Our 7 year old LG refrigerator stopped cooling. Mike from Rippe Brothers responded to our call and did an excellent job. He found that our fridge was operating in a vacuum, meaning all of the coolant had leaked from a hole somewhere. He was honest that finding the hole would be impossible, but proposed a solution involving a stop leak agent. The total cost of the agent, coolant, and service call was $250 which he explained before proceeding further with the work. He did explain that no guarantee could be given due to the nature of the repair but they had great success with the stop leak agent. Mike's honesty is what sold us on Rippe Brothers.
Left me on hold for five minutes. I called back and asked him to call me when he was free. He refused and said that my only option was to hold.
I have never been more disappointed a service repair company. Not only did they order the wrong part for our repair, but could not procure the new part for over a month (still have not received it and the appliance is not working). When I called to cancel the work order, as the part had still not come in, I was threatened with being charged for the part that had not arrived. The customer service rep, Brittany, proceeded to behave very unprofessionally and instructed me "to get my husband to teach me how to talk to people."
Rippee Brothers came out to hook up my stove and found that the guy I paid $200 had installed the fittings wrong. They fixed everything for me and made sure it was working properly and it was only $165. I will definitely use them in the future! Thank you!
Tom arrived 30 minutes early (called beforehand). Very professional. Discussed our problem and he immediately went to work. Very thorough to the extent that he vacuumed the coils, wiped down the inside of the freezer and noticed a potential problem with the water line to the ice maker and quickly fixed it. I would recommend him and Rippe Brothers.
This is the first time I have used Rippe Brothers for our appliance repair, and I am giving them the highest praise for their service, professionalism, kindness, helpfulness and doing a great job. Starting with the young woman who scheduled the appointment. She was so friendly and pleasant, and professional. Then, Mike, our repair technician did a great job. He cleaned up once he was done. He was professional, and very helpful. I told Mike that I learned a lot during his service call. Mike diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately. Great guy!
