We had an amazing experience with Gene's Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning! Our furnace stopped working and they came out the very same day. The technician was friendly, quick, and extremely respectful of our home and the work he did. Everything was handled professionally from start to finish. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing heating or cooling service!

Genes installed a new AC unit to our home in 2023, we were on the fence regarding a full unit then and after a few service needs over the years, our furnace bit the dust and just recently got a new finance unit (in 2026) — thanks, Andrew and team! Both installs and maintenance in between were professional, extremely prompt, upfront with pricing, and always with the safety of our family first. Thank you Genes for such awesome staff and service!

In the office, Emily and Erica have been wonderful to work with, friendly, responsive, organized, and always willing to go the extra mile to help coordinate everything we needed.

The technicians, Chris, Matt, Josh, and Dylan who we have worked with, have gone above and beyond to accommodate our needs and resolve a complex zoning issue in our home. They have been out multiple times, not because of anything they did wrong, but because our unit had several underlying issues that needed to be addressed. Each visit, they brought professionalism, patience, and extensive knowledge, ensuring every problem was thoroughly resolved.

Their communication has been outstanding, and their workmanship is some of the best we’ve encountered. What truly sets Gene’s apart is how seamlessly their team works together. The sales guy, Matt Baker, was very honest and straightforward. He explained the process and what to expect. Genes Refrigeration is a good family-owned company that appreciates veterans. There were no surprises. This made me want to do business with Genes Refrigeration. The two installers who showed up were on time, thorough, and very respectful. They answered any questions I had, explained the work they did, and provided further information about servicing and keeping the equipment's warranty up to date. Would definitely recommend Genes Refrigeration to friends and family.

This is my third interaction with Genes and every tech/serviceman we’ve had has been so friendly! Just had them over for hours cleaning our ducts and Mike and Dave were so kind, personable, and really tried to accommodate the flow of my life and were not inconvenienced at all at the fact that I have a 1 year old running around the house tearing it apart. They interacted with her and complimented her (and the cat) the entire time they were here! Wonderful work product and every tech that’s been here has made suggestions, but I never feel like they’re pressuring me to buy something or giving unnecessary recommendations. Super happy with Genes so far!

Highly recommend Gene’s! They sent someone over quickly to diagnose an urgent water leak issue and walk through various other plumbing questions and issues I had. Joey was great! He was patient with all my questions and answered all of them. He was very diligent and thorough with his work. He was extremely respectful of my request to keep my cats out of the basement and he did a great job making sure they didn’t follow him out of the house or jump into the hole in the wall. The work I needed was completely very quickly - I had expected to wait a week or more before all the work could be started, but it was all done the same week even with a holiday. Thank you!

Our furnace went out on a cold February night and the company that usually services our furnace had an appointment 6 days out. With the temperatures well below zero, we needed to find another heating and cooling company. Our neighbor used Gene’s and we gave them a call. The young lady answering the phone was extremely friendly and helpful in making an appointment with a technician to come that afternoon. We needed a new furnace and they were able to install the new unit the next day. Paul and Brett were our installers and did an excellent job installing and explaining the process. We’re grateful that they were able to accommodate us so quickly.

Anthony and Dominic installed a tankless water heater for us. They were extremely courteous and clean. A beautiful installation (mounting, pipe routings, etc). Then Anthony explained everything about the machine and how to maintain it properly. I was very impressed with the entire experience!

I highly recommend this company! All 3 components of my heating/cooling system, the furnace, AC & water tank were over 25 years old. I wasn't sure exactly which one I was going to have replaced 1st before they all quit working. I was 1st going to get the yearly maintenance on my furnace, then go from there, which I did with Dj. DJ was very thorough & found many things that prior companies did wrong. Long story, short, I was able to get all 3 at a fair price & now feel at ease. This new equipment works so much better! The furnace really cranks out the heat & circulates it so much better. Their installers are amazing! Plus, not only do they put bootie covers over their work boots, but also put them on outside with a small carpet they bring before they enter your home, plus lay tarps for taking out the old equipment & bringing in the new. And, the crew, Andrew, Jacob & John were all very courteous & beyond wonderful to work with. Andrew did the main part of the furnace & humidifier installation, plus continued to work with his own lighting system when the power on our whole street happened to go out when they were close to being finished! I am so impressed & very happy with their service! I would actually give this company 10+ stars!!

Chris and Jim did a great job explaining our options with no pressure. They were able to come out same day which was a relief since our furnace was down. In addition the install was completed in one day; seamlessly and smoothly. The installers were professional and very friendly. Daniel was a great help
Getting me to understand the digital thermostat and Andrew accommodated our desire to move an outlet to a different area. Top notch company! Will use again.

Chris was super friendly and very informative for our furnace issue! It was great that they could provide a same day appointment. Now that we know what is wrong, we were given options on solutions. I highly recommend Gene's if you have an emergency issue. We don't feel pressured to decide instantly and I really appreciate that! We will definitely be using them again in the future!

While the product was good, there was a lack of communication between the estimator and installer as to what was actually able to be installed. Face to face the installers were polite and knowledgeable, with the exception of knowing only the very basics of the thermostat and not being able to show me any of the additional features other than telling me to read the instructions and downloading the app. While not around the language was horrible and loud, along with one on their phone a lot, the other in a sleeveless shirt and not presentable at all. I could’ve let all that slide if they had not gotten adhesive, rust stains, and scratches in my new floor of the laundry room. That said, product looks good and works well. However I’ll be canceling my service contract and looking for someone that can offer better customer service.
