Everyone PLEASE BEWARE of this company. Dina Hae Shin and Young Shin took a deposit from me in December and never started the work. It was fraud from the beginning. I have not been refunded my deposit yet despite multiple attempts to reach them. I am currently in the process of filing charges in Virginia and Maryland.

If you have been defrauded by this company please contact the state of Maryland, MHIC, and/or Virginia. They are aware and are launching an investigation.

Preston came out to give us a quote on a long list of renovation projects. After 2 weeks I reached out to him. No response. After another 2 weeks I texted again. Again no response. I see all the good reviews but unfortunately didn’t get the same level of service. Maybe the job was too big. So, the search continues for a trustworthy and reliable home renovation contractor...

Preston and his crew did a great job. They work really hard to make sure you are satisfied with the end results. We would definitely use them for future projects.

My wife and I recently had a bathroom project completed by Solid Foundation. Preston Harris and his team are highly professional, do great work, and are very clean. The process was very smooth from the beginning. They finished on time and on budget without a problem and they addressed any concerns we had promptly and without question. I've known Preston personally for years now, and consider him a great guy. This is the first time I've gotten to work with him professionally. I was in a bind and needed a roof replacement pronto, and not only was he able to help, his crew came out 3 days early. started during the weekend, and finished in two days. Prompt service and a competitive price.

Preston and his team at Solid Foundation Construction were great to work with. They did an exterior renovation for us including replacing siding, replacing front porch columns, replacing gutters, and full exterior painting. Solid Foundation Construction completed the project exactly as planned and Preston ensured all work was performed to our satisfaction along the way. Great experience working with Preston and Oscola. Amazing service and always willing to help and guide through the renovation process of our primary suite. They brought great vendors and subcontractors to the project and made it all easy. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

We hired Solid Foundation to do a very large repair project on our house, after a tree fell on it during hurricane Michael. They also put a bathroom addition on the house.

In general, the quality of the work was excellent. We did have a leak in the new roof at first, but they resolved the issue. It has been over a year since the project was completed, and there have been no further leaks. The structure is sound. They blended the brick work in the foundation well, between the existing house and the addition. The gutters are still working without maintenance. The tile work they did our old bathroom looks very good, and continues to function well. The plumbing, electrical and mechanical work is of high quality. They refinished all the hardwood floors in the house, and they also look good and remain functional to this day.

In total, the project took a lot longer than we expected. We often had to take the initiative in reaching out, in times where no work was done for a few weeks. Preston was responsive and prompt when we brought this to his attention. He was also good about working with us on changes during the course of the project. For instance, he was flexible at working around our schedule when we opted to save some money by doing the painting ourselves.

We had 4 contractors quote to do this job, and Preston's price was right in the middle. The final price didn't change much from the initial estimate.

We would do business with Solid Foundation again.

Solid Foundation Construction has completed 2 separate jobs for us. One job was to cover our existing deck. Preston arrived as scheduled for the estimate. We received a written quote and contract. The job started on time. His workman were timely, courteous and left no mess. We were so pleased with this job that we hired them again to complete a remodel of our master bath. The workman were timely and neat as possible. The crew protected the existing flooring. Each step was completed with professionalism. Preston conducted periodic inspections on the work and progress. He also stayed in touch with us through the entire process. I have recommended this company many times and plan on having them back for more projects!!

Preston was recommended by our buyers agent to address some issues on a home we were buying. He and his staff were responsive and provided a detailed quote. They were great to work with as I added additional little projects along the way. The work performed met my expectations. If I ever need to remodel of have a major project Solid Foundation will be my first call.

Mike is very experienced and knowledgeable and will help you with whatever you’re looking to do! He remodeled the kitchen in our condo. He was quick and did a great job!

Preston & Oscola renovated most of our 1970s ranch making it a great home for us. Their attention to detail & willingness to work with our vision & special requests have helped transform this house into a home we’ll enjoy for years to come. We highly recommend Solid Foundation Construction!
