10/24/24…. I initially signed a contract for all new windows in my home in April of this year, and paid the required deposit. There have been a variety of changes to the order since then, and then in early October I discovered that my sales person nor one of the lead installers (that I met numerous times), are no longer with the company. Not to mention that the Insurance Certificate they supplied me with is expired, along with their Workers' Comp. I reached out to the owner and told him that I would not be proceeding and requested a refund of my deposit. My request was denied, and I was told that I would be forfeiting the deposit due to billable hours since the project started. I requested a copy of the signed documents stating billable hours, and have yet to receive it. The contract that I have notes 10 business days to receive a refund, which has come gone. No work has been done on my home. No windows have been ordered. No refund has been received.

11/8/24… Owner finally responded yesterday, with the same generic response they have posted to others to give the public impression they want to resolve this. Yet, I first contacted them 4 weeks ago which is when they denied my refund request. And my last 2 direct messages to them have not been replied to either.

12/3/24…. Another month goes by and still nothing. They still have our money! I reached out to them on 11/8 - 1 day after they replied to this review - but received no reply. This is definitely NOT an upstanding company that does the right thing!

2025... This led me to really dig in and research Crown Pointe, which revealed multiple lawsuits for fraud and unpaid vendors. This is not a one-off mistake — it’s a pattern of theft and deception.

By May, I had to contact the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office to file a police report for theft. Subpoenas were sent, but months later, the prosecutor deemed it a civil matter — meaning I must sue them to get my own money back.

I have left negative reviews everywhere possible because I refuse to let anyone else fall victim to this dishonest, careless, and outright criminal behavior.

This company has no integrity, no accountability, and no shame. They hide behind empty promises, generic replies, and stolen deposits while laughing at the customers they ruin.

If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, DO NOT hire them.

This was a complete betrayal — and I’m sharing my story so no one else suffers the same devastating experience.

This company stole money from my work. In July 2025, we started an electrical project. He only paid 50% upfront, and in September he contacted me to finish the job, which was completed. When it came time to pay the remaining 50%, he just made excuses, and then he stopped answering messages and calls. This type of person should be reported so they don't continue stealing from others. He contacted me using the name Quincy Barret..

I get calls to my cellphone all of the time from financing companies who are looking for Quincy Barrett with Crown Pointe Remodeling. I have had the same number for 15 years. I have called Crown Point twice to ask them to update any company information that reflects my phone number in error but they have not called back and I keep getting their calls.

Update 1/5/26- We now have brown spots on our ceiling, and due to the pitch of our roof, a leak on our wall where the roofing sections meet.

additional records.

Recent reviews accurately reflect the fraudulent conduct of CPR. The company, owned and operated by Quincy Barrett (CEO) and Brandy Barrett (CFO), misrepresents services and caused us and other clients to lose thousands of dollars. CPR engages in repeated deception, creating a pattern of inconsistent and false statements.
Communication is routinely delayed or nonexistent.

Quincy Barrett goes silent for days and weeks at a time when updates are requested regarding the contracted project. Signed contracts are breached, and “lifetime warranties” become void when Quincy Barrett fails to meet contractual obligations. Quincy leaves before projects are completed or even begun. The project that was said would take two weeks to be completed did not even begin until 5 months later. The funniest yet pathetic part is that the project remains unfinished one year and one day after the contract was signed on 12/12/24.

CPR provides proof of current insurance coverage and then knowingly cancels the policy prior to the start of the project. When asked about insurance coverage for multiple property damages and a homeowner’s bodily injury caused by materials left in the yard, CPR provided evasive responses and no resolution. The homeowner is instructed to cover the damages out of pocket with the promise of reimbursement, RIGHT… Documented damages include the central AC unit, windows and screens, security cameras, all landscape lighting, and most of the landscaping. CPR's insurance was canceled on 4/25/25, which was before our home renovation began.

Quincy Barrett pressures homeowners to authorize loan disbursements using false statements. When contacted by the loan
company, he falsely stated that only one piece of siding remained to be installed for completion. The evidence speaks for itself.

CPR abandons gutter, roofing, and siding projects in an unfinished and unsafe condition, compromising the integrity of the home. The most documented deficiencies include gutters installed incorrectly, large sections of siding not installed, siding was installed on half of the porch ceiling instead of soffit, missing water barriers on exposed areas, no insulation in open sections of the home, an unfinished roof, multiple electrical outlets left exposed to the elements, and open gaps in the siding that have allowed vermin enter a previously sealed home now.

