Great value. Travis was on time and him and his crew cleaned up everything when they were done. Highly recommend!

this is not a fictional review. I hired you on June of 2014 and you conspired with the neighbor to cut the wrong branch (and I am talking about a huge branch of a maple tree). When I asked you why you did that you answered simply that Jennifer told you to do that. I said but I am the one who is going to pay you and the tree is my tee. Actually I could have sued you if I wanted to cause you more trouble. You were lucky that I am not that kind of person who like to cause trouble. If you look through your check book you will find that I paid you $500.00 for cutting the wrong branch and made the tree off balance that now it might need to be cut again.

Very satisfied with the completed job. Courteous, communicated with me in a timely manner, showed up when they were scheduled to arrive. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend to others.

Hands down the best tree service! One Maple and six Oak trees removed and honestly you can’t even tell a crew was at my house! I will always recommend Kustom Trim 😀

this company was great to deal with. they showed up on time, and took to very large trees out in a very short amount of time. the other great thing is they cleaned up after grinding the stumps. my back yard was as clean as it was before they started.

Today, November 7, 2022, this tree service( hired by Ed M.) came to cut two pin oaks located on my property. This is not the time of year to cut pin oaks due to oak wilt in the area. They never answered the phone call of returned the message. Any true tree professional knows the proper prune time for a pin (red) oak. If the tree dies, or causes other oaks in the area to die, I will be holding them financially responsible to the removal of the dead trees on my property and for same-size replacements and the cost of watering them.

Professional, affordable, and fast responding time. I had a tree limb enter my master bedroom through the roof and lots of tree debree in my yard after a severe storm. I called several tree removal services and this was the only one to answer my call on a Saturday. Travis, owner, came out within the hour. All tree debree was removed from my yard early the next morning. I was very impressed and will use in the future for all my tree service needs.

This company goes above and beyond what is expected of the. We have used them twice now and I honestly would never use any other company. So far they have removed two very large willow trees. They ground out the stumps, removed the chippings, put top soil down and seeded grass. All work was done in a timely friendly and professional manner. The second time I needed one maple removed and two thinned out. Same as before, stump grinding and the clippings removed and grass seeded. Not only did the do what was agreed but also put top soil and grass seed in some sparse areas in the lawn. Anyone considering any tree work should look no further!

I had a very large tree between three houses. They came and removed the tree taking it over top of me home. They did a great job and clean up was excellent, they even used a vacuum to get the saw dust up. Much more then I expected. I would use them again.

We had a tree fall over, actually uprooted from the ground. Called Travis to come out and look at it. Gave me an estimate and the next day we had a crew working on the tree. We wanted the wood saved for a neighbor and that was no problem for the crew. They neatly stacked the wood, trimmed and grinded the little stuff and great clean up. We have used them in the past and that's why we called them again. Professional, efficient, on time.

These are only the facts. Make of them what you will.
Paid $4,400 for removal of a large silver maple and the stump--a few feet away from our garage door. Invoice was paid in full before the work was done, because that was more convenient for me.
A large pile of wood chips was left in the driveway blocking where we park. Crew came back out the next morning and removed the wood chips. I received a bill for $75 for removal of the wood chips.
We don't park in the garage because it needs a lot of work, but the one thing that wasn't broken on the garage was the garage door. Before the tree was removed, we could open the garage door, but after the tree was removed we couldn't. Something hit the garage door, too high up to have been a car, and broke the hinges so that it can't be opened anymore. We didn't realize this until a couple weeks after the fact because, again, we don't park in the garage--we noticed when we had our contractor out for a second look at the work that needs done (joist supports, window replacement, nothing to do with the garage door). We couldn't get the door open for the contractor like we could when he had come out before the tree removal. Travis says it wasn't his crew because he was watching the whole time and nothing hit the door, but I am at a loss as to what else it could have been. We had the tree removed before the recent storms that came through our area (thankfully!) and there are no other trees or structures near the garage that could have been damaged/have pieces hit the door.
It's a case of my word against his. So I'm just leaving the details here for you to draw your own conclusions.
Travis has said he isn't going to require the $75 for the removal of the wood chips. -
This guy is a complete joke he called me up and said he wanted to move my date up to get my tree removed. Being excited to get the tree removed ASAP I said sure! The day of the removal it was pouring down raining and he stated if he didn't
do it that day I would have to wait another 3-4 weeks. I paid him 1500 in cash for the work and and agreed to pay him another 150 within 2 weeks. However, after I noticed he destoyed my yard and didn't cut the tree up into 18 inch pieces they were all 24-36 inches so I could not splice them properly myself. He came to my house demanding the other 150.00 and I paid him and he didn't finish cutting the tree. He's a total JOKE!
This clown also tried to intimidate me and refused for me to deal with him until I got back from vacation. He’s lucky I didn’t deal with him how I wanted to because I’m a family man. He is a liar and a thief who doesn’t stand behind his work. This clown did 2k in damage to my lawn and did not fulfill his contract obligations. Also, the IRS should be notified since he doesn’t report his income property. -
Travis was extremely prompt in responding to my inquiry to have a rope swing hung in an oak tree for our grandchildren. Travis and his team also removed very old ivy that was strangling the oak tree. They were extremely professional, got the job done in a timely manner, and were very thorough in cleaning the area up. His price was extremely reasonable as well. I would highly recommend Travis and his team!

