Reviews of local pros in Chardon, Ohio

This is a very professional tree removal service. We had 12 trees taken down in less than four hours. We had two stumps ground and all wood was cleaned up and hauled away. Price was extremely fair for the amount of work put into the project. Very prompt follow up communication with Robin the secretary. It was fun to watch them work! We will definitely use them again!

We were put in touch with Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal because we had four large trees that were surrounded by buildings and flat roof on all sides. Other companies turned down the job immediately. Bob and I met and he instantly gave me a fair quote and accepted the challenge. The day of removal his crew was early to the job site and professional the entire way through. Once set up, Bob and his crew made quick work of an otherwise impossible tree removal. They left my crew zero clean up and the property was left unharmed. I highly recommend Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal and would gladly have them back on my property.

From first phone call to Robin, to getting a quote, scheduling and job completion everything went flawless. Three large trees removed, one was picked over my house, took about half a day. The crew cleaned my yard up nicely. Despite wet conditions, there was minimal damage to my yard. Bob actually got another job on my street that he did a few days later, and during that time, one of his crew came back to my house and blew down my driveway to clean any remanence of dirt from a few days prior. The price was right (better than 4 other quotes) and the overall experience was smooth. Will hire again.

Quality Work from a Quality Company

I contacted Montgomery Tree and Stump for a proposal to remove a large maple which had split, a dead ash and to do tree trimming around my house. They responded within a day and submitted a quote, which, after comparing with other top rated companies, was accepted. The job was scheduled and the crew arrived as planned. Their equipment is state of the art. I was very impressed with the surgical precision of the tree removal. It was fun to watch. Tree trimming was better than I expected. Clean up was first rate with all debris being removed. I am very pleased with the workmanship and would use them again.

Great company! The owner came out same day I called, and he was busy with another job but he got me in. His equipment is top notch, it really makes the difference in the overall quality of the job. He took out 10 huge stumps in 30 to 40 minutes. His prices are very fair, I was super happy with outcome. I will defiantly hire Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal again!

Amazing job done! I had two trees removed with one of those being in a very tight backyard and these guys took on the challenge and did a great job. Their machinery is incredible and Bob and his crew are very skilled and know what they're doing. They were very respectful of my property and left it as clean as it was when they arrived. On top of it all they are very competitively priced for their services. Highly recommend!

Awsome company!Bob and his crew are truly experts in their field, from the equipment used,to their teamwork. In less than 24 hours of calling for an estimate, tree was removed from my roof! I'm not only impressed, but extremely grateful. Will recommend to anyone in need of this service.

Bob Montgomery provided a fair estimate, brought $1.5 million of equipment to the job with a team of five. The team of five utilized the equipment and efficiently worked three different job site areas on the property. The quality of work was exceptional. The customer responsiveness/service pre job and during the job was also exceptional. Highly recommend this company!

Not a crane service or tree guy I would use. Montgomery Crane was removing trees on the property next door to me. The outriggers of the crane were clearly six feet on my property without any notice. The outriggers were on top of drain tile with no regard to me the land owner. Bob Montgomery refused to talk to me. They moved after I expressed concern. Total disregard to me the land owner. Do you want to anger your next door neighbor?

Great experience overall with Montgomery Tree. The scheduling was a little confusing at first as I've never hired any contractor in my life but it was smooth sailing otherwise. They took down 4 really huge trees and raised the canopy on several other trees. The crew came right on time and cleaned up the debris after they were done. Fantastic value for the services that were performed, they have the equipment to get it done right even for trees in a bad spot. Highly recommend.

Completely satisfied with the service provided by Bob, Robin and the team at Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal. I received a timely and fair estimate for tree removal and trimming for the property I had just purchased. Despite a very busy summer, they were able to come out and complete the service on time. The team was professional, safe, courteous and went above and beyond to remove one tree and trim dead limbs all over the property. They even relocated a rope swing from one limb to a healthier one. When they were finished, they cleaned so well it was like they were never there. I highly recommend this business for all of your tree & stump removal needs!

