Troy was extremely helpful, kind and diligent. We contacted Total Comfort Solutions due to a recommendation and we were very pleased. Troy didn’t try to sell us things we didn’t need and his services were reasonably priced. Another company tried to convince us our system needed to be replaced completely; however, Troy was able to fix our problem for a fraction of the cost of a new system. We felt like we could trust Troy and that he was very honest with us throughout the process. I highly recommend Total Comfort Solutions!

The air tech Spencer is awesome . He is very patient and will explain everything to you in detail (especially for a senior to understand). He won't up sell you anything you don't need. He is very thorough checking everything. He is very polite.

I have heard many stories on Next Door about AIRCO overcharging people and fixing things that were not actually broken, but did not experience that myself until this week. An air conditioning repairman told me an AIRCO story about an elderly couple that was getting married and selling both of their homes. They were trying to get their homes in shape to sell, and called AIRCO to come check their air conditioners. The AIRCO technician, not realizing that the couple knew each other (they had different last names and different addresses), diagnosed the same problem with each unit, stating that they were not working and would need extensive repair. The couple thought this was odd and called Total Comfort Solutions (TCS) for a second opinion. Upon examination of the two units, the TCS repairman found that the AIRCO repairman had CUT THE SAME WIRE ON BOTH UNITS! My A/C unit was 3 years old and was never maintained by the previous owner, with dirty coils and an even dirtier air filter. With our 100+ degree heat, AIRCO said this caused it to burn up some wiring, a fuse in the heater, a capacitor and the compressor. With the capacitor costing $225, replacing burned wiring, a fuse in the attic, replacing the freon, and having to exchange the compressor through warranty, my final bill would be $2800. After we signed off on the work, he went ahead and replaced the heater fuse, capacitor, and burned wiring, but we were going to have to wait a week for the warrantied compressor. Meanwhile, a friend told us about Total Comfort Solutions and said we would probably be better off getting a new unit through them. To AIRCO’s credit, they let me out of the contract, as the new compressor had not yet been ordered, and I paid them for the work they had already performed. The TCS repairman showed up with a new unit on his truck, but when he heard that AIRCO was the company that had diagnosed all of the problems, he thought he had better take a look for himself. The first thing he found was a wire connected incorrectly, which he said was either stupidity or thievery (the AIRCO technician’s bio said, “27 years’ experience”). After fixing that, the fan unit on the compressor started running. He asked me to go turn on the A/C at the thermostat, and by the time I got back outside, he had the condenser running and the house was cooling off. Keep in mind, the TCS gentleman already knew that AIRCO had declared the unit in need of extensive repair, and he could have easily gone ahead and replaced the condenser with the one on his truck, but he was an honest man and fixed my condenser for $160. I had already paid AIRCO for the work that they had completed (only to find out that the “$225 capacitor” could be bought on Amazon for $17-22, depending on the model). Growing up, I had always heard of the stereotyped crooked repairmen who took advantage of mechanically illiterate people who knew nothing about cars, air conditioners, etc. I am shocked to find out that things like that still happen, especially with a highly advertised and well-known company like AIRCO. Needless to say, I have a new company that I’m trusting with my A/C’s—Total Comfort Solutions (that’s their truck pictured). They have all of the aspects of integrity that I look for: honesty, strong moral principles, respect, and generating trust.

Troy Zickefoose came to the house and evaluated the heating/air system and made recommendations to call Bob Hensen at Air Ducts Unlimited. He is coming to clean the ducts on Tuesday. I am very pleased with the experience so far. Thank you.

I truly cannot brag on Troy Zickefoose and Total Comfort Solutions enough!!! Our AC went out on Monday and the house was up to 81 that night and 85 the next night. He brought out window units until we could decide on a system and then they got our new system installed today (Friday)! It is a bill no one likes - but Troy and the whole crew sure help it not be as bad! He went through all the options and truly helped me make the best choice for our house! They took care of us at our old house and now at our new house! Love them!

I love Total Comfort. They always do a good job, are very responsive and can always make time for us. Today, Spenser was so nice and patient with me. He got our semi-annual check up done in no time and we are good to go for another 6 months. Great company!

The service technician, Loc, listened and communicated the issues clearly. He quickly restored the services that didn’t require parts and described what additional steps he will take on his next visit. I highly recommend him and intend to ask for him in the future.

Coming out to clean & service mom's HVAC on same day due to her age & a holiday weekend coming was such a blessing for she & I as well. The service is always great for me too. I volunteer at The Salvation Army Thrift Store and our A/C had been out. Your company sent Tyler to repair the unit. I must say he was very kind, professional and informative to myself, our new Store manager and our board member. We truly appreciate his great customer service and the fact that he fixed our A/C. What an awesome experience. My air duct lost a battle with a possum and total comfort came out quickly to provide me with an estimate and was able to get back out in just a few days to replace the duct. Meredith in the office was so sweet and helpful and my technician Luc was fantastic. They’ve made me a loyal customer!

Each service that I have received from Total comfort solutions has been explicit. The service that they provide for their customers is very rewarding. Those of you who do not have an air conditioning service with anyone, I suggest that you choose Total Comfort Solutions you will not go wrong. The workers are very courteous and they don't have to come back a second time to perform the service from the first beginning.

As a woman living alone, I was understandably cautious when calling a repair man to visit my home, concerned about potential overcharging or unnecessary repairs. However, my experience with Total Comfort Solutions was excellent. They demonstrated professionalism & honesty, which made me feel at ease. They even repaired my geothermal heat-air unit at 8:00 p.m., and the cost was very reasonable. I am thoroughly impressed with their service and will be a loyal customer.
