I recently hired Sparks Construction for a full home update, including a kitchen remodel, interior painting, and new carpet installation, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

From start to finish, every subcontractor they brought in was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They were always willing to take the time to answer my questions and explain the process, which made a big difference.

What really stood out was their attention to detail and their willingness to go above and beyond while still staying within budget. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final product.

I would highly recommend Brett and his team at Sparks Construction to anyone looking for quality work and a smooth, stress-free experience.

The best construction company period. They saved us after our total loss rebuild after our fire. We originally used a different contractor and had a poor experience, so when we found Sparks from a family friend, we were already in the hole financially because of the past contractor. Sparks took on the undesirable role of taking on a project midway through. Brett and Chris are good people. We were rebuilding the home to sell. They finished it before our expected timeline, and under budget. Who does that! We listed our house in a buyer's market and got 4 offers in the first couple of days and are now under contract. All thanks to Sparks!

We were incredibly lucky to connect with Sparks Construction after a major loss house fire. I expected the rebuild to take a year or more and for it to be a nightmare dealing with contractors and adjusters. Instead, Brett, Chris and their team rebuilt our home in 8 months. The timeliness was much appreciated, but more importantly they did not cut corners and delivered quality! They communicate and asked for our input. The huge thing for me is they knew how to communicate with the insurance adjuster, which is a whole other skill set in itself! Don’t hire just any builder after a house fire, you need someone with the expertise that Sparks Construction has around building after a disaster like fire or flood. Five stars is not enough for this company. They are professional and thorough. They do their best. They did our kitchen cabinets, kitchen and dining floors, living room, and hallway floors. I highly recommend 100 X!

These guys repaired our whole first floor from a water leak. You cannot ask for a more professional group then these guys. They showed up when they said they would and really did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

I hate to be writing this review but I do not recommend using this company. What should have taken a couple of weeks, ended up being a nearly 5-month process. From the very beginning, I experienced communication problems with them and would keep calling to follow up regarding the next steps in getting the work done. I admit I became very frustrated with the communication and contributed to the lack of communication a couple of times. Overall, Sparks did a very poor job with follow up, providing correct information and acknowledging and addressing problems.

Not only was there communication issues with me but among themselves. When I tried to address issues with one of the guys, I would often receive incorrect information due to not communicating with another staff. At one point, I was told not to bring anything up with the owner because he wouldn’t write things down or remember to follow through. As the work was being finished, I had texted one of the guys to inform of issues such as paint being ripped off from the tape used or paint being on the wood floors and did not receive any response back. It wasn’t until I received an invoice asking for me to pay them was there any response. It took much time to get anything resolved and there was little acknowledgement that there were actual problems.

Additionally, some of the work was just sloppy. One example was that a vent was placed in a different spot than it had been originally. I was first told they couldn’t put it back to where it had been which wasn’t true. I had to protest multiple times to get it fixed. When two men finally came to fix it, it was quite the ordeal with them yelling and arguing with one another. They even cut into the wrong place on the sheet rock, leaving a small hole. It would take months and some coaxing for Sparks to fill in the hole. When leaving, I could hear the two men argue about not telling me about something that one of the men thought I should know. I still don’t know what that was. Furthermore when painting, some of the nails were jut painted over. The movers also did a pretty sloppy job with furniture placed in random rooms. Curtains were placed on backwards. Wood floor now has a deep scratch from furniture moved. One bed was pretty dirty.

When I received an invoice following no response of the issues I was trying to address, the amount due did not match the estimate and was a pretty even number without any explanation. When I asked for an itemized list of charges, it took a couple of weeks to get this and the total amount due still did not match the invoice. I have finally given up and am tired of dealing with it. I’m glad it seems others had a better experience but it was a pretty poor one for me.

Sparks completed a renovation job for me. Employees were very nice and professional. I was extremely happy with the quality of the finished product and I would 100% recommend them to friends or family.

The team at Sparks is great! I have had them do a few different projects at my house and it has been a success every time. Quality work, but higher quality people. Give them a call!

