Used Great Lakes Electrical to have some garage lights installed. The electrician, John, straightened out some potential hazards with the previous wiring job and tied the lights into a wall mount switch. Very professional and thorough.

We had extensive damage to our home due to Toledo Edison mistake - these gentleman replaced our 200amp home panel, 100amp garage panel and our external meter in less than 10hrs. These technicians took the time to explain all that needed to be done, were polite and courteous throughout the process. My family and I had to stay in a hotel for the evening and we 100% trusted them on our property while we were away. I could NOT recommend Great Lakes more for their professionalism, punctuality and expertise during the process and they will 100% get additional business from us. Thank you to Alastair and Elijah for your hard work and for coming back to test each outlet after Edison established power back to our property. Ryan and Tyler came out today to perform 3 tasks - upgrade kitchen undercabinet lighting, replace attic thermostat and move/replace attic fan switch as well as trouble shoot outlet that was not hot. They were courteous, professional yet engaging, great listeners and did an amazing job. I have used Great Lakes Electrical before and everyone they send out is great and well trained. GLE was originally recommended to me by a commercial electrician who is a neighbor. Great job Gregg!

If I could give them 6 stars , I would. I sent a customer to them last week because they were experiencing power outages in random spots throughout their home. This customer asked me for a referral for a great electrical contractor and Great Lakes is my go to. After this customer called and explained the situation to Valerie, her experience told her that it was a Toledo Edison issue and she gave them contact information to get ahold of them. Valerie took it upon herself to call back multiple times that day to make sure the issue was resolved, and it was! I have worked with Great Lakes for many years and will continue to do so because of service like that and the combined experience of the entire team. Thank you, I appreciate you.

We had some electrical work done in our garage. This company came recommended by another contractor and they did a GREAT job! Very easy to schedule with, up front about pricing, answered all my questions regarding different possibilities for what we needed. The crew was on time, fast, and very respectful of our home.

Great Lakes completed wiring my new house and garage in 2024. The work was completed on time and the employees were considerate, timely and cleaned work areas when done for the day. The cost was very reasonable and the field manager checked in with me often to see if I had any issues with their work. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Ran into a situation where our business lost AC due to some electrical damage. Cruz and Marty were able to quickly and efficiently correct our issue. We now have AC in the high heat of summer. Additionally, the cost came in under what was anticipated, always a plus. Thanks, Guys!

Thanks to Great Lake Electrical. I called on a Sunday about a GFI issue I could not figure out on a new build GLE had completed 2 years previously. I left a message. I received a call early the next morning. John Craley was in the area and came that afternoon to fix the issue. He went over and above even completing an electrical issue I was working on in another part of the house. All was repaired and cleaned before he left. Thanks again for your quick response and expertise.

Jason and Eli were our techs and did a fantastic job! They were very respectful, quick, explained everything in a way that I could understand, and cleaned up better than before they were here. We will definitely be using great lakes for more of our future electrical needs!

They installed whole house generator in Sept 2024 and can’t say enough good things about the company from the estimator, installers and all the behind the scene support staff in the office.
Once we signed the contract to install, we didn’t have to do anything. They did everything from paperwork with Generac, city permits, inspections and everything else that needed to be done. Installation crew was on time, courteous, worked well together and very professional…one day install. Both final inspections were scheduled, city came out and both passed. Also, cost was very reasonable and scheduled in a timely manner. Thank you for everything!

Maxx and Nate came to my house and replaced a large number of outlets. They were on time and very professional. Would highly recommend for any electrical work you might have. We would definitely use them again.

If you have electrical issues or need repair, call GREAT LAKES ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING. I had a tenant contact me today with a major electrical problem at my rental. After checking it out, I realized it was beyond my expertise, so I called four different companies and ended up leaving messages. The fourth company I called was Great Lakes and, get this...I actually spoke with an employee, not an answering service or some automated text. Anyway, Noah and his co-worker, Nick, from Great Lakes, gave me an estimated time of arrival and they were there, on site, as promised. Note that it's 8 hours since I made those calls and I haven't heard from any of the other companies!
Anyway, the issue ended up being outside with the wiring from the service drop to the meter of which they replaced in no time. Noah and Nick are true assets to this company and I will use GREAT LAKES ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING in the future for any electrical needs.

Max was here to update our electrical panel.
We had issues with partial power. He was quick to troubleshoot and fix the problem.
He was very professional and did a great job.

Service was Great. Came out earlier then time window 👍, Matt and Nate were Great, cordial and completed work in timely manor!! Repair my kitchen light fixture which went to only lighting very dim. Very pleased. Would definitely call them again.

I bought an older house a few years ago that was very "DIY" and last night when I turned on my dishwasher, my worst fear came to life. Sparks starting shooting out from the wall. We killed the breaker and immediately called great lakes and Mike Harley was there within a half hour, no easy feat at 930 at night Thanksgiving week. Mike found the problem within about 10 minutes ( a problem I should add that a previous electrician from another company couldn't figure out about a year ago and supposedly "fixed") and rewired a whole new setup behind the dishwasher within about an hour. We were literally blown away by their professionalism and quick response. So much so that I will be calling today to schedule a time for them to come look at the rest of the wiring in my house, something that now more than ever I want done. Can't say enough good things about this company and Mike, couldn't be happier! With having a vacation planned in two day on top of the holidays, I was beyond relieved to be able to have the issue addressed before leaving town. Thanks again!

UPDATE: I was lucky enough to have Mike again to do the follow up work rewiring my crawlspace and him and Kadin did incredible work! Always friendly and professional, they clearly make a great team and got it done faster than expected. I will forever use this company, thank you again!!!

I just had Great Lakes come today to address some flickering of lights I was experiencing. Tyler and Isaiah were very professional and did a wonderful job! They were here very promptly in the morning. They both cleaned up before they left. Two great guys to have on your team!

From the first call Great Lakes was easy to work with. I had an estimator call me to set up an appointment but I was going to be traveling for work and could not meet with them before work needed done. The estimator was flexible and offered to still schedule a crew for an hourly rate plus materials. He was also nice enough to give me a potential ballpark range to expect. On the scheduled day of service, Shane and Kurt from Great Lakes showed up on time to hook up a hot tub for me. They were fast, clean and efficient. I feel they went above and beyond in their service and if their work is indicative of the typical service to be expected then I would recommend and use Great Lakes again in the future.

Max and Nate were very friendly, professional and attentive. Max and I brainstormed for 2 days to solve an issue my wife and I had and Max finally came up with a wireless light switch. Problem Solved!
