We hired New South to install landscape edging in our yard. Kevin was very personable, a good communicator, and understood the job. His crew worked hard, they were neat, and completed the job quickly. The result was very attractive. Kevin was very responsive and promptly addressed the punch list items.

The install team did a great job installing a paver patio with a seat wall, lighting and backyard landscaping. They were flexible to any changes I requested. The lawn maintenance team seems to really care about their work. The year round maintenance is super easy with their company. They are much more responsive than other companies I have used. If there were 10 stars, I would give this company a 10. I was amazed at the work they did. Our yard was a pile of rocks and weeds when they finished I had the nicest yard in the neighborhood. They didn't mind stopping and answering questions and when they left, they cleaned up so well you wouldn't have known they had been there. I can not say enough about the kindness , honesty, and professionalism I received from New South Landscaping. Not only did they beat everyone's prices they actually came and did the estimate right away! No waiting around for weeks for an estimate. They got me on the schedule shortly after and the work was done in a day. We had a bunch of trees taken down and the yard was a mess. They graded, prepped, and sodded the entire yard. And even did the side yard and part of the front! They went above and beyond and the crew was amazing. I would never use anyone else again. The yard looks incredible and we couldn't be happier. No need to call anyone else these are your guys! I called probably 10 places in Raleigh. Their expertise saved me thousands of dollars! Don't get worked over call these guys first! I included before and after shots.

Keven and his crew were awesome. I had drainage problems in my back yard and wanted a retaining wall installed. The crew did an amazing job that exceeded my expectations. No more drainage issues and the wall looks fantastic. I have difficulty getting grass to grow because of shade so Kevin's crew expanded the natural area with pine straw which alleviates the grass growing issue and also looks great. They replaced a rotted out railroad tie at my back yard gate with retaining wall and stone which made a big difference in the look and function. The crew also planted some gardenia bushes along my deck and the whole thing just came together well. Kevin's thoughtful design and my desires lined up well and most importantly my wife is very happy with how it turned out!

We just bought our first home and the previous owners did the whole no scaping and replaced the grass with rocks. We called Kevin and his team and had a wonderful experience. Kevin is very knowledgeable and very patient with my wife and I’s questions. We booked Kevin on a Wednesday and he was out there the day after Labor Day and his crew knocked it out and looks amazing. Summer 2023 :

New South Landscaping constructed a small hardscape behind our home. The work included a paver patio, retaining wall, seating wall, and low voltage floor lighting. Kevin and Andrew Weeks, the principals at New South, were easy to work with, and were able to translate my somewhat vague wish list into a very nice design that fit our budget for the project.

The estimate for the job was clear and detailed, making it easy to see what was driving the cost. I obtained several estimates for this project, and New South's pricing fell right in the middle of those, being neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive. New Souths proposal won out because it most closely matched what I had in mind for the patio while staying within our project budget. Also, my wife and I had an opportunity to see in person a similar project which New South had completed earlier this year. We were impressed with the quality of the work, and that homeowner gave us a glowing in person review of New South as well.

I had New South draw up a professional design for the project, one which would meet the requirements of our HOA for getting changes approved. This service costs a bit extra, but I have found in the past that professionally prepared project specifications and drawings significantly speed up the process of dealing with HOA review committees. It worked that way once again, as I submitted my request on a Thursday evening and I got an approval response from the HOA the next afternoon. It took New South a week to get the materials, and they scheduled our construction about 10 days later.

The construction process took 2.5 days and wasn't too disruptive for either us or our neighbors, beyond the expected noise from front loaders, graders, and stone saws. The finished patio looks great and is a perfect match for what we had in mind. Our neighbors in the houses on either side of ours, and some farther out have given our patio raves as well.

Spring 2024

We brought New South back to install some edging stones around the landscaping in front of our house and a small paver pad on which to place a storage shed for our trash and recycling cans. NSL did a great job creating a design to meet out requirements, provided a competitive estimate, and completed the quickly and competently- another one day job.

Spring 2025

We wanted a paver walkway between the driveway in front and the trash can storage shed at the side of the house. It was harder to get our HOA to approve the walkway than it was to get it designed, scheduled, and installed by New South Landscaping.
I am really glad to have found New South, since they don't shy away from these small jobs we keep coming up with.

We love New South Landscaping! They gave us a magical terraced oasis in our previous backyard so when we moved a new patio was the first on our list. Kevin, Andrew, Gomez and the rest of the team are professional and fantastic to work with. When they are working on a project you feel like you are the only client/project that matters. Now that our new patio is in place, they'll be laying sod + grading and then I'll have to come up with some more projects for them to do. :) If you are looking to up-level your outdoor space - you are doing it wrong if you don't call these guys. They are the best.

We contracted New South Landscaping to build a new patio. From start to finish, we were very happy with the work they did. Before starting work, they ensured we were all aligned to the scope of the project and worked with us to address any outstanding questions. Once work commenced, the crew continued work on the patio until build completion. Therefore, we did not have periods of broken up work effort, where the project site was idle. Fortunately, weather was not a factor for us either. The New South team was very attentive and checked with us daily to walk through the project progress. Despite moving literally tons of material, their coordination and deliveries from their suppliers and the team's presence did not pose any inconvenience to our day-to-day activities. Communication from Kevin and Andrew was outstanding. I am not aware of the other services New South delivers. However, when it comes to hardscapes and the work similar to what we had done, I would absolutely recommend using New South Landscaping. They are a professional group, they deliver quality work, they show up when they say they will and are consistent with their communication.

We are new customers of New South Landscaping and couldn't be happier with the services. We have had previous companies handle our lawn care, but we are so happy to have found Kevin and his team. We had New South do a good sized back yard project at our home in north Raleigh including a large patio, sitting wall, pergola, and general landscaping of plants/mulch. Andrew and the team did a great job from the design of the project through to completion. One thing I really appreciate about New South is Andrew was on site consistently and worked with us the entire way through on any minor items that came up during the work. They did an excellent job and I highly recommend them and will definitely work with them again in the future as we have more landscaping projects come up!
