Whempys Chimney Services did a great job cleaning and servicing our chimney. We will definitely use them for future services. I highly recommend!

I called Whempy's for an estimate for a replacement steel chimney liner after a crack was discovered in the original clay liner.

* Their estimate was over 1k less than the competition
* On time both for the estimate and service work
* Clean and professional
* The tech didn't realize the estimate included a new door for the ash cleanup. I pointed this out and it was promptly fixed the next day with no issues at all.
* The tech asked if I had any questions and were very friendly
* The tech liked my cat

We called this company per recommendation. The dispatcher did not listen to our request for a technician to come out & inspect our water heater exhaust flue within our chimney. They sent a chimney sweep out to clean our fireplace chimney which was not needed. He was there several minutes to ascertain that this was outside the scope of his services & asked that we call Whempy's office again & schedule a service call. They still charged close to $100 for this house visit. Very unprofessional. We will not recommend Whempy's to any of our contacts.

I absolutely LOVE Whempy's Chimney. They are professional, fair in pricing, they are excellent with communication and they do an EXCELLENT job! And I am very high maintenance when it comes to the level of service expect to receive.

They put a chimney liner in my home because the chimney's condition could cause a fire. I have two and plan to have them back to replace the second.

I had my chimney cleaned yesterday and they showed up in the time that was given to me. The gentleman was very professional and the clean up was great. He gave me some great recommendations about how often to clean and the product I can use. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I've used Whempy's annually for chimney cleaning for about 3 years. They're professional, courteous and efficient. I appreciate the option for weekend service during times that are convenient for my schedule. And the technicians never seem to mind that my dog barks at them the whole time.

We Simply needed a chimney recapped. It was odd not to have an appt but rather we get to these as we can. We had to kinda prod to get a time frame. I think it was simply someone not good at taking calls because they were out the next day since weather wasnt great for larger jobs. Came in cheaper too. Made perfect sense why they dont give you an appt timeframe just to get something so simple done and it allowed them to be fast and cheapest. An old way of doing business but it works.
We will be relining and converting the chimney back to wood burning eventually and will call them when we do.

They were very timely and came within less than 24 hours from my phone call to provide us with a second opinion on our chimneys. We did not need the repairs that were quoted from the other chimney company, saving us quite a bit of money. We are grateful for their assessment.

Last year the sweep did a great job cleaning. This year he told me it was still clean (I really hadn't burned many fires.) He showed me what clean looked like and talked with me about how to do some waterproofing work myself. Then the office was super helpful when I called with more questions about waterproofing. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend them.

Called and scheduled an appointment 1 month prior, and was given a 4-hour time window. The technician, JAMES, called and said he was on his way and would arrive 1.5 hours BEFORE the scheduled time window. Discussed that access to the home would be available ONLY during the SCHEDULED 4-hour time window. He indicated that he finished his other appointments early and that we were next on the list. He arrived at the house over an hour early and would not honor the 4-hour appointment window time. He left without performing any service or evaluation. Called the office contemporaneously and spoke with the "manager", who offered no resolution, other than to say "you're located further north than we usually travel and the tech is headed south for the rest of the appointments." We immediately canceled the appointment due to the unprofessional service we received from the manager and the technician, James. Would NOT recommend this company.

This company was able to promptly fit me into their schedule for an inspection (new home). The inspector was a very kind and seemingly experience young man. He did not push a cleaning service on me even though I would have not been able to discern its necessity. I was given a copy of the report to note what services are required. I will use this company again for cleanings/repairs.

Wempys was responsive to my request for a rental with a chimney in need of cleaning. We scheduled, they did the work and I paid securely.
Nice and easy, without issue.

Technician was on time, friendly and professional. I wanted a level 2 inspection on my chimney, but he discovered that the fire box did not meet code (the house is 101 years old). Thus, the fire place is not functional, so he did not do the inspection (and did not charge us for it). Very pleased with service!

Update: 3/25/2023: We had Whempy’s out to clean our fireplace again today. Made our appointment online on a Friday, and my appointment was set for Monday. Jarrod called 20 minutes before arriving and he had our chimney cleaned in no time. Everything was spotless when he left. This is a great company to work with.

Original review: We had Whempy’s out to clean and do a video inspection on 10/21/2023. I was not home at the time of the service, but I’m told that the gentleman who did the service was knowledgeable and kind. He advised that we could save a little money because we likely didn’t need a video inspection (because we have a metal flue).

My partner declined the video inspection, but I wanted the video inspection for peace of mind. We recently had a house fire and the entire wall surrounding the fireplace was damaged (burnt clean though to daylight) and the wooden chimney chase was partially burnt and ripped apart by the fire dept.

I left a message for Whempy’s to complain and they called me back first thing on Monday. They offered to come the next day to do the video inspection. It was so easy!

Whempy’s will forever be our go-to for chimney servicing. Their staff is knowledgeable and professional, they don’t do unnecessary work, and their customer service is beyond great.

We use Whempys to have our duct work cleaned. They always show up on time, friendly and very professional service. If you need your duct work cleaned give them a call. Don’t trust the ones on Facebook. Call Whempys and are totally legit! If you just purchased a home it is always good to have your duct work cleaned. If you purchase a new build home get them cleaned. Breath easy or easier!
