I like to wait a few months before sending a review. My system was installed in last August. I have well water and even with my existing softener had stains in the toilets and cloudy/stained dishes/glasses. I noticed a difference immediately after installing the new Leaf system. My dishes are now clear of any residue or stains! Showers feel great. No loss of water pressure. Would install it again.

Jeez, I really wish I would've read the reviews before purchasing this system. The salesman James from the Toledo office was just horrible!!!! He is a lair, he said some pretty horrible things to my husband. Definitely a case of defamation of character!!!! He was rude and disrespectful after we welcomed him into our home. DO NOT LET JAMES INTO YOUR HOME!!!!! I have tried several time to contact Leaf Home with the promise of a return call and I have heard nothing. The installers put a damaged picket in instead of ordering a new one and told me to contact office to have it replaced. That in my opinion is very unprofessional and lazy. I would never recommend Leaf home for any of their service. I will be calling Wells Fargo to see what can be done since I can't get any type of response from Leaf Home. Again people do not for your best interest get involve with this company.

The technician who came out and installed the system was amazing—very knowledgeable and a great guy. No complaints there at all. I was a little worried about a $300 annual payment to get the bulb and filter changed the ball roughly anywhere online would Anywhere around 120 the filter maybe 40-60 bucks So you’re talking $200 and I’m fine with that but I’m not gonna pay for somebody to come out and do something to them plenty of capable doing.
However, what I wasn’t told when purchasing the system is that you can only buy the UV bulb and key through Leaf Home Water Solutions, and they do not sell those parts directly to customers. They also failed to clearly explain that there is a $300 annual charge for the UV bulb and filter.
Last year, I didn’t realize this and wasn’t happy about it because I don’t want to deal with this every single year. I would much rather change the bulb and filter myself. Now the alarm is going off again for the annual UV bulb replacement, so when I called to schedule service, I was told I supposedly owe $600+, because they claim last year’s payment didn’t go through.
This is the first time I’m hearing about this. I don’t remember anyone reaching out to me. I received no emails, no notifications, no messages. I log into my account every month to make payments, and there is nothing there showing any missed payment or warning. Because of that, I’m not willing to pay $600+ for something I was never properly notified about.
This is especially frustrating considering the system cost around $8,000. On top of monthly payments, I’m expected to pay another $300 every year, buy salt, and still can’t even purchase the UV bulb or key myself unless I go through them. You also have to make sure the bulb and key are compatible with Leaf’s system, which is unnecessarily restrictive.
I’ve tried everywhere to find the LW-UV-15CRLS bulb and a compatible key on my own, with no luck. I even told them they could come take the system back—and they refused. So now I’m stuck paying for a system I don’t even want.
If I had been told upfront that I’d be required to pay $300 annually forever for maintenance I could easily do myself, I never would have purchased this system. They should be transparent and allow customers to buy the bulb, filter, and key directly. I don’t like paying for forced maintenance when I’m fully capable of doing it myself.
In my opinion, if you don’t want to pay an extra $300 every year on top of your monthly payments, this system is not worth it. I would recommend getting a water system that allows you to do your own maintenance without being locked into proprietary parts and service fees.
That’s my experience—others can decide what works best for them. -

He was very professional in how he conducted himself with us. We will definitely be purchasing a water softener system, from this gentleman.
