Landscape Architect reviews in Cleves, Ohio

We had our patio installed by SmithScapes a year ago. The whole experience has been great for us! I highly recommend this organization.

From start to finish, SmithScapes did a great job paving our patio, it has totally transformed our backyard. The workers were punctual and professional and took pride in their work. We couldn't be happier with the results and we would definitely hire them again for future projects.

I made the call to SmithScapes after needing some improvements to my back patio and landscaping. After initially not being happy with an installation of a seating wall and firepit from a different contractor, SmithScapes worked with me to design a much more professional and flowing design of a new seating wall, firepit and foundation stone that really pulled it all together. In addition, their landscaping design around the hardscape provided the finishing touches I was looking for. We enjoy sitting out back most nights and SmithScapes was key in creating that comfortable and professional looking space.

We recently purchased and renovated a home that was built in 1929. The backyard is dominated by a massive oak tree that predates the home by 30-40 years. When we wanted to landscape the backyard, our top priority was “don’t harm the oak tree”. We knew this would really limit our options because any landscape changes would have to be built up, rather than dug down, in order to protect the vast root system of this tree.

We spoke with Brian Smith about our desire to make our backyard a more useful and livable area. He listened to our ideas, and thanks to his years of experience, offered workable options. Together, we developed a plan that protected the oak tree and fit our needs and budget.

As the SmithScapes crew worked, we came to appreciate how experienced and efficient they were. Throughout the project, they were respectful to us and to our property. More importantly, we were impressed with how respectful they were to our neighbors during construction.

We love our new backyard! Brian took it from a useless myrtle-covered eyesore to a relaxing 3-season living space with a view. Now we are able to entertain family, neighbors and friends. We still have options to enhance this space. When that time comes, we will not hesitate to contact Brian and Sarah at SmithScapes.

We had a great experience with Smithscapes for our outdoor living space build. From the original meetings to discuss concepts to design meetings and into the build process they were great to work with. Quality workmanship and excellent value. They kept the worksite clean and tidy throughout. I would highly recommend them. It is truly a beautiful space that we will enjoy for years.

Sarah designed a small patio area for us last summer. Construction began 6 months later which was the exact time frame they gave us. The crew worked very hard for two or three weeks in the dead of winter. Now that the weather is better and we have been able to use the space, it has become our favorite spot to be. They did an amazing job. One glitch regarding something we thought we were getting but turned out not to be part of the original estimate and would be an additional $7k…so that was disappointing, but overall incredibly happy with our experience with Smithscapes and love being in our new outdoor space.

We had the team at Smithscapes do some retaining wall planters and storm drains in our backyard. They did an amazing job. The planters and storm drains turned out great. Everyone we worked with on this project was awesome. I highly recommend Smithscapes Landscape Services for your next project. You won't go wrong.

We have been a SmithScapes customer for many years. They consistently deliver quality service and results. The team always shows up when scheduled and leaves our yard looking home and garden beautiful.

SmithScapes did a phenomenal job installing our back patio, stairs, walkways, and driveway. They handled a very difficult task with speed and precision! The crew was amazingly cordial and flexible with specific requests, and the results were better than expected. We look forward to working with the team again in the near future.

Smithscapes was easy to work with. I was able to make an additional request the day they did the job. Workers were polite and hardworking. I have received compliments on my landscaping.

I couldn't be more happy with the final product provided by SmithScapes. From planning to cleaning everyone was very professional and very communicative. I never felt out of the loop on progress being made or when things might start and be finished. The addition to my backyard will be something that everyone can enjoy. I can not begin to say how many neighbors have already stopped to compliment the work being done and to inquire about getting projects done in their landscaping. I would definitely use SmithScapes for any future landscaping ideas I might have.

SmithScapes was great to work with. Very professional throughout the process. Did a great job and got our project started and finished ahead of schedule.

SmithScapes installed our amazing fireplace and full yard landscaping several years ago. Now we bring them back every year to trim, shape, and mulch. The landscaping remains as beautiful as when it was first planted. Great crew, always respectful and perfect cleanup.

After getting quotes from three other landscape companies I felt most comfortable with SmithScapes who was the second highest bid. I appreciated Brian's (the owner) responsiveness, punctuality, and friendly personality in our first interaction and was very happy that this continued throughout our project. The landscape design that was completed for us was thorough and well-explained and the final product was spot-on to what I was expecting. Our patio looks amazing - all our guests comment on how beautiful our backyard is. This is not to say that the project went flawlessly. To not expect some hiccup on a $50,000 land grading, deck removal, landscaping, paver installation, firepit building, etc. project is unrealistic. However, whenever I did have questions or concerns, Anna-Marie, Allen, or Brian checked on the issue and resolved it quickly and fairly. I would recommend SmithScapes to anyone, residential or commercial, and would use them again for future projects.

Brian and his team did an amazing job landscaping our newly built putt-putt mini golf course. They worked around other contractors and did what was necessary to meet the timelines. If you are looking for a company that is honest, fair and does great work, they are it!

Brian and Todd and their crews did a great job all the way through the process, from selections and getting the proposal together all the way through the final cleanup. Crews were very respectful of our property, cleaned up every day. The pool, deck, landscaping, and patio look great!

We are very happy with the result of our new deck and patio. Their work is very high quality with a lot of attention to detail. Allen, Sarah and Steve were all wonderful to work with. We also found their hardscaping and landscaping crews to be very professional, and they kept an exceptionally clean workspace. I would definitely recommend them to others looking to improve their outdoor living space.

This is the second time we used SmithScapes to create our outdoor living environment!
I continue to be impressed by the creative team’s design of beautiful, functional spaces. From lighting and privacy, to how the space was oriented to watch our beautiful sun sets, every detail was accounted for and masterfully implemented.
Every person we interacted with was down to earth and clearly love their job. The attention to detail from the crew on-site was unmatched. They were friendly, professional, timely, and great at their craft.
The process from concept to completion was flawless and we were always given updated quotes for additions or subtractions from the original scope of work.
You can tell this company takes pride is their work and strives to give their customer a wonderful experience.
Thanks SmithScapes for giving us a truly stunning outdoor space to enjoy year round!