If you need tree work, regardless of what it is, this is your company. Within a week from estimate to finish it was done. We had 3 good sized pine trees removed, the crew hat was here was so knowledgeable, professional and SAFE, this company has exceeded our expectations, very polite courteous and efficient. They were here about 2 hours and you would have never known they were here, they cleaned up the yard so nice they have state of the art equipment, watching these guys in action is worth the reasonable price they charge Anyone I know that needs tree service, ….Montgomery is your company Hands down Thank you Bob and crew you guys are amazing !!!!!

Bob and his Team at Montgomery Tree were Great! They arrived on time and did an amazing job with my 5 60 ft trees. From start to finish they were professional and very reasonable with their pricing. I give them a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend them.

I hired Bob Montgomery and Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal based on reviews on this site and fully agree with what others have said. They did a great job at a fair price.

They do a lot of things right. They have state of the art equipment to take down difficult trees - and without damaging your property and landscaping. This likely required some investment on their part, but it really pays off for you in terms of the quality of the job and the preservation of your land. They took great care not to wreck our lawn - putting down sheets of plywood to prevent damage from the trucks.

Bob Montgomery is a retired police officer and my guess is that he was a very good one.

We have some trees we know will need to be taken down in a year or two and I won't even bother calling anyone else. These folks simply do a great job.

Montgomery Tree removed twelve to fourteen very tall dead or dying ash trees from my property.
They arrived on time. Several of the trees were at the back of the property, but Bob and his crew removed them
efficiently and safely with their remote controlled crane. The crew were all friendly and competent.
Logs were left as requested and neatly stacked where agreed. All yard areas and driveway were completely cleaned
afterward. Price was very good. Highly recommend Montgomery Tree.

Montgomery is a fantastic tree service company! We really appreciated the care, professionalism, friendliness and value we experienced when they removed a large, cracked and dangerous tree in our front yard on a busy street in Painesville. The job was done safely, cleanly and quickly, and right on schedule. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience with Montgomery! Bob quickly made it to our home for an estimate, offered recommendations that allowed us to save a few trees, and was fairly priced. The team completed the work within a week and were quick and tidy! I highly recommend and would use them again!

We employed the services of Montgomery tree and stump removal 2 weeks ago . Bob visited the property and gave a very reasonable quote for the removal of a tree. The following day his very efficient secretary sent the quote by mail which I signed and returned .
The crew of three people arrived out yesterday with cranes and a shredder at 8 am and by 11.45 the job was completed with the yard left in an immaculate condition.
I was thrilled with the efficiency of the job and complete professionalism. I highly recommend Montgomery Tree and Stump removal for any job involving trees. Great job Bob !

Working with Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal was an absolutely positive experience for my family. An enormous pin oak fell on our new car, 3 weeks after we got it. We tried to clear up some of the debris, but decided that we needed help. We also had a large maple in our front yard that had significant rot. Several companies we contacted did not return our calls requesting an estimate. Robin, at Montgomery was so helpful and understanding and communicated with the owner, Bob. He came the same day and provided us with a reasonable written estimate that same day. Bob did exactly what he promised. The entire crew was meticulous, paying attention to detail as they worked. My husband and I are so happy with their work. Most importantly, they are good people. Bob runs a tight ship. Thanks you so much for having integrity in your work. Johanna.

Thank you so much for the terrific job removing a very large maple tree in our University Hts home. You made it look easy with your proper equipment. We would definitely recommend you!

I have used Montgomery Tree & Stump Removal on several occasions. This company has always been very professional from start to finish. The office manager set up a date and time, the guy came when promised and got the work done in a timely manner. These guys are extremely hard workers that get everything done. No big job is too much for them to handle. The cost is very reasonable and I will continue using and recommending these guys!
