The whole team did a great job!

I can't recommend Oliver and Jake highly enough! Oliver, the arborist, spent quality time helping me improve my yard with his expert advice and careful attention to detail. His knowledge and dedication were evident in every suggestion he made.

Jake went above and beyond with planting my new trees and removing stumps. Not only did he take care of the heavy lifting, but he also spruced up my yard by putting down grass seed, leaving everything looking fantastic.

Both Oliver and Jake were amazing, and their hard work has truly transformed my yard. If you're looking for professional, dedicated, and friendly service, look no further!

I would highly recommend Gregory forester for any of your landscaping needs! I’d recommend working with Brian, he is my go to guy whenever I need a quote or overall suggestions on how to improve my landscaping, he’s very knowledgeable and personable. I’ve had them grade my backyard, install a French drain to help with flooding, and just recently had them install a beautiful stone path in my backyard. The guys that come out and do the work (Andy, Brandon, and Brenden) are very hardworking, professional, and friendly. Overall, they are all great and knowledgeable people to work with!

I recently had my trees fed and pruned by Gregory Forrest Lester. Terrific experience all the way around. I worked with several employees, and they were all professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer my questions. They were always on time, always got back to me, and did an excellent job. Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Gregory Forrest Lester and his team highly enough. After a tree fell on my house, I was completely overwhelmed. I had never experienced anything like that before, had no idea what to expect, and honestly just blindly trusted the insurance process without really understanding what was happening.

I was fortunate to be connected with Hunter and Oliver, and they were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to explain everything, walk me through each step, and make sure I understood what was happening along the way. They were extremely responsive, very patient with all of my questions, and truly made a stressful situation so much easier to handle.

They also worked incredibly quickly and efficiently, while still being kind, personable, and easy to talk to. Their professionalism, communication, and genuine care made all the difference during a really difficult time.

I’m incredibly grateful for their support and guidance, and I will absolutely be referring anyone I know to them in the future. Highly recommend!

Brad W., Tyler, Chris and Dustin worked tirelessly all day to cut down my huge maple tree. They were very respectful of my property and left it cleaner than when they arrived! The entire process went very smoothly~ from getting a quote from their Board Certified Arborist Alex to grinding the stump to non-existence! I also appreciated the phone calls letting me know when they were going to arrive. I highly recommend Gregory Forrest Lester Inc. Tree Health Professionals.

I went back and forth on the rating to provide, because I think they have tried to make things right, but I think that I should be honest about what went wrong so that others can be aware. The company has chocked some of this up to “growing pains”, so hopefully it will improve in the future.

I chose this company due to a family member telling me about how they were oak tree experts and because of wanting an evaluation by an actual arborist and not just someone looking to cut back trees. The cost was on par with other tree work I had done in the past. The work itself seemed ok, but my yard was tore up and things were left in a mess. The work took several visits. I had suggested that the timing of the work was not great (after we had had 5 inches of snow melt on my sloped clay property), but was advised that they would assess when they arrived and decide if the work could be done. They chose to do the work and tore up my yard, moved items that were not put back and ran over a shrub planted this past fall. There was a gap between visits and I had expressed concerns about the level of yard damage after the first visit, but they came back and the third round was quite similar. Just after completing the work initial work and without remediation, I was sent the bill. I called to express concern again and was advised at that time that I didn’t need to worry about the bill and a team would be out after the holidays to assess my concerns. At that time, I was also told that they probably pushed my job up, in order to meet the end of year quota! I had to reach out again after the holidays to get someone out, but in the mean time I got a call advising me that I was scheduled for more work. It turns out the notes said my tree hadn’t been taken down yet, despite my reporting complaints and them having billed me. When I had the assessment, I was told that the job should not have been done with the ground so wet and some of the stuff that was disordered should not have been moved in the first place. Remediation was discussed and completed. They were even able to obtain a replacement for the native shrub that was in pretty limited supply at the native plant sales. I was luckily off work when they arrived for the second day of remediation, because there were still questions about what needed to be completed. After all of this, I got a call less than a week after the remediation was completed telling me that I was overdue on my bill. What salt in the wound!

Unless one thinks I’m overreacting about the yard damage, I was shoveling my drive after the most recent snow storm and a neighbor I had previously not met stopped to chat. They mentioned independently how badly my yard was tore up by the tree company.