Sparks was recommended to my wife and me after a total loss house fire in April, 2014. At first, things were great. I was confident that they understood what a traumatic experience this was, and being a young couple who had just finished remodeling their first home and was weeks away from welcoming our first child, that was the comprehensive relationship we needed from a builder. We had just done a remodel and knew every inch of our house when we lost it on our initial move in day. Sparks assured us they understood the unique nature of disaster restoration. Well, it's nearly 4 years later and they have all but disappeared leaving us with a new home build on an unstable foundation. The stress on my family has been immeasurable. We are strong and have had to fight to not miss out so many special times with our daughter while protecting the nucleus of our marriage. However, we are left a house full of cosmetic issues sitting upon major structural concerns. Many of them date back to the initial walk through in 2014. Even more from the several attempts from Sparks to inadequately remedy major issues via irresponsible bandages. They have refused to get the right professionals involved to address major issues and choose to continue deflecting and wasting time in whatever meetings we could manage to schedule with them. They promised to resolve everything multiple times and multiple times it would be yet another responsibility for my family to track them down after months of no follow through. No structural engineer was ever consulted during our rebuild. Even when some foundational and flooring issues arose, they assigned the framers who were on sight to just patch away and keep building. My home now sits on a v-shaped floor that has the entire house sloped towards the middle. Every peice of upgraded woodwork has cracked from where it was mounted and is covered in a one-coat paint job over a surface that wasn't even cleaned before being painted. Most of the drywall looks like it was prepped in the dark. Many of my light switches were mounted into crumbling drywall. After an attempt to even the floors by Sparks jacking up the middle of my house from underneath, my main hallway is covered in nail heads that popped out after the failed attempt. I could go on and on. It's been hard to describe the feelings of watching what seems like the cheapest help they could find put your home back together, wondering if any professional has any interest in helping you protect your investment. This started with so much work by a simple excited father-to-be who put hard working principles into preparing a place to welcome his daughter into the world who had to face a plain old unfortunate situation with his wife. Promises of a thourough restoration and hospitably comprehensive consultation have ended up in professional irresponsibility. As a self-employed hardworking man, I'm awestruck of how this company can even sleep at night.

Renovation with Sparks has been a joy. Two and a half bathrooms, kitchen and water damage recovery in the living room were all collaborative, creative and on time. No trauma, no drama!
Weakness in contracting documentation and project cost control/reporting are effectively countered with scrupulous honesty. Heartily recommend this company and have done so with friends and neighbors who also had positive experiences.

My husband & I hired Sparks to build our dream home. They used all of their own contractors with the exception of Lewis Roofing, who we insisted on and they did a fabulous job. Some of their contractors were fantastic such as the framing, masonry, carpenters for built ins, and HVAC. However, when it was time for appliances and other items to be installed we got $25,000 worth of items stolen. The company delivered them to the house on Friday and Monday morning they were nowhere to be found when the installers arrived. This included a massive range, refrigerator, dishwashers, fans, and many other items. In addition, Sparks hired a local company Bert Henry for the flooring install which turned out to be terrible. They did a fine job on the carpet, but the wood floors were installed incorrectly and the travertine tile is completely ruined from installation. The plumbing company was awful, and we have had multiple leaks in multiple levels of the house. Several times water has started running through light fixtures, and we have had to have plumbers out more times than I can count. Our son’s bedroom wall had to be cut during construction to fix a shower leak, and it was patched up but not repainted. Our final punch list was 2 1/2 pages long, and only about 1/2 page was actually finished. The rest was disregarded. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company.

I have used Sparks Construction for several projects over the past few years. I have always found them to be very professional. They surveyed the work to be done and provided a competitively priced estimate of cost for the work. The work was completed on time and billed as quoted. No surprises!! I would recommend Sparks Construction to anyone needing a contractor for fire or water damage. Or, for any home remodeling they are considering.

Honest, trustworthy, and responsive. These are contractors you form a relationship with. They have a great team. The communication is great and they are quick to respond to all of your questions. They know more than my insurance agent and were far more helpful in rebuilding my home and helping me with direction when my house burned down. They are geniuses in going above and beyond your expectations. I'm keeping them on speed dial for future projects I've always wanted to do.

About 1/3 of my 3000 square foot house was damaged due to fire on 5/31/2021. Sparks Construction was hired to manage the reparation. They did an excellent job of restoring everything to as good or better than before the fire. Final cost was below budget and completion almost on time, in spite of supply and labor problems related to the Covid 19 pandemic. Sparks was the best contractor experience I have had, and I will hire them again whenever I need a remodel job.

You will not find a better contractor for your construction/renovation project. Everyone with Sparks is professional and honest. Brett actually saved us money by helping us totally redesign our master bathroom. They were patient with my last minute changes and made sure everything was done to my high standards. Sparks Construction was first recommended to me to repair extensive damage from the 2007 ice storm. They rebuilt our roof and remodeled most of the interior of our home. We were highly satisfied with their work. Since then, Sparks has been our go-to for every project we've done on our home, including building a large deck, replacing the wall of a room with windows, and replacing an exterior door with a window, all of which they have done with excellent workmanship at a reasonable cost. The owner is a person of integrity. They are getting ready to several more smaller projects for us which I anticipate will also be completed with quality workmanship and at a reasonable price.

I highly recommend Sparks Construction for their expertise and great quality of work. They completely rebuilt my house after a major fire, and did a great job of staying within the budget and keeping me informed along the way. It is now updated and new. They helped turned a catastrophe into a blessing.

Sparks did a complete remodel of our 70 year old ranch home. They did an excellent job and we couldn't be happier with our 'new' home. We knocked out several walls and added an approximately 650 ft addition. We have all new insulation, plumbing, electrical and air and are happy with it all. The stonemasons and cabinet makers were true craftsmen. Their employees are considerate, polite and professional. I highly recommend them.
