage to the roof. They left and never returned. I called 6 times with no answer. Finally spoke with owner on 1/27 and he claimed he didn't know me and had no recollection of the job. I explained that my bank had cleared both checks on the 21st and 22nd with his signature. He said he had ever seen the checks and denied that he had cashed the checks and said he is no longer in business. His tree removal crew was being supervised by his son.
Do not hire this company! Not punctual, Did not clean up any debris. Not sure if they are licensed still or have insurance against damages. Beware.

They had done okay tree work for me before, but the son came back through for some leaf removal. After trying to charge me an outrageous amount, he gave my wife a much lower number and we agreed. He didn't have a rake or bags to get the leaves up with. Asked for the check before the job was done and said he would be back after some lunch. After about 2 hours he says he had an emergency he'll be back tomorrow. He never showed up. Called the Dad, Bobby, he said he would come the next day. Of course hasn't shown up and they cashed the check already! The son said he got his truck impounded and some other far fetched stories! Beware. Would not hire.

Got it done in no time and no accidents.

Everyone that came out to help was very nice, courteous and professional. Did the job in a timely manner and took pride in it. Highly recommend, would hire again!

The crew took out 6 trees at my property today, including several dead pines. Great work, professional, and safe. I'd definitely recommend them for any tree needs.

These guys were great! They took down 5 really really tall pine trees and a couple of huge elm branches that snapped during a storm. They worked really well as a team and did a super job! We will definitely use them again in the future and highly recommend. Thank you.

Neighbors used them for a insurance claim from a tree that fell on their property from mine, I asked in advance for them to give me the contact info of who they chose to see about getting 4 more trees removed but after they left the stump on my property after removing 80% the fallen tree (neighbor stated he was under the impression they would remove all of the tree) they did offer to remove the remainder of it for an additional fee on top of what they charged my neighbors. I will not be using/recommending, only left two stars since I personally did not interact in this transaction.

They did a great job and very timely. Cut down 3 trees and had to be very strategic where they would fall. Excellent. I was very impressed. They came back the next day and removed everything. Great price and very nice people. As seniors we are very appreciative of the excellent price and service. I can't say enough about how happy we are.

SCAM ALERT

Around 11/20/2019, we have hired King James Tree Company to remove 21 trees from our backyard property. The property is in a neighborhood and the approximately 1/3 total acres. The proceeded to cut down the trees but when they were removing the fallen trees, they used a bobcat to move the trees from the backyard to their trailer. The entire process took 4 days and during the process, they caused severe damage to the backyard. They said they would come back and smooth out the bobcat tracks and cover with hay. After several attempts to get King James to schedule a day to come back, they just ignore us. Although this has been an unusually rainy season, I have given them dates when the weather was clear for 3 straight days or more, but they would either make some excuse why they wouldn't come or outright ignore our text messages and phone calls. Now we have a destroyed muddy backyard in which our dogs have been tracking in orange mud, which results in constant cleaning of our flooring and continuous bathing of our dogs.

We filed a small claims suit against King James Tree Company, and the judge contacted me on 2/28/2020 stating that when the sheriff department went to serve the summons, the address they have listed was actually an abandoned house. BEWARE OF KING JAMES TREE COMPANY!!!

I have used King James, owned by Chris, three times in the last 2-years. They are professional, friendly, punctual, competitively priced, and thorough. Highly recommended. I know who to call when a tree falls down or needs to be removed.

We used King James Tree Company three times in the last couple years-twice to remove a lot of big trees in our back yard and most recently to rescue our cat from a tree 40 feet up. We called them around 6 pm on a very cold weeknight. They were coming back from a job near Salisbury. Even though it was after hours they came to our house in Trinity at night to get our cat out of the tree he had been stuck in all day. The cat was terrified but the tree climber was so calm and professional that he was easily able to get our cat out of the tree. I was very impressed with them. We had called other places but no one would come. We are very thankful to King James Tree Co.

Chad and Chris are professional arborist with plenty of experience in the field. They have done several jobs on my property and always did clean work. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a fair price and good tree work.

Guys stopped in the neighborhood to see if we had any trees that we wanted trimmed and/or removed. We had a few dead/ dying evergreens that we needed removed. The crew did a great job— fast, efficient, and cleaned up. Great pricing. Will hire again.

Wildly illegal

First the guy isn't properly insured.

Second. He entered a private neighborhood marked with no solicitation. Entered my yard walked right by my no solicitation sign, that was right after trampling THROUGH my garden. And left his information on my door with none of the required business information on it.

He's not a lawful business.

Then his truck. Loud, Modified, pavement princess. Which means when he has to go offload he's going to tear up your lawn when he gets stuck. Which will be often.

Do yourself and your neighbors a huge favor and don't get wrapped up with this guy
