Our request for emergency assistance was immediately handled. The person handling the request fixed the problem but made sure we understood the problem and how to prevent it from happening again. This was a WOW experience.

My personal experience was with Jolene, and I have to say she is an amazing human being, as I had an unpleasant experience with a Field Technician driving recklessly, so I went into the actual store to bring it to someone's attention, so that it may be addressed properly, and Jolene was attentive and listened to my concerns, and she took all of the pertinate information from me in order to resolve the issue. I do not currently have an pressing plumbing needs, but when I do, I will choose this company specifically because of Jolene. This company is so very blessed to have this wonderful woman running their office!

When they arrive at my home, they always put on “booties” and are extremely professional. They explain the issue and give suggestions to solve the problem. Many times they have the parts on the truck and can fix right away.

I called Stan's Plumbing to install a bathroom faucet for me. I called them because I had previously had a good experience with them. But I made the mistake of not getting a preliminary quote for what I needed done expecting that they would be reasonably priced as they had been on the previous job they did for me in 2023.
When I called to make the appointment I told the operator I would be supplying the faucet from a retail store. The technician arrived on July 2nd and first asked if I had the faucet. I gave it to him. He looked at it and then said, okay, the cost will be $500. I was stunned! I asked him why so high and he said they would be installing new lines under the sink (retail cost about $12 for two lines). This was BEFORE he had even gone to look at my current faucet and lines. At this point, I realized because I was so dumb not to get a quote first I would still have to pay for a service call and I had no idea what that might be either. So, I told him to go ahead and install it but that I wasn't happy it was so expensive. He worked on it about 1 1/2 hours and eventually told me that because it was a retail faucet the stopper was not working well and it was leaking. I asked what the solution was and he said he could install a metal stopped instead of the plastic one I had but he did not have one on his truck so he would have to come out the next day to install it. I said ok. Then he said, "That will be another $300 for me to come out a second time." At this point I got mad! I told him I had another plumber install my kitchen faucet for $75 and that I felt like $800 to install a faucet of which I had supplied the faucet was highway robbery and that I wasn't happy. He said I could call his office to talk to the owner. He wrote up a ticket for the job for a total of $500 and I gave him my debit card to pay for the job. (BIG MISTAKE!!) Don't pay Stan's with a debit card unless you don't mind them charging you more funds than the initial quoted price! Before he left I told him I would call Stan's and talk to the office person. I got Ron on the phone the next morning and he told me his technician had told me about the service and they would try to work me in that day to finish the job with a different stopper. I questioned him about the additional $300. He said No that it would just be the original $500 quoted because they quote by the job. Later that day same tech came out and replaced the stopper and left. As he left I thanked him for finishing the job and at least it wasn't going to be any additional money. He said, "Oh yeah, is that what they said?" I said, "Yes."
You can imagine my surprise a few days later when I discovered a $580 charge on my credit union account instead of the original agreed upon quote!! I was upset!! I called Ron back the next day and complained. And he said he remembered me from calling earlier and that the additional $80 was probably for the stem stopper. Are you kidding me??!!! He admitted someone should have let me know that they had charged my debit card an additional $80 and he said he would have his billing person credit back my account. Stan's Plumbing never credit the $80 back to my account and when I called several days later his billing person said she was not aware of a request to credit the $80 back on my account.
I am done with this plumber FOREVER!! I feel stupid that I didn't get a quote BEFORE they came out BUT I thought I could trust them to treat me right. NOT SO!! I have no idea what has happened to Stan's but please be warned they are not only expensive, they will charge your credit card without telling you and they will lie to you. DON'T TRUST STAN's PLUMBING!!

Update: Stan’s did finally mail me a check for the $80 that they overcharged my debit card.

Updated: Stan’s Plumbing sent me another check for $200 to reimburse me for rhe original charge for the faucet install. Ron said he was unaware of the circumstances of the job and he wanted to make things right. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt.

The lady on the phone was very friendly and I received same-day service. However, the technician was SO RUDE and then he hit on me in the process of making me feel like an idiot. Will not be return customers.

I have used Stan's Plumbing for many years. I usually ask for the same man. I was told this time he was no longer there and had gone into business for himself. I told them I had two toilets that needed the insides replaced since they were running all the time and were 15 years old. Work was done and I was satisfied. The men they sent smelled like sewer and had mud all over themselves and my bathrooms.
When they left I offered to write a check and they said I would be billed. I received a statement for $315.70. Two men and a truck. I called and told them that this was not a two man job and only one man had done the work. They took off 50.00 which was for labor helper and said that was the best they would do. I told them I didn't see how I could do business with them again. They said fine.

They put a sewer line in for my neighbor which required digging up the easement in my yard. They did not notify me that they were going to be digging up my yard. I found out when one of the employees just walked into my back yard. I was home and my car was in the driveway and my front door was open but they didn't think it was necessary to knock on my door and ask permission to enter my yard. They ruined half my yard-not just the easement. They left a huge unsecured hole that drained sewage from my neighbors house for 3 days in my yard in a neighborhood full of children. When they finally filled in the hole they left a pile of dirt instead of evening it out. Didn't put the fence back up either. Would never ever use this company for anything. They have no respect for others people's property so how good of a job could they do.

Left us eight days last freeze without water. Looked at it on Wednesday and told us it would be the following Tuesday before they could start. A couple of temporary fixes would have gotten us to the repipe required, they left us with no water, no way to shower or even go to the bathroom and zero communication. Is a zero star review possible?

We had a horrible time getting our hot water issue resolved. We had to have a new water heater put in. The first one they brought was too wide and would not fit through the door, despite them supposedly measuring the old water heater. The next one they brought was too tall so we had to take out a shelf above it. It was finally installed but still did not fix our hot water issue. They came back the next day, turned it up and 2 days later, the hot water was ice cold again. They were also inconsistent about wearing a mask in my home. The original plumber got tired of wearing his and took it off halfway through the 7 hour visit, despite the fact that I was wearing one for him. The second guy didn't even bother with wearing one. Jolene in the office is awful. She is unprofessional and rude. She was condescending and not helpful with getting the plumber here on time. She spent most of her time arguing with me about a problem she had no idea about. I have used them in the past, but I cannot in good conscience recommend them. We will not be using them again.