Phenomenal! Travis at Kustom Trim is timely, professional and trustworthy. We were at a loss with the most recent storm that hit the Ellet area. The few businesses that did quote the job were overpriced and one was unprofessional at best. However, when Travis quoted the job at a very fair price I was astounded and even better the entire job was completed within 24 hours of the quote. They cleaned the area immaculately.
I will reccomend them to anyone needing tree service. -
Travis and crew performed all work professionally and courteously, exceeded expectations. While much tree work was completed, the cleanup performed was excellent. Highly recommend and would use them again.

Travis and his team do great work. I have had them out twice now and they are very professional. The first tree work I needed I had 4 quotes. Travis was the best price of the quotes. They have also done work for my parents and their neighbor. We have all been happy with their work. They will be back out this fall to take down more trees.

Cant say enough good things about Kustom Trim. I needed a 40ish ft Blue Spruce removed, stump ground, shavings removed, & sod laid down from my front yard. (2 part process) Travis who i believe is the owner, was so knowledgeable and professional. He held my hand through the whole process and was always very quick to respond. Prices quoted were very fair and reasonable especially considering the fact that they are fully bonded and insured! I never once felt pressured in any way. His crew works like a well oiled machine. they were always timely and did everything they were supposed and then some. i was never left with any kind of mess in my yard/driveway. From start to finish I'm beyond impressed, i will be using them again and highly recommend!!

Spoke to the owner Travis. Told me the price and quoted a cash price. His two employees were very good. Wanted to make sure the job was done right. Before I got outside they accidentally took down a Pink Dogwood instead of a Sand Cherry That was requested. The dogwood was sentimental as well and planted in honor of family. The employee felt extremely bad and offered to replace it with one or something else. I understand that errors are made and said that will be fine. They trimmed my pear trees as requested. The owner was so upset that they took too long decided to call me and tried to get more money from me. He was going back on the agreed price. I Also mentioned the error made by his company and he didn’t want to hear about the wrong tree being taken down just his problem of not scheduling enough employees to complete the job in an hours time. Travis the owner said I took advantage of his employees because they were there too long. Really?? He also tried to tell me the guys were there for 5 hours and they were there just a little over 3. I have my doubts if this company will make it right regarding the wrong tree taken out. The two employees also offered to trim some of my bushes but I advised them no and I did do them myself. However, Travis was so rude and from any other complaints that I’ve read, his reactions were the same as they were to me. Rude, wants more money and no responsibility for his error.

I needed someone to remove an old tree on the edge of my yard and my neighbor’s. Fortunately , I started by reading reviews on Google AND the BBB. (I highly suggest that you do the same.). My son recommended Kustom Trim because of his good experience with them. I saw that they have great reviews.
I wanted the tree and stump gone, no roots left, and stump grindings removed. We also wanted new topsoil there, grass planted, and a smaller decorative tree in that spot. Guess what? Not all tree companies will do all of that. In fact, the company that has trimmed that tree for years wouldn’t even haul away the stump grindings, telling me that they don’t have the time for it!
-I certainly couldn’t manage to do all of that stuff. Fortunately, Kustom Trim does it all, and they beat EVERYONE’S price.
Owner Travis Kernik was friendly and accommodating, and his workers were meticulous in caring for my yard and my neighbor’s. They raked and vacuumed up every last twig, and not a gouge could be found in the lawn. All surface roots were removed. Then, after a few Spring rains settled the ground, they returned to add new soil, planted the new tree and new grass. Every last employee was helpful and careful. Only when everything was completed and perfect did I get a bill in the mail.
I was really worried that this project would be ridiculously expensive and would require work that I’m physically unable to do right now. Turns out that all I had to do was make a phone call, then write a check after the job was done flawlessly. And the price was very reasonable. These pros know what they are doing, and they get it right. -
Travis was very responsive, performed quality work and cleaned up very well. His crew was respectful and they did a great job. They will be my first call for any future tree services!

Working with Kustom Trim Tree Service was beyond phenomenal, they are a breath of fresh air in the tree service industry. KTTS delivered what was promised on time, on budget, and provided fantastic service. I would recommend KTTS to anyone looking to have tree work done!
Prior to selecting KTTS, this project has been an ongoing nightmare for 6+ months. I attempted to work with two other companies prior, who offered bids that seemed too good to be true (spoiler… they were). Long story short, these other guys caused me A LOT of grief and one of them even got some money out of me. By the time I began talks with KTTS I was very skeptical of everyone in the industry.
KTTS surprised and delighted throughout every step of the process! The owner of the company was very committed/flexible in scheduling a time to come scope the project and personally hand me the quote. During the initial consultation he was very transparent about their process and documenting the work. What especially stood out was KTTS was the only company to show me proof of insurance and go over their coverages! The cherry on top was the owner informed me they were a green company and 95% of the materials removed from my property would be recycled into firewood or mulch.
Based on my prior experiences it was almost comical how fast the KTTS crew got the job done. It took them about 8 hours to remove 3 very large maples, haul away the wood, and grind 6 stumps. I suppose that’s what you can expect from a company who has the proper equipment and staff! When my wife came home from work expecting our yard to be a war zone, she looked at me and said “why didn’t you hire this company 6 months ago…”
KTTS will be my first call for any future tree removal or trimming needs!
