I hired D2 to do some yard cleanup which included weeding, flower bed mulching, ivy removal, and re-grading. Dave was very professional and responsive. Once I approved the estimates, his team was onsite the following day and completed all the work within 2 days. I am very happy with the quality of the work they have done and plan to continue using them for future projects!

We had Dave and his crew come out to fill our raised garden beds with quality soil and clear out the overgrown landscape beds in front of our house. They arrived on time, made sure we were on the same page with the work being done, worked efficiently, and made sure to leave things looking great! With the heavy rains we’ve had, their equipment (not surprisingly) tore up part of the yard, but they put down grass seed and straw once they were done. I was on a call and wasn’t able to take a look until they had left, but when I noticed a few plants had been left that I wanted removed, they made sure to come back out and get it taken care of. We’ll be sure to use D2 for any future landscaping needs!

We had D2 install a flagstone walkway and tiered steps on the front of our house and are very pleased with the finished product. Everyone we dealt with was very knowledgeable and communication was prompt and professional. They were able to start and complete the project about a week earlier than we were originally told which was also great. Would definitely recommend/use again.

After owner's response: That's just simply not true. By itemized, I don't mean, "Patio = $X, lights = $Y, and mulch = $Z." I think having to explain what customers expect when asking for design options and specific prices for a project like this is exactly what warrants a 1 star rating here. To give you an idea, it was 6 weeks ago that you came out, and I'm just now finalizing the design and quoting process elsewhere.

I had them out a while ago to quote multiple parts of a pretty large overall project for my house. I wanted all flower beds surrounding the house refreshed with mulch and new plantings, which isn't a big deal, but then I also wanted to get an idea of pricing for a stone patio and all new landscape lighting around the whole house and patio. I figured they'd be here measuring, offering suggestions for design, material options, etc. etc. for quite a while for that type of project. The estimator showed up and was gone within 5-10 minutes. He didn't measure anything at all. Maybe 30 minutes later, he sent me the estimate like it was already pre-made, and it was just total price with no options or itemization. When I asked about different options, hourly rates, and etc. he responded that they don't provide itemized quotes with different options, and he gave me some other total prices for a few other materials. Again, he hasn't even measured anything or considered any design options that would influence the price. I've never experienced any contractor in any form of home improvement that would not give options and itemized pricing for certain work. Then I asked if they could just come and drop off some mulch, and was told they don't even go to a job for less than a $1,000 minimum. I don't know how it's possible to immediately throw out total prices for jobs without even knowing what the job will be, other than if you just quote everything incredibly high. That seems to be the case here.

D2 Landscaping & Outdoor Services did a fantastic job on our new basement entrance steps and wall. It exceeded our expectations. The 20 tons of river rock around our house looks BETTER than we imagined. Dave was very informative on what shrubs you plant. The workers were courteous & knew what they were doing. They completed the job in a timely manner. I recommend D2 to everyone and will use them again in the future.

D2 Landscaping did a wonderful job with my lawn, from start to finish. Mark captured exactly what I had in mind and needed, and the crew that came to do the work did a beautiful job. The cost was reasonable, and the customer service and follow-up were responsive and very prompt. I will use D2 again and recommend them highly.

Had to get two new retaining walls built on either side of my driveway. D2 was the best value and did an amazing job. They were very professional, always on time and communicated during the project. The work was excellent. I've received many comments on how great it looks. Would highly recommend D2 to anyone and will use them again on future.

We are very happy with our decision to use D2 for our project (retaining wall and concrete area). The overall product exceeded our expectations. The crew members that work for D2 are incredible. They were there everyday until the project was completed, arriving early in the morning and often times working late into the evening. Everyone we were involved with throughout the process displayed professionalism and kindness. Some areas of the project required some adaptation to the original design and those decisions were nicely communicated

I cannot say enough about how great the work was that D2 did for us! They were very courteous, timely, and responsive to our requests and comments. They were also very respectful of our property and did an amazing job cleaning up.

We had two retaining walls and a deck built and we absolutely love them! They did very high quality work and it was done quickly. We are extremely happy with the work they did and we definitely recommend them to others and will use them again!

