Gorgeous flowers, plants & vegetables with a large selection. For the most part very reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly & polite. So far never had anyone be rude in there. I like that they don't hover & press you to purchase something. Definitely recommend & will return. Definitely way bigger than it looks. Quality, value, variety & price is better than most box stores.Highly recommend!

Last year, several vegetable plants probably 10 plants. We're miss marked form what they actually were and what I actually wanted to grow. I was unaware of the miss marking, and did not get to grow some of the key plants. I wanted in the vegetables. They were uh, something far different. Then what I saw on the labels. And they said that this year there was a problem with mismarking of the plants, but did not make it a priority to
Notified to the patrons that shop there for the plants that they want to grow. I was extremely upset at the end of the year when I did not see the plants fruit. That was not good what I purchased. The owner didn't make good on it but still, I did not have what I wanted to grow last year. And uh I made the mistake of buying more there. This year and was told that they had a problem again with mismirking of plants. I what's under the impression that they grow their own vegetable plants for sale and find out that they do not. I then went to the garden spot on route fourteen and bought some gorgeous, beautiful plants that were large and healthy. And a lot of the plants from battaglias, this year, we're pretty much several of them were no more than just starter seedlings very small. Please be aware of what you buy. Because most likely, it was mislabeled, and that is per the owner that some of them they found were mismirked.

This year, 2025, that's a chicken. Boy no pass the owner of battaglias, replaced the miss marked plants from last year and my sweet girlfriend thought she was helping out. By purchasing other plants, there for my vegetable garden. Again, the world's worst plants I've ever seen in my life. Half of them died or are dying, and I pried myself on my garden, controlling the ph. Organic fertilizer, everything, one hundred percent correct. But again, I would not buy anything from Battaglia's garden center. They have the world's worst plants, which is so bad. They're plants, it's embarrassing for them to sell them. And again, if you want top notch high quality, great vegetable plant starters, you must go to the garden spot on route 14. You will get locally grown plants and exactly what you buy. You will get and they grow amazingly, compared too battaglia's, or anybody else. I personally would never buy anything. And Battaglia is again, absolutely the worst of the worst, and now it's going to start the Obama, and it's sickening that they sell Miss marked plants. Every single year and it's not a big deal to them. So please do yourself a favor and go to the garden spot and buy your vegetable plants. You will be very, very happy and we'll be amazed with the output. I commend the owner family owned and the greatest people. Do you ever want to meet and the most honest.
So, if you want the best go to the garden spot. If you're looking for mediocre, are garbage plants, go to Battaglia's and shame on you. If you do that, the garden spot is the only place to buy your vegetable plants and everything else because they certainly do deserve it.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Even if they don't have what I need they'll tell me where I can get it. It's well worth the drive from 4 towns away.

Every time I have gone to Bataglias I have not been disappointed. I am always amazed that they have just what I cannot find elsewhere. They are very knowledgable.

Bought 2 Monrovia seaside serenade Hydrangea plants. Very healthy looking but pricey. $ 96.28 for both but I really liked the way they looked. Very healthy

I was impressed when I went in. It was the first time that I had been there. The plants all looked healthy and beautiful. Staff was friendly. I went back a second time to purchase more flowers and vegetable plants.

Our yard has significantly improved over the past year since Portage Turf began treating it. I appreciate them communicating when they’re coming as well. I appreciate them not rushing through the job and tearing up the grass as other companies have in the past.

I signed up with Portage Turf on January 10th 2024 spending $426.49.

I have a new yard and I wanted them to help it grow and flourish.

9 months later I have had 4 "services" and my yard looks okay but not as lush and green as my neighbors. I have called several times telling them I am not happy.

I have a stone pathway in the back yard and noticed that it was cracked and several stones had been displaced. My neighbor told me that he watched the technician drive the big fertilizer machine over the path. My neighbor has a similar path and it also has damage.

I showed the damage to the last tech to service my yard and he agreed that the cracks matched the width of the machine. He said he would report it to his office. I have not heard back from Portage Turf, in fact I have never been contacted by Portage Turf other asking me to recommend them to a neighbor or to review them.

Their machines sometimes leave holes in the grass where they spin the machine around.

After looking at the emails from Portage Turf detailing the service performed, I see they don't send the same technician every time to work on the yard. I would believe that having the same technician every visit would provide a better service as they would know the yard and what it looked like on their previous visit.
