Carpentry & Woodwork reviews in Cincinnati, Ohio

I contacted Cincinnati Wood Collaborative to build a bookcase for a wall in my living room. From the first email to the last handshake the staff were professional, knowledgeable, respectful of my home and extremely talented. Sara took my idea and designed a gorgeous piece. Andrea took over for Sara and followed through with the build. Guillermo, Dani and Emily installed it and made on the spot adjustments due to the slope of my floor. They were also so kind to my grandson who was with me that day. The result is a gorgeous, bespoke bookcase that fits perfectly in my space. I am beyond thrilled!

Cincinnati Wood Collaborative was great to work with, and constructed a beautiful bar top for us! They were always professional and on time. They were very thorough and patient as we went through the process. We are so pleased with our bartop--it is exactly what we wanted and couldn't be happier. We would use them again in a heartbeat!

CWC was great to work with and created a beautiful custom dining table. They communicated well and worked with me to meet my requested specifications and clarify my options. They presented alternatives in order to lower the cost, provided stain samples and stayed on their original timelines/delivered on time. The delivery was top notch - several men to carry the heavy table into the house and assembled the base with care. The finished product is high quality and beautiful. I definitely recommend seeking them out to create custom furniture!

We love the Cincinnati Wood Collaborative. They've now restored six pieces for us, including five that are mid-century and solid walnut. All of the pieces have been in our homes since we were small children. They look gorgeous! And the repairs are first rate. The prices have been excellent. We would never go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Inspiring artistry, impeccable attention to detail, breathtakingly beautiful results that are designed for living and not just looking, and a delightful team to work with. We were sad to lose a gorgeous old oak tree but are very happy to have these wonderful pieces join our family.

We originally had a sliding door installed as part of a remodel by a contractor company who was sloppy throughout our home. The slider for the powder/laundry room was so uneven, and the wall so unstable, it wobbled and the whole frame needed replaced. Even the sloppy contractor got himself locked inside the room, it was that poorly done, yet never properly fixed. We had to replace the door within months of the completed remodel but we didn't want a standard door in that area. A Murphy door was the prefect solution, but the aforementioned issues made a prefab order too iffy.

I contacted Cincinnati Wood Collaborative, pitched my idea, and while they admitted they'd never done a Murphy door, they were here within a day to measure. From there, the entire process was smooth. The design team was super careful to get the shelving depth exactly right so when the door is closed, the bathroom drawers open completely, something we hadn't considered in our measurements. They are serious about attention to detail! The craftsmanship and end result is really beautiful.

When delivered, Guillermo worked meticulously to fix the wall and frame problems left by the sloppy contractors. We now have a stable wall AND a solid, level door that functions as built-in shelving (shout-out to Velco)! The door has been in our home for one week and has been the envy of everyone-especially when they realize it hides an entire room!

We were looking for custom corner shelves in our kitchen for my coffee mugs. We are absolutely in love with the way this project turned out. The entire process from start to finish was very easy and exceeded our expectation.

I commissioned CWC to build a custom table for our DnD room and gave them creative license to make my dream a reality. Using reclaimed architectural wood from a century and a half old home, iron embellishments, and hard carved runes into the table top, it turned out amazing. By far, my favorite piece of furniture ever. I look forward to the next project I hire them for.

A bit delayed, but I can’t say enough about how happy I am with both of my art shelving projects the team did for me! I had a vision and they brought it to life! Very helpful during design phase and great installation experience. I get compliments every time someone enters the room! Thank you! Highly recommend!
