Called Underground Detective at the recommendation of Basement Worx waterproofing. We had some in our basement because the foundation drain was clogged. Appointment was schedule for the next day and Joe arrived when scheduled. He was joined by another employee, unfortunately I can't remember his name, and together they quickly found the clog. The service is only to put a camera in the pipe and find the clog, but they tried as best they could to dig out the clog with me. We could not dig it out, but they tried. Because of their work I was able to dig in the exact spot and had the water flowing within 20 minutes. I can't say enough about how professional, efficient, courteous and helpful they were. Well done Underground Detective, Joe, and his coworker! Highly Recommended!

Excellent experience with Underground Detective. Extremely courteous throughout the whole process. They showed up early to the job. Inspected my home sewer line and left a detailed report (DVD with narration of where the problems were). They also marked the where the problems were under the crawl space and outside. Had Roto Rooter out prior and their "technician" was unable to get to all of my sewer areas, but still quoted me a job replacing sewer that he could not visualize. Having Underground Detective as a third party helped to alleviate the stress of a company who also does the plumbing work. The employee who showed up was able to look at my whole sewer system without questions and worked hard while here. Highly recommende!

A technician tried to get the camera down through the toilet flange, but told me that it was clogged and I would need to have a plumber "auger out the stack" before Underground Detective could come out again. When the plumber came, he said that the stack is totally clear -- he also couldn't get his camera through the 90 degree angle close to the toilet, but had no problem going through the vent on the roof.

Underground Detective charged me $75 for this bad advice, and using them delayed my project by two weeks.

Total professionals that care about the customer. James came out and got the job done, explaining things throughout the process. From the phone call to schedule the appointment to the work on site, everything was handled perfectly. No need to look elsewhere if you are planning on completing an excavation project—these guys are the way to go.

I cannot say enough about the awesome customer service I received from Jake with Underground Detective. I needed a video scope done for a home I am under contract to purchase and he was able to make it happen the same day by reaching out to his technicians and asking for help. After the technician was there they realized that the main line could not be reached in the traditional way and would have to return with 2 technicians. Underground Detective was closed when I made my desperate call in hopes that they could come back the next day. I was on a deadline to have this scope done within this time frame. I was amazed when Jake call me earlier this evening after speaking to the technician and said that he knew the position I was in and would have someone there to do the scope at 8:00 am the next day!! He was also very fair about the charge since it now became two visits.

Excellent service! Dan called back right away to schedule my appointment and Phil came by and took time to explain my plumbing issues due to tree roots. Phil took great care by showing his underground camera to explain when I did not understand. Simply the best!

Overall, I felt that this company was helpful and recognized my needs per my situation. I had a small job that required just a few feet (30') of ground scanning that would only take about 45 minutes. I was concerned because several competitors had an expensive hourly rate and a minimum time of 2+ hours. These companies also include time to destination. While I recognize good work, I didn't want to pay for a bunch of time and effort that was unnecessary.

Underground Detective has a 1 hour minimum billing time, which worked well for the job at hand. They also worked with me to coordinate a technician to stop by my place on route to another job further reducing cost to me. Ultimately, I paid $400 for one hours time. It's more than I was hoping to pay, but in my case I learned valuable information about my property that I didn't know before. I feel like they understood my situation and worked with me to find a good solution.

Their technician, Jason, was polite, knowledgeable, and presented himself well. Jake was the one phone representative who was willing to graciously help me out given my circumstance.

I would recommend this service.

The Underground Detective is a great company. We used them for our Dental Office that was having a problem with a strong odor. We had contacted other plumbers before and had not been helped. They came in an completed a smoke test for us and promptly found the problem and were able to fix it same day! It was GREAT service experience and we are very happy.The staff is very professional and helpful, they maintained constant communication when scheduling. Thank you Becky for all of your help.

They did not ask me for a review but I wanted to go out of my way to praise these guys. I emailed them through their website requesting for a quote to locate my septic tank. They responded within an hour and we had an appointment setup immediately. They came out on time and located my septic, gave me some advice, and gave me a recording for $230. You can't beat that value. Thanks again!

James M was the tech and he did an outstanding job for us. When we had trouble getting a pipe opened for the see snake he threw in with us and never faltered. He had a terrific "can do" attitude and we could not be any more pleased. We had absolutely no idea where our gas line was but he found it!Thanks again Jim.
