Landscaping reviews in Chagrin Falls, Ohio

We are selling our house as we are moving out of the town. Nobody is at home regularly. So we hired Mayflower Landscaping for lawn service based on the review here. The service was scheduled weekly ($80 per week). After over a month, my wife came back for the weekend to check the house. Big surprise when she saw the lawn: the lawn was out growing!!! It looks like that the lawn has not be mowed for a few weeks. We are very disappointed, especially that the house was listed for sale. Mayflower Landscaping company definitely can NOT be trusted!!!

We hired Mayflower based on their reviews *IN MARCH* to help fix our yard after being left high and dry by another local landscaper and we're having the exact same experience as before with no shows! All we want is someone to tell us when the work we already paid for will be completed and actually show up to complete it. We've been totally patient and completely understand weather and that landscaping companies are busy in the summer. But it's been 4 months. We were most recently told our work will be completed last Saturday and they never showed. They don't respond to our emails or texts either. I will gladly update this review when the work we paid for is actually done.

I asked Mayflower to come out and assess my yard to see what it would take to spruce up. They came out and were very professional. They delivered everything they promised and more. Thank you so much for bringing my yard back to being better than my neighbors!! Maybe the grass is greener!

Amazing services provided! With Mayflower Landscaping, LLC my expectations have been fully exceeded with their punctuality and responsiveness. My new mulch beds are absolutely beautiful and weekly cuts demand instant curb appeal.

They did an excellent job on the construction of my new mulch beds in the positioning and installation of 5 shrubs. They were easy to communicate with and very punctual on the time frame. I will use them again in the future.

Good riddance! Mayflower originally was scheduled to weed, edge and mulch for me on May 7th. After weeks of no shows, little to no communication they finally came on May 24th and 25th.

I left several voicemails and sent many emails. No phone calls were ever returned after I had requested it. Very little emails were responded to. When I was able to get someone on the phone, I was ‘guaranteed’ multiple times when a crew would be out. I understand there can be weather delays, but why am I guaranteed something that wouldn't occur? Needless to say they guarantee meant nothing.

Don’t you worry they are quick to send you an invoice! Was even charged extra for additional weeding.. maybe if they would have came when they originally said they would it wouldn’t have been so bad.

Would not recommend.

My organization, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, is extremely unhappy with Mayflower Landscaping LLC's snow services. There's no follow-through, and the owner is not responsive. Quality was already an issue, but not even coming out and plowing is entirely unacceptable. We had a major snowstorm, but it takes them days later (if they even come) to plow the lot and shovel the sidewalks. As I write this review, we're still waiting for them to come out and plow. We understand you're a small business, but you have an obligation to fulfill your contract. Until our situation is resolved, this review will remain.

I had them do the spring clean up in my yard and my other rental properties. I was very pleased with all that they accomplished in such a short period of time. They were prompt and professional. With that being said, their prices were very responsible. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

I hired Mayflower to renovate my landscaping to prepare my home to sell. It was a big task, and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule. The team of workers were amazing! My yard looks great! Thank you to Larry, Jamal, Jamil, and Hollis for their hard work and long hours.

Absolutely terrible service. They were super responsive at first when it came to collecting payment (fully up front) and accepting the job (saying they could get it done next week not a problem) but then completely ghosted us when it came time to do the work.

I called, left messages, emailed, texted over and over and they repeatedly told me we were "next on the list" or "the next dry day" or emailed me saying "no later than Monday at the absolute latest"

We booked this project on April 17th and still no one has started or returned our calls. (again this is for a job service I already paid for in full upfront). I have reached out by phone numerous times, emailed numerous times and now they do not respond and ignore my calls.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They will just stop responding to you after payment is collected

Updated review: Mayflower sent a crew to fix the landscaping today as promised and they did a wonderful job this time. Looks beautiful. I have updated my review and rating. Thank you for fixing the issue and standing behind your work.
Original review: I hired Mayflower Landscaping to do our landscaping in our back yard. Trimming trees, bushes, outlining the bed, weeding, planting, etc. They put me on the schedule and did not show up. I called and left a voicemail and they called me back and came out 2 days later to do the work. The work that was performed was completely unacceptable. They did not edge the bed so it blended in with the grass line. The next day I had weeds already sticking up from the mulch. The only thing that was trimmed was one tree end they took a huge branch out of the middle that was against the window and left everything else against the house. I called them to let them know that I was not happy and they said they would have someone come and look at it. No one came. I called and sent emails. Finally a week later they said they would send someone. Someone came out and they apologized for the work and said it was unacceptable. They told me the owner would call me that night to talk about a refund or redoing the work. That was on Monday. It’s now Friday and they will not answer my calls or emails. They charged me 933.00 for a small area and the poorest workmanship I have seen. The lack of response is completely unacceptable. Poor work. Unprofessional. Non responsive. No way to run a business. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!! The owner, Leann, is extremely rude & very unprofessional. As a dissatisfied customer she offered a refund but never gave it to me. Instead she sent me a fraudulent bill with added charges for services that weren’t complete. To remedy the prob before pursuing legal actions I asked again for the service to be completed. Once again, Leann responded with a ridiculous idea that I would pay in full before doing the job. Of course I didn’t agree. Don’t take the risk!! Seek a better company that respects their clients & honors their word. especially when it comes to being prompt, finishing a job, honest billing & refunding money.

I needed two large boxwoods trimmed in my front yard. I filled out the form on their website, they sent me a notice by email that they had received it. No contact after that for two weeks. I sent an email to at least get scheduled. They gave me a date and they never showed up or called me. In my opinion, they are a waste if precious time. Keep looking for a more reliable company to help you with your landscaping needs. They will definitely ghost on you!!!!

Mayflower Landscaping has done a wonderful job at my home and business. They were able to come out last minute when I needed work done. They are honest and their prices are very good!

Edited Review: The crew came and completed the job, working tirelessly for three days. They worked well and were very communicative to make sure they completed the project well. What looked like a bit of a jungle was clear and very neat when they left. I am very happy we were able to resolve this. Thank you

Original review: No one showed up for the scheduled project and no one called to postpone/reschedule the job. I’ve tried multiple times to reach them from the day before to confirm, and am still trying days after. I’ve had not one response after paying 50% deposit for the job.

Mayflower Landscaping did an amazing job transforming my yard! The new flower beds are stunning, and the patio is the perfect spot to relax. The crew was professional and efficient, and they cleaned up beautifully when they were finished. I'm so happy with the results!

I reached out to Susan and Ilahio for a one time clean up of my back yard. I have been unable to tend to our landscaping for a while, and it was wildly over grown back there.

They were quick to respond and give me a quote. I was surprised at the quote with how affordable they are, which made hiring them easy.

The crew came and knocked it out quickly. Everything looks SO nice, it's like having a new yard again!

They did an awesome job on a big area for an affordable price. Very professional and artistic when it comes to landscape architecture. I already locked them in for next year.

I called them on Wednesday and got a fair quote fast. They showed up on Sat and did a great job in a single day. Hard working and polite - What’s not to like. I’d hire them anytime !
