Great Lakes Electrical Contracting is the best! We would highly recommend them if you are ever in need of quality electricians! We had a very serious issue in our backyard causing us to have no electricity to our sub-panel. This panel powers our pool equipment and entire backyard. With summer fast approaching we were desperate for some help. When we first started looking for an electrician, we had no idea where to start. We called a few that did come to our house and each one did not even bother troubleshooting, they just said you need a new main line. The quotes were extremely high priced, leaving us helpless and having no idea what to do next. I am so glad we didn’t stop looking because we found Great Lakes Electrical Contracting from a simple Google search. We liked that they were a local business so we called them. When they came for the service call they listened to us and let us explain the issues we were having. Rather than just assume we need a whole new line, they actually got shovels and started digging to find the issue! It didn’t take them long at all and they figured out exactly where the break was and said they could fix it. We were ecstatic! They fixed the issue, saved our summer and I am happy to say we are opening the pool this weekend! This review isn't even enough to show the gratitude we feel for them helping us. In this day and age when everything is already so expensive and you feel like you are getting overcharged all of the time, it is so refreshing to have an honest, business to call. They were professional, hardworking, dependable, and affordable. I will recommend them each and every time someone asks if I know a good electrician. We are extremely grateful to Great Lakes Electrical Contracting and we especially want to thank Noah and Eli that did the work and fixed our issue.

They perfectly fixed three jobs which had not been done properly by another company previously. I so appreciated their work, I now have plugs that can actually be used again. Thank you so much!

We experienced a power outage in a part of our home. Reading testimonials from other customers prompted us to call Great Lakes. Tony and Tyler arrived at the time scheduled and tracked down the problem quickly. Their friendly professionalism was top notch. Tony and Tyler did an outstanding job of representing Great Lakes. Thank you, Great Lakes Electric, for the fast and professional service! While we were having some yard work done, our engineered pump tank line was damaged. John came out the same day and had it replaced quickly. With two little kids at home, the quick response meant a lot to us. We really appreciated the help—highly recommend!

Great Lakes was great! Jim provided the original estimate, and helped to oversee the project. Brian and his team spent a day and an half installing a new panel in our new home as well as handling several smaller issues. Jason and Adam followed up a couple of days later to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Throughout, everyone that we encountered was courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to answer our questions.

The work was well done, quick, and reasonably priced. We would recommend Great Lakes without reservation!

Maxx and Nate did a great job installing several light fixtures in our home. Skilled and thorough, and communication was great with the 2-man crew. They encountered a snag with the company's initial estimation of installing a certain light fixture, but Maxx offered a suggestion that allowed us a smoother, more economical way for us to get the job done. Overall, we'd call on Great Lakes Electrical Contracting again for future projects.

Just called twice for an estimate on two properties. 1:46p Jessica answered and informed me estimates are not available. Only service calls at $200/hr and technicians will fix the issue onsite... Checked the website (see photos) states FREE ESTIMATES. 1:54p Called back after checking the website to confirm an estimate to install a light fixture at the garage door (where there is existing electricity) also does not qualify for the website indicated free estimate. Jessica confirmed her prior answer the aforementioned work also does not qualify for a free estimate. Website also indicates "storm damage and insurance work", but I didn't have the opportunity to inquire as Jessica was quick to decline my request(s) for estimates.

Great Lakes Electrical Contracting , thank you so much for sending me Gordon and Gunner to perform the electrical work at the back of my house today. These two young men were very professional, courteous, and may I add quite knowledgeable of all aspects of the electrical work performed. Gordon and Gunner both answered all of my concerns and questions regarding the new wiring installed today. I would like to see both of them get a special bonus since they eased my high anxieties of getting my electricity reconnected without a hitch. The three of us went around the interior of my house to see that everything was working properly, even the outside lights by the garage and porch. Gordon and Gunner , you were both outstanding today !!

Marty and Ian just did a very clean 100 to 200 amp service upgrade on a commercial building as well as fixed a number of problems left by the previous contractor. Very impressed with the speed and quality and Cruz is one hell of a customer service rep. Would absolutely work with these fine gentlemen and this fine company in the future.

Great Lakes Electrical came to our rescue when we had a serious issue with wiring. They got us set up temporarily so that our business could operate safely until our service could be upgraded. Cruz kept us updated with each step along the way and Marty and Ian did a great job getting the work done. They were professional, prompt, efficient, and they cleaned up after themselves! Mike with Great Lakes replaced our bedroom ceiling light fixture with a combo light/fan. Did a great job: quick, courteous, left the area clean, for a very reasonable price.

I needed a panel upgrade and sub panel installed and got a few quotes from companies around. From the beginning, Great Lakes was incredibly professional and were able to answer all of my questions. Noah and Eli were the electricians that worked on my project and they were incredibly professional for the duration of my project, also were able to answer my questions throughout, were kind and courteous to not only myself and my family, but my home as well. I will absolutely be using Great Lakes for future projects.

I see their trucks everywhere. When one was parked at my neighbors, I inquired about a few electrical issues we were having (which, were intermittently affecting the whole house).

I contacted Mike Harley at the company. From my verbal description he suggested several possible causes. He arrived 8am the next day (earlier actually), tested his various theories, and found the one that caused the problem. 1/2 hour after arrival and at about 1/2 what I expected to pay - they were done.

One of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. John and Ty were my electricians for a new home build, they were outstanding. They communicated clearly, were always punctual, did excellent work, and maintained a clean and organized job site. They treated my home with the utmost respect, as if it were their own. I want to give your company a huge thank you for helping my daughter that had an electrical fire and you arrived within 4 hours, worked all day and the next morning had the city of Toledo out for the inspection on a holiday week and my daughter and her family in her home within 24 hours.
