Great experience with Thompson Electric today in my home. Kyle was awesome and solved all of our problems. The service was great and it was very fairly priced!

Dan from Thompson Electric just installed a new light fixture in my kitchen. I couldn't be happier. He was great. I don't know about pricing, but it seemed reasonable.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother she needed major repairs on the electrical system in her house that was deemed a fire hazard, Thompson electric sent three professionals, they were punctual very professional and respectful, they quoted 3 days they were done in 3 days, 8:00 a.m. sharp every morning until 3:00 p.m. they took no breaks. I highly recommend them they did a perfect job even cleaned up after their mess,and was happy to answer any questions she had.

Recently bought a new house and the sellers hired Thompson Electric to fix a few things from the inspection. Upon moving into the home a tripped circuit breaker was noticed. After reviewing the receipt from the seller we knew it was a breaker Thompson electric worked on. We called Thompson electric and informed them of the situation. We spoke with Jen who immediately told us it was 125/hr for them to come back. We much would have preferred a conversation starting with coming back to check their work and going from there. We decided to hire a different electrician to review the situation. Well.... BIG SURPRISE within 5 minutes the eletrician said the GFCI breaker was wired into a circuit that shared a neutral with another circuit. He stated this would cause the GFCI to break immediately and found it hard to believe it didn't trip as soon as it was installed(how we found it). We contemplated having Thompson come back to correct it, but seeing as they didn't install it correctly the first time decided against it. The real electrician was able to replace the circuit breaker with a GFCI breaker designed for the situation. Honestly could look past the mistake if Thompson Electric had been more eager to offer coming to check their work as opposed to making sure we knew we'd be paying 125/hr if it wasn't their fault..... which it was.

I highly recommend Thompson Electric for any residential electrical needs. Kyle, one of their electricians, did a great job installing our new vanity lights and installing a surge protector in our home electrical service panel. Thank you Kyle!

I use Thompson Electric for all of my electrical work. When I call for any service they are very friendly and get me scheduled. The repairman do an excellent job. I am President of a Condo Association and they do all of are electric work when we need anything done. Thompson, thank you for doing a professional and excellent job from beginning to end!

Their drivers are endangering people on the road. Observed truck 424, I 75 southbound 9/17/2025 tailgating somebody.

I used Thompson Electric to update Electric Service from top of house and a new panel. Brian Lawrence did an outstanding job for the inspection and quote. The 2 Electricians that performed the work did an excellent job and were very friendly. Since then, they have done work at my daughters house and my Aunts house. In all cases Brian was involved for the quote and inspection and there were different electricians for each job, all did a great job and were very personable.
I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE THOMPSON ELECTRIC !!!

This is the second time we have used Thompson Electric for our lighting installation. First in our living room, hallway, and basement stairway and second in our kitchen with ceiling and under counter lights. Both times the crew was very professional and friendly. Kyle and Tom did a fantastic job recreantly with our kitchen install and we are extremely happy with all of the work done. If you want it done right, go with the Pro's! We highly recommend Thompson Electric for all your electrical needs. You won't be sorry!

We are delighted that we were able to hire Thompson electric to rewire the attic in our century home. Brian went above and beyond to solve various issues we were having, and the price was totally reasonable given the fact that this is high-skill, dangerous work. We were stressed about our outdated and, in some cases, nonfunctional wiring, but now all of our outlets and fixtures work and, more importantly, we have peace of mind. Thank you!

Great experience! Same day service was unexpected but much appreciated. Kyle quickly diagnosed and fixed the minor problem inside the house and then replaced the old, corroded meter box outside. He was very pleasant, careful and worked quickly. We would highly recommend Kyle and Thompson Electric for any residential work.

Exceptional Service from Kyle and Andrew, but Poor Experience from Joe.

I recently had Thompson Electric complete a project at my house, and I have mixed feedback to share. On the positive side, Kyle and Andrew were the technicians who worked on the project, and they were absolutely fantastic! They were professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction. They even identified a potential issue that the original estimator had missed and came up with a better solution, which I greatly appreciated. I was also impressed by their good sense of humor and kindness throughout the project, which made the experience much more enjoyable.

However, my experience with Joe, the original estimator, was quite different. While he was polite and professional during the initial estimate, his behavior changed drastically when he interacted with Kyle and Andrew. He arrived on site with a poor attitude, insulted Kyle and Andrew's work, and even made rude comments about me. Specifically, he said that if I had hit the meter in the driveway, it would have been my problem, which was unprofessional and hurtful.

I want to commend Kyle and Andrew for their exceptional service and dedication to their work. They are a credit to Thompson Electric and deserve recognition for their outstanding performance. However, I hope the company takes my feedback about Joe seriously and addresses his behavior, as it was unacceptable.

Overall, I would recommend Thompson Electric for their technical expertise and professionalism, but hope they will take steps to ensure their estimators provide the same level of service as their technicians.

Thompson Electric did a fantastic job upgrading our electric service. Everyone we interacted with from office, to consultation, the guys, and the follow-up support - couldn’t have been a better experience. Would absolutely hire again for our next project.

Trent was knowledgeable, courteous and did an exceptional job! Better than I could have hoped for! I highly recommend this company and Trent specifically.

We have had Thompson out for a few jobs now and have been pleased with their customer service, quality and cost. We would recommend and I just scheduled them for additional upgrades we need to make. Jobs included new ceiling fans, additional outlets and new switches as well as replacement lighting.

So, we were redoing our back patio, in the process, an electric wire was nicked, causing partial power outage in our home (including, lights/power in half of our rooms as well as all of our large appliances (dryer, oven, and air conditioner)
We called Thompson Electric and was immediately placed on the schedule (initially is was out a week for the call so we asked to be placed on their cancellation list - during this time we also called into 3-other Electrical contractors- that we never heard back from)
We were called 1-day later by Thompson stating they had a cancellation and they had a technician available to come out that day.
The technician, Kyle, was wonderful, was able to locate and correct the problem, also answering several other questions that I had on our system. He waited for the Ohio Edison staff to come out and reestablish full power to ensure that in fact the problem was fixed and there were no other issues, he waited until I turned back on the 240 fuses in our fuse box, ensured the dryer was heating and that the air came on without any issues.
I cannot thank them enough, and would highly recommend them for electrical needs, and will definitely have them on speed dial for any of our future needs, will also ask for Kyle to return, he was knowledgeable, efficient, and provided great customer service, getting our electric restored!!

Trent from Thompson Electric came out today to wire our electric heater for our garage and he did an outstanding job! He was super nice and his work was incredibly neat and tidy — their solution was far better than any other electricians we received quotes from, and they were also hundreds of dollars less expensive. Trent even went above and beyond to make the wiring seamless and clean. We’ve definitely found our new go-to electrician for all future projects.

Blocked my driveway for hours. Employees are literally sitting in the trucks on their phones. As of writing this theyre still blocking me in. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Absolutely disrespectful.

Edit: What was ridiculous was the fact that they not only blocked my driveway but the entire road for hours with no notice. I missed a doctor's appointment that day due to your companies negligence to follow the law and respect the communities that theyre working on. Next time I see you guys parked illegally infront of my driveway I'll be contacting the police. I do hope this a learning lesson to follow local ordinances and to park legally.
