Happened to be home for the day, called on the spur of the moment and was guaranteed same day service. Many thanks to Tina for arranging that and to Kevin for prompt and professional service. We have been using Downs for over 30 years and have ALWAYS appreciated the quality and professionalism we have been provided. This is a great example of a friendly, knowledgable, family business that takes pride in their work.

I have been having septic problems. I called and asked to please send someone out who knew the area and was experienced. I gave them all the information about the property. They showed up for five minutes then said there was nothing they could do. They informed me that I needed to called the water department of Portage county because they do not know the rules of Portage county because they do not service out there. I paid the service fee because I was grateful for the information. However the information led nowhere and I am back at square one and out $95 for a five min visit for them to tell me what I already told them about the problem. When I called to complain they told me they would call back. They did but I missed the call and they left no message. Then I called and they didn’t answer the phone. I finally receive a callback just for them to tell me they service Portage county with some of their services but not all. This information should have been told to me in the beginning when I explained the situation. Terrible company would not use again.

I can’t say enough about Down’s Septic and Drain. Dustin and Zach came out and helped figure out what happened. This is the 3rd time we have used them in the last year and a half. They give exceptional customer service. I tell everyone I know to call them if they need help.

Jake and Dustin were amazing to work with. They saved us THOUSANDS when we were told we needed a new system. They came out and proved to us the working condition of our system and even were able to identify the type of system while others always told us unknown due to age. We are so thankful for them and will always use Down's Septic. Thank you!

Called and got a same day appointment to pump out my septic system. Eric the service guy was fantastic. I just bought the house this year and did not know anything about septic. Eric took his time and answered all my questions. Will be using them again.

We've had Downs Drain Cleaning Services clean our septic tanks now for over 20 years! They come out every two years and do a thorough job for our house and many other neighbors on our street. They are a strong family run business that takes pride in their work. They are both professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them!

Called Downs to get my septic tank pumped out. Total was $550. Nothing additional, just pumped one tank. Guy was nice enough, but the price is twice what others in the area are charging. My leach field is backing up and when I had another company come service it, they asked when I last had it pumped. Told them how much and they laughed and said they are currently charging $275-300. Call someone else.

I though that way about them when they helped me get my system up to code. After yesterday I have nothing but good things to say about your company and the people that work there!!
Even the lady that answers the phone she is kind when she assures the phone. She explains things if she can't get one of the guys, takes your name and number WITH OUT an attitude, and has them guys call back in a very timely manner.

Back in May we scheduled them to come out and look at a yard drain that was clogged. On the day they were to come out they said they would be there between Noon and 4:00. After waiting on them they called at 4:30 to say they would be unable to make it. I called back to reschedule and they came out on June 8. After trying to clear the drain, the workers informed us that the drain was going to need to be replaced. They took some measurements and told us the owner would get back with us regarding a price to complete the work. After waiting a couple of weeks, I called back to check on it. The gentleman that answered the phone said he would “call me right back”. It is now July 9 and we have not heard from them. Obviously they don’t need or want the business. Customer service is definitely not a priority with them.

It's been a rainy year so far and we were concerned about blockage or potential collapse of the foundation drains etc. They came to our home and within 30 minutes did a video inspection of the drains and downspout drains to confirm that there were no issues with the drainage system.

Had a backed up storm drain, and they came out the next day and jetted it for me in about 10 minutes. Very pleasant guys to work with! Extremely happy with the responsiveness and professionalism. You have my future business, and I'll recommend you to my friends.

Called company in morning regarding backed up drain in basement. Justin and TJ were out within 3 hours. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable and quickly had my problems resolved. EFREM came and pumped my septic tank was quick and explained and showed me what he done. Was freindly and his backup to my house was excellent. Have used Downs for many years . My go too for allmy plumbing and septic needs.

Called Down Septic in the early spring, they came out on a very snowy day and made the professional decision to not back down our steep icy driveway. Called them back in June, we were scheduled quickly and the truck showed up a little early on the day scheduled. Ted did the service, he was very nice and took time to explain what he was seeing and what he was doing. He even took a minute to look at a concern I had with our septic mound, which was not part of the original call, and recommend a course of action. He took the time to understand our water usage rate and recommend a follow-up timeline, and showed me exactly how to monitor my system monthly in the interim. Extremely happy with the service I received, will be calling them again for all future septic services.

My husband and I were in need of repair to our aging outside drain pipes. Downs Drain & Septic did an outstanding job. Every single employee who came to our house to assess the situation and resolve the problem was amazing! Special thanks to Darryl, Gwyn, Jake, Dave and Jerry. These seasoned professionals showed up on time, were delightfully pleasant and replaced our pipes with great care and skill. And to top it off, the price was reasonable! I would not hesitate to use Downs Drain again in the future.

We have used Downs for 30 years. The men are always respectful and do a good job. But this will be the last time. Recently they were bought out by Wilson Plumbing and Heating and things changed from a family owned business to more corporate. Unfortunately Gail has an attitude and abrasive nature making it difficult to talk to. They charge way more now. Look for a reputable company with personable staff.

Recently bought by Wilson's. Now I can't get my urgent septic issue addressed for a WEEK. The old Down's never made me wait more than a day or two. NO LONGER DOWNS SEPTIC

I can no longer recommend Downs Septic - I don't know what's happened to your company. Perhaps it's because you've been acquired by Wilson's Heating and Plumbing. It started about a year ago when I asked for a quote with leaking risers. I was told that I needed to put in french drainage and reslope my property. The quote was for $4,100. I had the septic risers fixed for under $600 by another company, and it fixed my issue.

Then, after an inspection by your company, nothing was noted. But I noted large standing water in my septic leach field (far up from my tanks). So I called Downs out to look at it and although I had a maintenance agreement, was charged $100 for them to tell me that it was either a break or a blockage and that it would cost $1,000 to scope it. That was common sense. What a total waste of a visit. After that encounter, I had another company come out and give me sound recommendations (and was not charged).

Now I get a bi-annual visit last week. I am on a current contract and then was billed for a new contract when my contract goes through March 2024. This is a written, public notice to cancel any follow-on services after this current contract expires. I do not want to renew services with your company and for all those reading this review. Take it into heavy consideration before you enter under contract with this company for anything.

Also note that you can leave a message through their website but you can't reply to their email addresses as I tried to send them a copy of my maintenance agreement. You can only call them.
