Tree reviews in Toledo, Ohio

Anthony has to be one of the best contractors I've ever hired in my 20+ years as a home owner. He kept me informed, remembered the details of my requests and played no games. His pricing is very reasonable. His team is excellent, particularly the fellow you used the chainsaw on the tree. It was a very large, dying tree near electric lines. The fellow cutting did an exemplary, cautious job in what was a bit of a precarious space. All was swept up in a detailed, orderly manner and taken away at the finish. Thank you, Anthony and your team! I enjoyed doing business with you and look forward to doing more business with you in the future.

Climbing spur people were very professional and wanted to make sure everything was done safely and proper. I was very impressed with their work and would recommend them to anyone who needed their tree removed or any of there other services . Ours was close to our built in pool and house. They had to do a lot of special maneuvering to make sure everything was brought down exactly where they wanted it. I was very impressed with the skill that took. We requested to keep the firewood. They cut it to 16 inch size and stacked it all where we requested it. We did not have any mess to clean up after they left. Everything was put back the way they found it. Except the tree of course! 🤗

We had a pine tree that was approximately 65 foot tall and a maple that was approximately 40ft tall to be removed. The pine was healthy but left sap all over cars in the seconds it took to turn around. The maple was dying and had to get removed before it became a big issue. The tree removal was very quick, done professionally as well as safely. I will recommend this company to anyone needing tree services of any kind. Great crew that works together like a symphony. Very impressed with their services and you will be to! Thank you again for a fantastic job!

I had a 50’ Dawn Redwood behind my barn that needed to be court sown, plus 8 to 10 large spruce trees trimmed of large branches that were rubbing on the side of the barn, and overhanging the roof causing severe gutter clogs. Due to very tight working conditions, a lift could not be used. A crew arrived on time and began work, after discussing exactly what I wanted done. They listened, and started right in. They did a great job. To my surprise and amazement, they cleaned up all debris and left the work area much nicer than it was before they started. Several times during the work, they sought me out to get my input when they had questions. The crew was neat looking, respectful of my property and themselves. They did an outstanding job all the way around. I would use them again, and highly recommend them.

If they call you back...

Love it

Arborvitae died and still waiting two years later for a replacement! Once they get your money it's all over.

After seeing all this negative review. I changed my mind of calling them to give me a quote.

Thanks everyone for writing your review.

The workers were professional, were on time as scheduled, did an excellent job and cleaned up before leaving.

Very personal and great service. They took down 4 trees. One was in bad shape and leaning over a power line. 4 trees down and no mess.

JR Davis, the Arborist, was very informative and helpful. The quote was within expectations. I am looking forward to healthy trees.

The work was performed excellently, and I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone. JR is a fantastic advisor.

Professional, protected the turf with plywood, Post work clean up of the area, and left the cut limbs as we had agreed to. Polite to family members.

I called to receive an estimate to remove a large silver maple, The representative arrived as scheduled but did not leave an estimate and after 9 days I'm still waiting. Don't bother!

JR was very knowledgeable and understanding when it came to our dilemma about our landscaping. His attention to detail made it a pleasure to work with him.

I did not have a good experience at all. They over charged me, they cut the tree wrong, and the communication was absolutely terrible. I had to call multiple times to get the service completed. Went with another company and they are wonderful. I’ll never use or recommend Davey ever again.

JR and his team provided excellent service! They did a very nice on all of the pruning and left our property very clean, we will definitely use them again.

They quoted me, over $9000 to have one tree removed, another $1700 for a large limb that fell off the existing tree, and then another $2000 to have a additional mid sized tree removed. Oh but I forgot if I kept the wood it would have saved me about ten percent or less of the cost. Had another company come quote the same job and it will all be done for $5600.

This business has worked with us for over a year as we worked together to make the trees on our campus healthier and to plant new trees. Their advice has been great and the trees are now healthier than ever.

We have been using Davey for our lawn care for several years and have loved the service. We most recently had a tree removed and a new one planted and we love it! Thanks!

JR came out and with his knowledge helped me to find my best solution for a small stump removal and to get a quote for a larger tree overhanging my house. I just received the quote in a timely manor.