Due to Quincy Barrett’s failure to properly oversee the project in his role as project manager, custom window framing was not installed and may not have even been ordered. Security camera footage showed Quincy Barrett personally managing approximately one hour of the exterior project, which consisted primarily of walking the property and unloading supplies. A refund for the nonexistent custom window framing was eventually issued. However, CPR initially failed to provide the refund due to insufficient funds from the company account. Quincy Barrett claims the account was impacted by fraud. The refund was ultimately issued only after a cashier’s check was demanded.

Following the submission of the first review, and only review until today, 12/13/25, a 2:00AM text message was received containing a screenshot of the review and a threatening message. The nature of the threat, whether physical or legal, is unclear. A request for clarification received no response.

Responses provided by CPR now will consistently satisfy their claims, regardless of factual documentation. The conduct of Quincy and Brandy Barrett demonstrates a pattern of misrepresentation, nonperformance, and intimidation.

UPDATE 5/6/25
There ya have it folks! 1st screen pulled away from the 'staples' holding it in 4 months after final payment. Will be looking to install a proper metal rail system and not the cheap, short cut method that was used. Reduced rating to 1 star.

No love for Crown Point Remodeling!
We initially spoke with this contractor in January of 2024 and signed on with them in March to have them remove and replace a screened porch and re-shingle our roof.
Crown Point strung us along for 6 weeks about the permit, being told that the township was backed up but when we called the township, we were told that the application hadn’t been submitted.
What we were told by Crown Point to be a 4-week project started in July and was completed in December.
The porch needed 2 ‘not planned for structural posts’ so that the structure wouldn’t come tumbling down. This was one of many issues the township building inspector had with Crown Point on our project. These 2 ‘extra’ posts also ruined the look of the porch!
The reshingled roof looked good but leaked around the chimney during the 1st rain.
Crown Point’s owner tried to paly it off as my chimney problem and rather than repairing the chimney as per the contract, opted instead to send a few of his guys armed with black roofing tar to try and seal the leak.
Fortunately, before we made the final payment, there was another rain, and the roof still leaked.
After much prodding, the owner finally made the right move and had a professional chimney company come in and make the proper repairs per the contract.
Other project highlights(?) included:
 The owner and sales guy were very upbeat and communicated well up to the point of us signing the contract. After that, there was very little communication coming from anyone at Crown Point, especially regarding firm dates of any project milestones. CRICKETS!!
 Answers to our questions by the sales guy were repeatedly overturned by the owner.
 Giving Crown Point about $40k (50% of the porch project) as a down payment should have been a BIG RED FLAG!
 Initial delivery of materials for the porch was mostly wrong! The 1st of many delays due to very poor planning on Crown Point’s part.
 Weather notwithstanding, we didn’t get 5 consecutive days of work out of the 2 guys working on our porch.
 Trying to work with the finance company they selected for our roofing project was a joke.
 Crown Point apparently had ongoing cash flow problems as the owner was more concerned about payment than he was about anything related to customer service.
If you choose Crown Point Remodeling for a project, I hope you have better luck that we did.
If you have a project and are thinking of going with Crown Point Remodeling, think long and hard if you want almost a full year of no communication, wrong materials, and a general lack of knowledge of anything close to resembling good customer service and a pleasant experience.
This really should be a 1 star for the frustration in dealing with Crown Point, but the end result of both projects bumped this up to a 2 star.

My family member is living a nightmare because of Quincey Brown. They paid $25,000 to have the doors in their entire home replaced. Instead of finishing the job, Quincey Brown ripped out the old doors, left the home in shambles, and vanished with the money.
The house is now in a far worse state than when it started—it is unsecured, unfinished, and $25,000 has been stolen. This is not a "bad contractor" experience; this is professional fraud and property abandonment.

URGENT CALL TO ACTION:
If you have also been a victim of Quincey Brown, do not wait. Go to your local police station and file a report for construction fraud and theft by deception. We are working with the authorities to ensure there is a paper trail for this criminal behavior. You should also report them to the State Licensing Board immediately.
Save your family the trauma and the money—stay as far away from Quincey Brown as possible.

Run away as fast as you can! Scam artists that will eventually catch up to them! Paid $20k deposit for new Andersen windows. The windows were never ordered and no work was ever performed. Quincy, the owner, claims the $20k were charges for the sales consultation and measuring for the windows. Do a simple google search and you’ll find numerous lawsuits filed and several police agencies are now investigating. They are stealing from innocent people and should be stopped! I challenge a prosecutor to step up and prosecute! A civil suit won’t get any of our money back because they don’t have any. The FBI and IRS should also investigate these criminals!

Do not use this company! Everything you’re told is a lie. Expect 100% under delivery, missed timelines, questionable work, no team to do the actual work, and overall lack of knowledge about construction. We are asking for nearly 1/2 of our money back after we are sitting on a construction site after we broke ground over a year ago. Do NOT USE CPR!!!
