I have used Portage Turf for the last 2 years and I must say they have done an amazing job adding life to my lawn. The previous vendor I had for 10 years did not satisfy my lawn needs. I would often have to contact them to come and re-treat my lawn, because of weeds and dandelions. I don’t have that issue with Portage Turf. Truly pleased!!!

We had another local company string us along and then tell us there was nothing they could do for us because we have “undesirable grass.” Portage Turf not only gave us a super quick estimate, without mentioning our “undesirable grass,” they also got us scheduled right away, were super fair and incredibly friendly!
Fast forward two years, our grass, including a very large dirt patch that couldn’t even grow weeds, looks incredible! They’re always on time. Our main guy, Bill, takes his time and I can tell he really cares. My husband will tell you over and over: it’s worth every penny!!

A few years ago I had an infestation of ground ivy in my yard. Ground ivy is very difficult to get rid of. I tried myself for a couple of years but it kept coming back. I hired a lawn service to take care of my lawn with the specific instructions that they must get the ground ivy under control. It was worse after a year. Walking thorough my neighborhood I looked at which lawns looked better and saw they were being serviced by Portage Turf Specialists. I contacted them about taking care of my lawn and especially the ground ivy problem. Portage Turf got rid of the ground ivy in one year and the lawn has never looked better. I've used them for several years now. They are very responsive to any issue. I've had small patches of ground ivy pop up every now and them. I let them know and they address it specifically very quickly. They do a great job of keeping the lawn in good shape.

My lawn has never looked as good as it does now. We have been in this house 34 years. Over the years I have taken care of lawn and have had a number of other companies doing the service with OK results.
I was told of Portage Turf Specialists from a current user and thought why not.
They have been improving my lawn noy for 4 or 5 years and it has never looked better.

Portage Turf is a great resource for lawn care. They really care about your lawn and your satisfaction.Field employees are all helpful and friendly. They do not rush the service but make sure the work is done thoroughly. The owner and office responds to questions or concerns in a very timely manner. I will never switch. I have recommended them to others and they all feel the same way.

Portage Turf is one of the best lawn care companies I have ever used. They are extremely knowledgeable and always show a sincere interest in making your lawn look its best. They are also great with all of our shrubs and trees on the property. Don't even think twice! They are great!

Really appreciate John's communication, knowledge, and commitment to excellent service. We had a terrible Wasp and Hornet problem last year and this year it's amazing we're Wasp, Hornet, and Carpenter Bee pest free. Previous owners had an ant and rodent problem, all gone, no bugs. I’ve used Portage Turf for about 1 1/2 years, I think they have shown up on the scheduled day 1 out of 6 times. They told me they would be at my house Friday and I should not cut the lawn for 24 hours after application, I busted my ass to cut the lawn Thursday, once again a no show on scheduled day.

Portage Turf has got it all together. After only two applications, my grass is the best it ever looked. I have done it for years using scotts and extra nitrogen plus more weed control. I still fought crabgrass every year. But now there is no sign of crabgrass and the weeds are diminished. GREAT JOB PORTAGE TURF!!!

Lee was here on Friday, 5/30 to apply spring fertilizer and insect
protection. He also noted that there was fungus in the grass and reported it to me. He told me he would deal with it throughtout the course of my lawns treatment this year and he also treated my lawn with nutrients. Lee was very personable and we spoke for several minutes to review my lawn. He has good knowledge of the soil in my community and has treated other neighbors in the area. I was very pleased with his performance.

My most recent visit by Matt from Portage Turf exceeded expectations. He called while enroute and ETA was spot on. He got right to work on a follow-up call and new exactly what to do to address lawn issue. He went out of his way to give me some lawn care advice, spread some grass seed to repair damaged grass from another contractor and offered to kill some sidewalk and driveway weeds bordering my yard. He was friendly, professional and set the gold standard in yard care in my book. Job well done!

I have only been using Portage Turf since last fall but my lawn already is looking great. Can't wait to see where it is in a couple of years. Nothing but praise for this company.

Portage Turf is hands down the best lawn treatment service company around. Their customer service is truly like no other company I have used. We communicate regularly about what services I actually need and what would benefit my yard. Other companies come dump product in 10 minutes with little care and happily charge me. So far so good! I can't tell you how many different lawn care companies my wife and myself have been through over the last couple of years but so far, Portage Turf has been fantastic. They really care about the customer and their needs. The communication aspect of having a lawn care company is a top priority for me and Ryan has been fantastic! They've done a great job, they've given plenty of notice before coming out so I can make sure the yard is prepped and ready, and they give a detailed description of the work they've done and what they recommend to be done.