Top notch! I called a few different places to get a quote for some work I needed done in the back yard. The other place said they would call me back to set up a day to get a quote and I never heard from them. However D2 Landscaping sent me a link the same day to book the free estimate. Estimate was quick and easy, and with in a few weeks they had my yard looking perfect! Lalo was the best, he was very professional and detail oriented. Thank you D2 Landscaping definitely will be recommending!

This crew works! Every person at D2 was responsive, kind, capable and hard working. I’m really happy with this company and would highly recommend. They just finished my job and I won’t know for sure if the new drainage will solve all my water problems but so far everything is really good.
I got estimates from 3 companies and everyone was about the same price. Lalo was so responsible and knowledgeable and remembered all the little details and they cleaned up the site afterwards. Great company. Respectful crew. Hardworking. I hate to say it, but it’s really surprising to see the kind of integrity and work I witnessed with D2. I wish we had more businesses like this!!

D2 helped me out with my landscape. Did a great job at a great price. Definitely recommend!

I hired for some fence repair and minor landscaping work. Not one picket on the fence was plumb, and the top profile is like a roller coaster. And the landscaping items were not done per contract. After two days of trying to get the work done correctly, I told him to just leave. Today I discovered something new that wasn't done per contract, so I decided to warn others. (I do not live in Seattle.)

Do not use! I was extremely optimistic at first. They came out, quoted the project, and even started the work in a timely manner. We had them do a bunch of weeding and landscaping and some drainage work. After the fact I realized they never installed the weed barrier cloth they quoted us for and that we paid for. They also relocated a couple of bushes, which died immediately. The photo I posted is from not long after the project was done - looks like garbage. As other reviewers have stated, the owner apparently likes to win projects, get your money and then ghost you afterwards. So frustrating.

I had D2 Landscaping out for a spring cleanup and mulch installation, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My yard was in serious need of attention, and their team showed up right on time, worked hard, and didn’t cut any corners. They made sure to use weed preventer before laying down the mulch and followed every step to make sure it was done right. The attention to detail was top-notch, and the transformation was impressive. Highly recommend D2 in Cincinnati if you want a crew that’s prompt, thorough, and takes real pride in their work!

Unfortunately, my opinion of this company has completely changed over time. I deeply regret naively trusting that Dave Jackson would stand behind his work if there was a problem after completion.
As stated below, I contracted Dave to convert a waterfall feature (installed by another company) to a bubbler fountain. Over time, the volume of water spilling out from the bubbler got less and less. Doing a little reading and You Tubing told me that the filter was getting clogged. No problem; a filter is pretty easy to clean. So I pulled away some of the rocks in the collection basin to expose the hose and filter apparatus only to find the filter is under a large grate. Inaccessible unless the whole fountain (with many many rocks)is taken apart. It seemed to me to be a pretty big design flaw. 😳
So I phoned Dave and explained my problem. He wanted to see pictures. Sent him pictures. No response. Sent him texts. No response. Caught him with another phone call-I have to come out to assess; I’ll call you back in six minutes. Never called back. I continued to call, text, and email. Reached out to him a total of 8 times. Ghosted. To the tune of $3500 for the original work. For a water feature that I can’t do simple maintenance on or enjoy.
There is another review on here where the work performed failed and Dave never made it right with the customer. Shame on me for not taking that review seriously and shame on Dave for posting on his website that he “prides himself on his dedication to customer service and the time he gives to each client.” Umm, yeah right. Not seeing it. And my wallet is hurting.

I primarily used D2 Landscaping to convert a waterfall feature (installed by another company in 2015 which developed a leak twice) to a bubble fountain.The company was responsive, courteous, and professional. 9I was thrilled that Dave actually answered the phone the first time I called!) I watched the job being done and it looked more simple than I anticipated ( one man working for 6 hours, a few new rocks, only part of a new fountain kit used since the catch basin was already installed) so I do feel I overpaid for the work. However, I’m happy that the dilemma of the leaking waterfall was resolved and I can once again enjoy a water feature in my backyard. I also had a few trees cut down.

Very happy with Dave and his team. D2 built a retaining wall and gravel foundation for me. The price was fair, they communicated well, did great work and we're able to get it done quickly during a very busy time of year. Great experience!
