They. caused a major fire at my condo complex and my condo was not part of the fire but i was with out electricity for days I have them my number and they were horrible at communication would just randomly call and need me there at once.. my children and i are staying in a hotel and I work two jobs randomly having to leave work because they cannot schedule when they will be at the house is beyond frustrating. They said they needed me there at 7:30 so i took a half day off work i went to leave at 1:39 and they stopped me saying they needed in my place… then today i get a call that they need in and are there now 🤬🤬🤬 Please use another company and don’t risk your life and safety

WOW, I'm fairly confident nobody at Curry will even read this. I had used Curry before years ago and the work was ok. This company clearly needs some online help. I own an Ad Agency. I called to see if they would consider barter for the labor part. If they said no, I was still going to have them come out to do a cash bid. Before I even had a chance to explain the cash part I was rudely hung up on by the owner.

The work was done fine. However I had a very simple job and was way overcharged. Two guys came - (one worked, one watched) & were at my house less than 90 minutes . And they sat in the van creating my invoice for 15-20 of those minutes. But I was charged 1.75 hours of labor at $80/hr for first guy plus $48/hr for 2nd guy plus a $65 service fee. Almost $300 not including materials was my total bill for about 1 hour of work. I called the company and they thought it seemed a bit high as well and said they would investigate & call me back, but never did.

My parents have been without electricity for four days. This company had promised them that they would be out to restore power but after speaking to them again, communicated that they never promised that. Furthermore, called my elderly parents liars. Poor customer service and awful communication within the company. The electrician coughed, cleared his throat, and spit while I was trying to talk to him!! How unprofessional! They have no compassionate bone in their body.
The frustrating part is if you are in need and have an emergency you are at their mercy. This is unfortunate because I love supporting family runned businesses. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Curry Electric took 6 hours to replace 5 outlets less than a year ago ($534.34) and today's issue was because they installed a bum GFCI outlet which shorted out causing all the outlet replacements to short out also. When contacted, their response was rude and accusatory, along with stating they would charge me again for any service call or repairs.
I will never use or refer anyone to Curry Electric again, and I will ALWAYS choose Mister Sparky (gotta love the name) for any future electrical work!

Wish I had called Mister Sparky first instead of Curry Electric!

The wire to the dishwasher was about 6 inches to a foot shorter than needed when we were replacing our dishwasher. I called Curry and they came the next day. $185 to extend the wire about a foot. $25 for tool rental. What tool does an electrician need to rent to install 1 junction box and extend one wire a foot? I have no idea. I was charged for a full hour of labor ($80/hr) and a service call ($65) although I can't imagine a professional electrician needing an hour to install one junction box and extend one wire a foot. Wow. The only reasonable part of the bill was $15 for other materials.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Curry Electric Inc., specifically with Tyler and Tim Curry. Here are the key issues I encountered:
    1. Contract Violation: We initially agreed on a contract for $8,000 to complete electrical work in a 4-unit apartment building. However, after passing a rough inspection, they unexpectedly sent an invoice for $22,000, nearly three times the agreed amount.
    2. Unprofessional Conduct: When I questioned the invoice discrepancy, Tyler became confrontational on the phone, insisting on the $22,000 payment despite our original agreement.
    3. Refusal to Complete Work: Months later, when I requested they return to finish the contracted work, they refused unless I paid the inflated $22,000 amount.
    4. Retaliatory Behavior: Upon informing them that I would need to hire another contractor to complete the work, Tim responded with a threatening message. He later sent an email stating he had cancelled their permit and would report me to the Electrical Inspection Bureau and Building Department, including an unsubstantiated claim about a "5th Apt."
    5. Poor Communication: Throughout the process, their communication was unprofessional and at times appeared to be intentionally harmful to my project.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Curry Electric Inc. Their failure to honor the original contract, unprofessional behavior, and apparent attempts to hinder the project's completion after disputes arose were deeply concerning. Potential clients should be wary of similar experiences.

We had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Curry Electric home office when needing to remove knob and tube from our home in order to sell. Our realtor referred Curry to come out and give us a quote for how much it would be to remove the knob and tube, we were quoted 1.5-2 days of work, totaling around $3000-4000 at the most. This factored into our decision to do the knob and tube instead of giving the buyer a credit. We scheduled for Curry Electric to come out do do the job. After the first day they notified us that they found more than expecting and that it would take a full 2 days and possibly a 3rd day, thus impacting the cost. After the 3rd day they still had not completed the job and stated that they would need a 4th day in order to complete the work. We then called the office and spoke to Traci Curry, in which she was very understanding of our concern with the pricing and she told us they would work with us on final price. After the 4th day they stated the work was completed. After calling several times to get the invoice we finally received it. There was no mention of the garage in the report at all, even though when scheduling for them to come out we specifically asked them to check the garage for knob and tube. So now they needed a 5th day because of there lack of communication with the electricians. Traci was very appologetic about her electricians not checking the garage and them needed to come back out. However then after completing the work we received the invoice, we emailed and called several times over several days and finally got ahold of Traci. In which she said no they cannot work with us on the pricing and that is for you guys to figure out and “she would much rather figure it out with us than place a lien”. Even though at the time of this call we still had 10 days until the payment was due according to the invoice.
The electricians that came out to house were very professional, showed up on and time, worked very hard and did a great job. However the front office was an absolute nightmare to get ahold of, speak to someone that could actually help you, and unwilling to work with even though our total bill was more than double what we were originally quoted. We constantly had to chase them down for answers and they made our home selling process even more stressful with their lack of communication and lack of understanding when their original quote had more than double.