Ultimately, they have strove to try to make things as right as one can after the fact and I can respect that. This led to some ambivalence about the review.

TL:DR Quite a few communication difficulties and some ill-timed work led to a mud mess in my yard, disordered piles of wood and shrubbery murder. Repairs were made.

The crew were fantastic! Friendly, professional, efficient. I will be using Gregory Forrest Lester, Inc. again.

The whole team at Gregory Forrest Lester have been great to work with. This is the second property we’ve used them for. We had a prominent maple that we didn’t want to take down unless we knew it was the best decision. Oliver, a master arborist (top 2% of arborists) came out and spent over an hour walking through the different options based on the tree’s health and environment. It was unfortunately the best call to take down the original tree but we were able to stump grind and plant a new tree right on top of the new one that will be much better suited for the conditions it will grow in. We also decided to add a second tree for some privacy that won’t tear up the sidewalks or driveway!
Brad and team came out to cut the tree down then their stump grinding crew and tree install team were all there ready to go. We had the old tree down, stump grinded completely flat and two new trees done in 6 hours. The price is worth the work and knowing you made the most educated choices you could!

The whole crew, Brad, Nate, Zach D, Curtis, Trent, and Joe, were very efficient. It was amazing to watch. Our property and surrounding areas were picked- up and cleaned, never know they were there.

We highly recommend Gregory Forrest Lester. Every employee we have interacted with has been extremely knowledgeable, professional and a true pleasure.
Explanations of proposed tree treatments are comprehensive and make it clear that Certified Master Arborists have invaluable, extensive knowledge about trees and how to best care for them.
Prices are reasonable and I never felt a proposed treatment was not needed.
Materials provided are extensive to help homeowners understand the benefits of each treatment, most of which were one-time only.
Josh was very nice, clearly knowledgeable and professional preforming a tree removal with his team.
Oliver deserves special recognition. From the moment we first spoke on the phone I knew he was exceptional. His vast knowledgebase, combined with a great demeanor and obvious care for trees is remarkable. He also clearly enjoys interacting with his clients. Throughout this first year of tree treatments, he has continuously proven a commitment to service of the highest quality, and has been an absolute pleasure. I know our courtyard trees, which we treasure, will live a long, healthy and better life thanks to him.

Certified Arborist, Teddy Woodhouse, was a key member in helping expedite our service, and assuring we still would have our stately maple tree. These are words that come to my mind after hiring Gregory Forest Lester to remove a very large maple and prune our magnolias and oak. The service we received from Gregory Forrest Lester for our large tree removal was beyond expectations and every single person on the crew was kind, caring and professional! The tree was an immediate danger to our home and family and they went above and beyond to keep us safe. They made almost no mess and left our yards looking exceptional. They even let our preschooler watch some of the crane activity. We would highly recommend their services and fair prices. If I could change anything, I would remind the salesperson that husbands aren't always the ones who look over the home and outside care. I love to remind folks that sometimes wives make these big decisions too :)

I highly recommend Maxwell Tree Service. Michelle and Chris who own the company are great to work with as well as their professional crew.
They and their crew are tremendously experienced, having worked in this industry, their entire life.
They took down two very large trees and the third tree and ground all the stumps and cleaned up the yard so well that there wasn’t a twig to be found.
I was so impressed with how well and how safely the crew worked together.
Add to this, I felt that they did this work for a very fair price.
Again, I cannot recommend them more highly.

I had Chris and Michelle come take care of a fallen tree. Due to the bad weather over the weekend all I have to say is wow these guys are amazing. Chris came out and quoted me and was here the next day took care of the tree and also a tree in my front lawn had amazing conversations with them after work was done and will highly recommend them to anybody trustworthy, honest and fair and also very conversationalist they are great people. If you need work please hire them. I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend Maxwell’s Tree Service. I had a couple trees that needed to be cut down, branches in other trees that needed to be removed as well as several stumps needing removal. I called Maxwell’s Tree Service. They were very prompt in coming to give me an estimate and getting the work completed. Communication was excellent, Chris and Michelle were both on site working, they had a great team that worked well together, the right equipment, and the job was completed safely and efficiently.
