Landscaping reviews in Cleveland Heights, Ohio

Always has great selection of quality plants and shrubbery. Helpful staff.
-
Great local business with helpful people and wonderful products. They do mulch and firewood delivery and do a fantastic job at it.
-
Really great sales and high quality plants and soil ammendments with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Hoping for better native plant selection.

Horrible customer service,
I would hate to think it was because I am AFRICAN AMERICAN. The staff did not acknowledge me, I had to ask for help. I spent over $40.00 would have spent more. Get it together, I go where my money takes me.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE -
Excellent selection of healthy plants and supplies; plentiful and knowledgeable staff.
-
They were very helpful. Even for being short staffed. I was able to get everything I needed. Wonderful nursery for small needs.
-
Vast selection of everything for the garden. Very friendly staff.

Called ahead and asked if they sold native Ohio plants and the person answering said yes, almost all natives. I drove 30 minutes to find out they had three specimens supposedly native. Terribly disappointed. Would not recommend. Staff clearly not well informed.

Great selection of vibrantly healthy, interesting/unique, and reasonably priced plants! Very helpful, friendly staff. However, I would like to see a broader selection of more economic pots, such as terra-cotta and other basics. All in all will be back for plants again!

Terrible customer service experience. My husband and I went to the Cleveland Heights Bremen’s to purchase some plants and a statue for Mother’s Day. We were the only ones shopping, it was not busy. The woman behind the counter was very rude. She was sighing under her breath because we asked a couple questions and unwilling to help us or make eye contact. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Love this garden company, been shopping here for years. The local chain is on Cleveland's East Side, with 4 locations

The customer service at this location is terrible. My family and I have had two really unpleasant experiences now. From now on I will avoid the grumpy workers at Cleveland Heights and make the drive to the Chesterland location.

Bremec has a stronghold on the garden center supply business in Cleveland Heights. Because there are no real competitors very close, they charge as much as possible for most of their plants. So be prepared to pay a pretty penny, but rest assured you will get quality plants for your money. If you order bulk mulch or topsoil, they always hook you up with an oversized load. The quality of the materials is fair, but I prefer Green Builder Supply for mulch, it is a much better product for a comparable price.
The staff in this location is always top notch. If you do not know exactly what you are looking for have a conversation with one of the staff or there are almost always landscape companies coming in and out that you could also ask opinions for your home projects. -
So I bought a house last year that needed a lot of garden/yard work, so this year was the year to work on the flower beds. So far in the last month I bought a beautiful Japanese Maple tree at the Chesterland location, priced half off. From the Heights location I bought a couple hundred dollars worth of perennials/boxwoods all priced half off. I also got bulk topsoil and black mulch delivered, which was delivered on-time and both are of high quality. Both locations have great customer service and run really good specials. Support local and check these guys out.

Bremec has great plants and really helpful staff... But it's just way too expensive most of the time.
The pottery / ceramic choices are pretty good. But... also expensive. -
Arthur and the staff are great. If there's ever a problem, and there seldom is, he and his team will always address it promptly. And the quality of the products they offer (unlike those big box stores) is always first rate.

Be careful when buying plants here.
I had to swap a plant because I found bugs on it after purchase but the replacement ended up developing the same bugs anyways.
I also bought a plant a month ago that immediately started dying when I brought it home despite and employee who told me that it was “a houseplant that’s just needed to be watered once a week”. Lo and behold, there are now a ton of visible bugs on that plant and I had to throw it away as well. I had no other plants in my apartment before this one so the bugs must have come with it from the store.
Overall, it’s really disappointing because they are the closest garden store to me but you just can’t trust that their plants are bug free and well taken care of. Additionally their employees do not seem very knowledgeable (especially the cashiers, one of which literally GOOGLED a plant in front of my after I asked her to tell me it’s name).
There does seem to be one knowledgeable male employee working (an older gentleman) but he’s quite grumpy and does not seem to handle customer service unless forced.
Will be looking elsewhere for plants in the future. -
My girl and I went looking for snake plants and outside pottery, and honestly after my experience if you’re black, don’t spend your money here. I can tell when we’re not wanted.
-
I went to my neighbor location in Cleveland Heights.1st the guy was like following me around so I asked if he works there because he didn’t even ask me if I needed help. Then he (I didn’t get his name) wasn’t knowledgeable about what I was asking about the different plants I wanted.

Well run, pretty and high quality plant stock sums it up. They also have a lot of pottery and statuary . The majority of the plants seem to come from their own nursery. Event though it has a small footprint on a busy road, it really is full service, offering pavers, bulk mulch and topsoil. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have some great sales, so get on the email list.

Experience was quick and easy. Staff reached out to see if I needed help or had any questions. Organized somewhat chaotically but did not take away from the experience. Not a huge selection of house plants which was disappointing but TONS of pots to choose from.
