We started using Federal Elite in 2015 and were very happy with their service. So happy that we signed up for their preventive maintenance program. After several scheduled maintenance calls we started having problems with our unit being able to cool our home in early spring 2016. They made several attempts to fix it which included welding a cracked line. This would work for about a week and then they would come put some dye and Freon in to determine where the leaks were. This happened several times, some of which would be only Freon to keep it going until they were able to come back out. At the same time our carbon monoxide detectors started going off randomly and unannounced to me all of the Freon was leaking into our home where I live with my wife and two small children. During this time we experienced headaches, dizziness and a coughing spells. Our six year old was taken to the doctor for throat pain, ear pain and a cough during this time. Finally they replaced the line and it all of our symptoms went away. At this point they told me “the previous company” had bypassed our pressure switch causing our compressor to go out. I then requested to speak to the owner. I got the runaround from his office before finally being contacted by him. I asked him why the bypassed pressure switch was not caught on any of the maintenance they performed and of course there was no answer to this. I informed him of the issue with the Freon and told him, we would not pay to fix the unit. At this point he agreed that if I were to pay the cost of the compressor ($1000.00) he would not charge us for the previous trips and this would fix the problem. A week or so later we were having problems again. I tried to contact the owner and was told he was in the hospital. His service manager than came out, now he said it was a problem with the outside loop, it was too short? This is on a unit we had put in 5 years ago that has always functioned fine and passed several of his service inspections. His office then told me they would do no more until I paid the $1,000.00 for a part that did not fix the problem. They gave me a quote of $8500.00 with no guarantee to replace the loop. Finally after speaking with his office several more times and threatening not to pay until I spoke with the owner, he finally called me for the second time. I asked for a summery and quote in writing but never received one. I sent his office a reminder a few day later and still nothing. I will say everyone they sent to my home was very nice and professional although in my opinion his management team and office staff leave a lot to be desired. This has been an extreme inconvenience and cost us countless trips (I would guess 20+) and an unacceptable amount of lost work hours. We own a service based company and have an understanding of the time and effort they put into this but have no understanding of the lack of communication and disregard for our time, and especially the danger they put our family into by continually pumping Freon into a leaking unit and in turn into our home.

They worked on my oil burner furnace in 2021 and got it running, but still has problems,but this review is about a quote that I was supposed to get for a complete new system. Their guy already got all the information he needed and had to work up a quote for me to take a look at, and can't even get a call back.I guess they are to busy and don't need my business. Operating a business like that just might run it into the ground. I will take my business elsewhere. Do Not recommend.

At a time when I was completely stressed out, Elite came to the rescue! Hot, uncomfortable and unsure about what was happening with my AC unit, a sympathetic woman named Christine quickly reacted to my problem at a time when they were overwhelmed with business. A tech named Cory Bible came to the rescue. Cory was incredibly courteous and instantly made me feel comfortable; he treated me like a friend. He set straight to work evaluating the situation. He took the time to explain what was going on, and how the situation could be addressed, and handled it quickly and efficiently. He also explained how to look for possible issues going forward. He gave me a business card so I could call on him if I had any subsequent issues. Thank you so much, Cory! You truly are an asset to your employer. Elite is lucky to have a professional, knowledgeable and considerate tech like you. Thanks for everything Elite and Cory!

Paul C did a great job to resolve our HVAC leak for a quick resolution. Appreciate him driving after hours from over an hour away on our behalf.

If it wasn't for the nice technician during the diagnostic this company would not be getting any stars. He was very thorough and explained everything.The diagnostic was the same day as we called. After the diagnostic on Thursday morning we were told that a salesman would be out Thursday afternoon. Then he called Thursday afternoon and said he'd be out Friday at 7pm. But he never showed up or called and I am writing this review Tuesday evening. Keep in mind my AC went out in August and time is of the essence. When they didn't show up or call Friday I decided to call Creative Air Saturday and I now have a new AC unit on Tuesday. Federal Elite will be getting no more business from me and I will now be recommending everyone to Creative Air where they care about people's time and taking care of their customers.

Corey was AMAZING!! I had issues with my Nest thermostat. Corey came within an hour of my call (he drove 45 minutes to get to my house), diagnosed the problem accurately and heated my house quickly. VERY professional, kind, informative, intelligent and personable. High quality service and a high quality professional. I highly recommend Federal Elite Heating and Cooling Inc. and Corey. Cory arrived on time and took the time to help me understand my heat and cooling system. He explained in detail how to get the best efficiency of the system and made me comfortable when I ask probing questions. I would highly recommend Federal Elite Heating and Cooling.

Our home warranty company referred us to Federal Elite for some issues that we were having with our HVAC system. I’d never heard of them prior to this, but was pleasantly surprised when they contacted us the same day to schedule on a Friday evening. We had two technicians, Ben and Shawn, working on the job for the better part of a day. They were so kind and diligent. We had just moved into our house and the AC unit we have is 39 years old and had seen much better days. There was a lot to be done and they did fantastic work for a great price. Not to mention, they took great care in cleaning up afterwards. I’m sure this unit hasn’t looked and worked this great in decades!

Our air conditioning unit went down over the weekend and our normal HVAC guy was on vacation, so he referred us to Federal Elite. We’ve had several bad experiences with other heating and cooling companies through the years- they always tried to upsell us on services.

From start to finish, Federal Elite was top notch. They were able to get us scheduled for the same day! Our technician, Cory was amazing. He was friendly, efficient and did not try to upsell anything.

We were pleased with the service we received from the team of Josh & Paul from Federal Elite Heating & Cooling, Inc. They were professional, polite, & personable. Josh & Paul continued to problem solve until a workable solution to our humidifier situation was solved. Highly would recommend this company.

Unfortunately, I am leaving this review as Federal Elite Heating and Cooling is, in my opinion, not acting in good faith. A thermostat wire was ran a number of years ago by this company, which violates building code. I called about a month ago to have them come out to assess, today I received a follow-up call that they could come and look but I would have to pay a charge for that assessment. I personally do not think that is appropriate given the circumstances. I did not plan to leave a review but I now feel as though this is my only option.

Matt, Christine and Cory were very professional throughout a difficult compressor replacement process due to a unique geothermal unit in our home. They were very responsive, very transparent and treated us as a valued customer in every way. We give them and Federal Elite our highest recommendation.

My furnace loves to act up at inconvenient times. These technicians are polite and respectful and Corey even drew me a great diagram of what was wrong.

Federal Elite Hearing & Cooling is so surprising in that they seem to have a knack for hiring excellent techs and office staff too. Surprising because when was the last time you felt valued as both a customer and a human being? It’s been a while, right? (Sad to say). They keep their word in any interactions we have had; so refreshing! Today Paul did a follow-up on a previous system check and he couldn’t have been more personable and courteous. And shout out to Christine in the office who helped by giving me almost instant service! If you are looking for a quality HVAC company, Federal Elite should definitely be a company to consider!
