We were restoring my childhood home and really needed the whole house rewired. That was in 2022. We still talk about the amazing, tasteful job that Lili did for us. She found ways to do all we asked for, then also came up with some different ideas that we liked better than our own. The whole team was so careful with our home. She found the perfect spot to put in a new panel and went to great lengths to make it work. Our home is 1.5 storeys and Lili found a way to get to all the books and crannies to add or replace wiring.
Unfortunately, Cullen has worked itself out of a job because they did such wonderful work and we won't need to have them come back. So all I can do is most highly recommend them . -
Update: Thank you Mr Cullen for reaching out to me so quickly and resolving the pricing issue.
I was very impressed with the two gentlemen who performed the work. They tested a newly purchased dimmer switch and determined it was faulty. The 20 minute service call was $249. Considering the cost for the work performed, I can’t justify recommending your company. -
Wired service line to a new panel in detached garage. Mixed experience with this company. Some was great. Some was a complete fail. The fail was primarily in details and in communications. But the devil is in the details, right?
1) Five stars: I was impressed with Wil, who came out to give the estimate. He was the only person among several companies that I got bids from who said they would bore instead of trenching to lay the cable. That was excellent! They bored under the tree roots and under the garden - minimal disturbance. This method should be used as much as possible!
2) Three stars: The guys who did the work did a creditable job. But they did not let me know in advance that they were on their way - important as it was a rental property and I needed to inform my tenant. They never read that note given them by the dispatcher.
3) Four stars: When the installation was done, the company wanted payment. I said I'd rather wait until the IBI inspector signed off. Reasonable isn't it? Cause in fact the first inspection failed due to some improper wiring to the meter/outside breaker, and also didn't meet code inside the garage. This was remedied at no extra charge to me and the inspector came out a second time.
4) Three stars: Once that was done, I was not told anything about next steps. I did not know that I needed to call Duke and set up an account. This is something that Cullen should have informed me of, and it's just lucky I wasn't waiting around a long time with no power restored. They told me their responsibility was complete once the inspector came out, but how was I to know that I had to take further steps to get power turned on?
5) Two stars: The two overhead lamp fixtures were left hanging, not finished in the installation. For $4000 I should not have had to get up on the ladder and screw the fixtures in. And the main breakers were left off, but no one informed me they needed to be turned on to start power. Luckily I am somewhat aware and knew to look in the panel, but not everyone would know to do this.
6) One star: After the two guys drove off I went to look at the meter and found that they had left a plastic cover off, which would have allowed rain to enter this meter that was connected to my house meter and thus it could have been a hazardous mess. I called them and they turned around and came back to put the plate on. Like I said , the devil is in the details.
Overall, I think there is expertise in this company, especially with two sisters who are highly seasoned electricians. But they do not actually do the work - rather one of them came out to meet the inspector after the work was completed. The actual workers left things undone. They did not communicate as I had requested.
I would use this company again because they came in with a good bid and did acceptable work. But I would recommend anyone hiring them to be vigilant. -
Disorganized chaos.
I paid Cullen around 5k to install LEDs, fans, switches throughout my house. What was supposed to be a 2 day job was dragged out for 4 months due to them showing up with the wrong lights, the wrong tools, forgotten appointments, and radio silence when trying to get a hold of them. The biggest hurdle was setting up two 3way switches in my kitchen on opposite sides of the room to control the lights. After a month of waiting for them to get a long drill bit that they needed to complete the job they showed up without the tool and said my only option was to take a short cut that would not accomplish what we wanted in the 3 way switches. I also have 2 different colored sets of lights in my kitchen that look horrible together. I finally gave up on them and now I'll have to hire a new electrician to finish their job.
They seem like good guys and they mean well but paying that kind of money and not finishing the job leaves a bad taste in your mouth. They seem to be experiencing some significant staffing shortages like everyone is right now and it shows. Will is a good guy but communication with him was a struggle at times. Duncan was fantastic and did his best to put out the fires that arose from planning and communication problems. -
Cullen had met our customer service expectations prior, during 2020; however, they have since faltered with poor communication, a cancellation, and showing up at our home without a courtesy call at 8:10am. We moved on from their services.

These guys claimed to be "pool experts" but realized when they came to my job that they were in over their head. The owner had a crew come out, ran hybrid conduit (plastic and metal) that made it difficult to ground, cut through a water pipe, then abandoned the job the following day saying their other job ramped back up. I could tell they were in over their heads. He charged me for a crew of 3 for the entire day even though they probably wasted hours gettings a plumber there to repair my water line. Then my primary pool contractor let me know that they were sniffing around asking if I was late paying my contractors and saying they were worried I wasn't going to pay. If you have a pool, avoid these guys like the plague.

Before Pandemic they were great, not sure why they were reluctant to follow-upand fix somethings. Now can't get an estimate or schedule other work, despite supervisor saying v they'd get back to us that day. Nope, e, a call, a promise, no estimates?!
When it comes to follow-up, repair work ...well don't expect them to come out unless it's a major screw-up. I got all kinds of promises, but not what they said they'd do. You'd wonder too, as potential future work or offering to pay them what it was worth. Nope, nothing. I never saw them, yet they said they drove by? Later saying they came by again and "looked" at our light pole. We were home. Also, after 5 pm, ...they aren't coming, let alone going to take the time to fix what they started. Only a conciencous, professional does that.
The owner only cares about the next job vs customer satisfaction or repeat business.. Sadly they said they didn't buy the light pole, blamed the manufacturer vs provide a good fix, and make a customer happy.
Never let the contractor leave until the fully fix the problem. They'll yak your ear off, but in the end they are there to do a job.. It's not a friendship. They should be professional, let alone not put you off and handle things with a higher priority and do what they said.
Either a nut and nipple thread were stripped or a manufacturing defect. I know a better fix, and/or reinforcement would go along way to making sure it doesn't come loose or separate.
It's important one can trust a contractor. I'd recommend not paying everything until 2 weeks go by. Meanwhile contact the BBB.
I don't recommend this company or people. -
If they do electric any worse than they drive at 20 mph on the interstate, stay away before your house burns down. I went to school for electric, and although residential isn't the most complicated, it's a tad more difficult than driving a vehicle. Premier electric will come out, give you a reasonable quote for free, and do a professional job! Keep this Cinci business out of Kentucky.
